For me it's the best jerk chicken place I've been to. I love their gravy and the flavour is consistently good and you can tell they're sticking to their tried and tested recipe. Chips and gravy a delight. Always a friendly vibe and nice service. Great price as well at 8.50 for jerk chicken. Love it

We love jerk chicken but here we was a little disappointed because the chicken had a weird aftertaste to it but apart from that it was very good

Tried a lot of Jamaica food in Liverpool & Manchester & if I say this place is absolutely Devine the flavour in buzz rocks food is absolutely sensational! You will not be disappointed at all!

We ordered catering from Buzzrocks and they were brilliant! I chatted with Farida on the phone and she accommodated all our dietary requirements - including adding some (delicious) alternative dishes for vegans! Farida and her son arrived very promptly at the venue to drop off the food and were super friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend for catering events! Thank you Buzzrocks :)

I recently visited this jerk chicken shop and was impressed with the quality of the food. The chicken was succulent, and the sauce was rich and flavoursome, perfectly complementing the meat. The rice and peas were also well-cooked and delicious. That said, I do have a small gripe. The £1.50 extra charge for cooked vegetables, which included some cabbages and carrots, was not mentioned upfront. This was disappointing, especially when another jerk chicken spot on Piccadilly market offers complimentary salad and coleslaw and considering the quantity wasn't huge. Despite this, everything else was great. If they could consider providing complimentary sides or improving transparency around additional charges, this place would easily earn a 5-star rating. As it stands, it's a solid 4 stars. Keep up the great work on the main dishes!

What was meant to be a trip down memory lane turned into disappointment. I use to love this place 8 years ago when I went to uni in Manchester. For four years I consistently ate at this spot as it was one of the most authentic Caribbean places I came across. Food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Lacked the flavours I came to expect. The service is really transactional. You have about 3 people shouting at you asking what you’d like to order without greeting you or a simple smile. Felt a little weird.

My son and I found this during our stay in Manchester, and is definitely worth returning for. The food was delicious absolutely spot on portion size, flavour combo! I would have had cake too if they'd not all sold out. There was a great atmosphere, a limited amount of seating but perfect for the size. My son and I took a window seat, side by side and infront of the stereo whilst adding some decent tunes to my playlist. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was cash only and there was a machine really close to the entrance...Oh and the food is worth every penny 😀

Got the Jerk chicken special. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Jerk sauce lacked flavour and didn't really taste like jerk. However, the taste wasn't bad 5/10 also got the lamb curry, same as the jerk it was more like a gravy and didn't really taste how I was expecting. However, it wasn't terrible. 4/10. Personally, if I'm looking for Jamaican authentic, it wouldn't be here. I'd stop here for a quick heavy carb and protein based meal.

Really enjoyed the lamb chops and the curry goat such tender meat great portion size great value for money and plenty of sauce to compliment the meat will be ordering again in the future 😀

I’m sorry to say the jerk chicken was disappointing, it was just a piece of chicken breast with some gravy on it, it did not taste like it was properly seasoned and marinated and the veg was overcooked. Also the service was very rushed, no time to think about your order

A Truly Disappointing Experience. I had heard from many about Buzzrock's fabled food and reputation. I now have to ask if the people who talk about Buzzrocks were on some kind of Hallucinogenic narcotic. This is not Jerk Chicken. You can call it something else, but not Jerk Chicken. The Jerk Sauce/gravy was nothing of the sort. and the chicken seemed and tasted like it was boiled or roasted in a casserole. Back to the Gravy/Sauce. Honestly to call it Chip Ship Gravy, is an insult to all the local Chippy's who put in effort and hard work into giving a good attempt at a gravy (and the rest of the food) resulting in a nice experience. This Gravy tasted and felt like a poor imitation of what a good Sunday Roast gravy should taste like. Added to that ... what is it doing in a Jerk Chicken Dish ? I question how Buzzrocks has gained a reputation for authentic Caribbean food. It provides nothing of the sort. If you are happy with a poor facsimilia of what Caribbean food should be, then this is your place. Otherwise you will be very disappointed. #RIP Jerk Junction... come back soon.

My experience was nothing short of disappointing. I asked for the jerk chicken and rice and peas with gravy, but what I received was far from satisfying. The chicken consisted solely of dry breast pieces, lacking any authentic jerk flavour as it seemed to have been prepared in a rotisserie. The rice and peas were bland, devoid of the expected taste. To add insult to injury, the so-called jerk gravy resembled something more akin to bisto or chip shop gravy, utterly lacking in flavour. I can only rate this experience a dismal 1 out of 10.

Travelled 45 minutes to try jerk chicken they had ran out and wouldn't cook anything fresh as they shut in 40 minutes! They only had fried chicken. Disappointing went to jerk junction instead which was fab! Would order ahead if planning on eating here!

Not been here for a long time, if you want Caribbean food this is the place to go, very tasty, son wanted lamb chops but they had sold out so the guy serving asked if i would like steak...so I bought brown chicken stew and steak with veg, rice and peas for tea, not to forget cake...Could not fault it 5.stars.

buzz rocks review i began my journey into caribbean cuisine with a stupendous, authentic taste of ital vital curry, and not one, but two, dumplings. At first I was astonished. How could I, a measly white girl, have gone my entire life without such a flavour sensation. The potatoes were smooth, tender almost, as if they had been bathing in the warm shores of the Caribbean itself. The rice danced in my mouth alongside the decadent, soft vegetables. The flavours married in my mouth, and oh boy was it a wedding. Suddenly, madness ensued. The dumplings, warm kisses of stodge, began to besiege me. My stomach felt as if it was a medieval fortress under a barrage of infinite flavour. The vegetables were launched into my throat as if assisted by a trebuchet. The thick dumplings felt like cannonfire, and I now regretted getting two. The man in the shop in fact was impressed by my courage, however I was naive, for it was my first time. I was unprepared for the challenge ahead. I sit here now, belly full, satisfied, yet frustrated. I stare at my takeaway box with adoration, but also with fear. I am disappointed I could not complete this task. It will be finished later this eve. However, it will never quite match the first tender kiss on my tongue that Buzz Rocks gave me. Steaming hot, loving. Buzz Rocks has cleansed my soul. Henceforth, I shal devote my dying days to exploring caribbean gastronomy. I am a changed woman. In short, Buzz Rocks is mint.

Usually, get rice and beans with vegetables & plantain as I'm plant-based. I was on my lunch break and heading to a job and could not resist! Ordered a Plantain Split(Vegan Version of Chicken Split) & Vegetable Patty and also, got their Jerk BBQ sauce. Not over the top with the Jerk Spice/heat with a lovely sweet and tangy aftertaste. They stated they have other versions of the Jerk Sauce. I purchased one to compliment my split and patty. Great work! And Levi Roots have a run for their money 😉 Levi knows he is a legend and is happy for another Caribbean company getting praise. Much love to the staff at Buzz Rocks for feeding the community with great food at reasonable prices. Good food does not have to cost the earth and the atmosphere is always good vibes and banter from Buzzrock and the staff. Much continued success to you all!

Very tasty Carribean food, I phoned the order through, good job as it was queuing out the door when we got there. The chicken was so tasty with rice & peas and the dumplins are great. Might try a full chicken next time as they looked delicious going round on the spit

Walking past this place the other day as I am new to Manchester and had to give it a try. Amazing Curry Goat/Jerk chicken, friendly staff that gives a bit of banter. By Far the best gravy I have ever had. Really Impressed.

Owned a biz round corner and this was our Lunch go too for 20+ yrs. Manage to get back here 2 or 3x a year and the TASTE never changes. Mad Love & Respect.

My husband started coming here for his dinner breaks and fell in love with it. One night brought it home for our tea and omggggg that’s it never looks back! Everything about it just beautiful! I get excited when he says we’re having it for tea 😂❤️ Honestly it’s so good! And the home made school cake and banana cake 🤤 Everyone needs to try this place you won’t be disappointed

Son started University a couple of weeks ago and told me and his mum about the place which was not far from his accommodation. Excellent food, fantastic staff and the owner was lovely.

They sell curry lamb and call it curry goat.

I’m new to Manchester. I tried their chicken and chips once and fell in love with it. It is near my Uni so I almost go everyday. They’re the best in the city till now, for me. Do try their special Caribbean gravy.

First time I’ve been. Somebody recommended jerk chicken with rice, vegetables and curry sauce. Very tasty with a good portion. Would definitely recommend the pineapple punch drink!

Good portions but far to dry needs some sauce over the chicken so that you can mix in with the rice won't be ordering again stick to kool runnings
