A special treat for my mum’s 80th Birthday. A savoury tea which was absolutely delicious, with lots of homemade produce baked. A lovely atmosphere and they couldn’t do enough for us!! Mum absolutely loved it. Made her day special. I highly recommend Buttercream Tearoom’s!!

I cannot say how wonderful the team were when supplying a buffet for my dad’s wake. Everything was perfect and fresh and such a good choice and variety. I have no hesitation in using them again and recommending to all friends and family. We wanted it to be perfect for dad and it certainly was -Thankyou Katie, Ruth and the team 👍

Would like to thank the staff for accommodating my self and wife to the afternoon tea, as we didn't know pre booking was required. We really enjoyed the food and lots of it, this made a great change from our normal lunch time. Great service and very helpful staff. Thanks again John and Mal

Lovely place , first time visiting. We had the afternoon tea booked in. They even made my portion of the food vegetarian , and the rest was normal food. Loved the selection of food and cakes. Also I had cups of teas but others in my party had coffees as well. Really lovely place , will definitely visit again when passing through the town.

The BEST afternoon T I have EVER experienced, and I’ve had a few.

Went for breakfast. A quaint atmosphere. I loved the 'we don't have wifi we talk to each other' sign! A good menu was available. I had vegetarian breakfast : tomato, veggie sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, eggs and toast. Oh yes and a pot of tea in a lovely teapot with a china cup! Bliss! The cafe was lovely. Service was polite, efficient and friendly. Well worth a visit.

We celebrated our Ruby Anniversary here on Sunday. Absolutely fantastic! Service was excellent nothing too much trouble and you were all so good with our grandchildren. The food was also excellent, everything was so fresh and delicious. Being able to have the tea room for a private function was just what we wanted and the location was perfect for everyone. We cannot thank you enough for a lovely afternoon x Lynda & Paul

Did a surprise birthday 🎂 for sister, friendly people lovely atmosphere didn't feel rushed at all, enjoyed the whole experience. Food tasted so fresh. Had a lovely private area for me and my family. Deffo go again.

It was a Monday and w had to book a table at lunch time! The welcome was excellent the service was quick but not rushing you. The coffee's where nice and hot and the wood arrived very well presented and it tasted very good again and was nice and hot so where the plates Well done on a busy Monday and we shall go again

Had our baby shower here and cannot thank you enough. From initial booking right up to the big day Ruth and the team were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious and service excellent as always. Cannot wait to go back in the new year when the baby has arrived! Xx

I have just visited the tearoom and even though i knew i was late in the day they served me like the first. The lemon cake i had was moist and fresh while the latte i had was equally superb. If this is the standard of service at the end of the day it just shows the customer comes first.

I’ve been here a few times now for afternoon tea, never disappoints. Absolutely delicious.

Really liked this tea room. Lunch was delicious, good selection, afternoon tea to order, more seating around the back. A hidden gem off the Main Street via the courtyard. Will visit again :)

Visited today with my daughter for afternoon tea. Can't fault the service,food or surroundings. Even gluten free was a good as non gluten free. China cups and saucers and a "proper" teapot made the experience feel very special too. First visit but definitely not the last.

Went in for cake and a drink with my daughter, mentioned it was her birthday and they put a candle in her cake and sang happy birthday to her. Was so very nice of them and very thoughtful. Will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic! First time here and would definitely go again. I booked a birthday afternoon tea and couldn't fault it one bit. Lovely little tearoom. Staff greeted us at the door and were super friendly (very attentive the whole time) sat us down at a table they had decorated for us free of charge. Food was all home made and so tasty, sadly we couldn't finish it all but was offered a take out box to put the rest into which was fab!

Wonderful meeting place for a relaxed lunch and catch up with a friend. Can't recommend enough....delicious homemade ham egg and chips today, followed by more chatting and a pot of tea & scones.

My husband ordered takeaway afternoon tea for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious (I'm a fussy eater) and my plate was empty in no time. I would recommend Buttercream Tearoom to anyone. 5 stars for us.

Lovely tea room. Afternoon tea was very nice. Had savoury and traditional for our party. Savoury was served on a platter and excellent selection. Traditional had Lovely cakes. Sandwiches were OK.

A lovely little tea room. Quick service and delicious food. Very traditional but well done decor. If there was any gripe at all it's that it is always very busy and very difficult to actually get a table most of the time, but that's not really a problem, it's just something to be mindful of. I would definitely suggest booking well ahead of time to ensure you get a seat.

Such a wonderful cafe / afternoon tea. Organised to have my cousins baby shower at buttercreams and it was absolutely perfect! The food was gorgeous, such beautiful details like the lovely china tea cups and tea pots. Lovely staff and just a lovely friendly, welcoming cafe. The ladies on the day and when organising were so helpful and the quality of the afternoon was such value for money. Thank you! Cant recommend enough 🥰

Many thanks to the lovely Lady I spoke to on the phone who very kindly organised an afternoon tea voucher for a very good friends special birthday. She personally delivered it to my friends address who lives in Hinckley. I spoke to him today and he told me that him and his partner are regular customers ! They told me in thier opinion, it was the best place in town for something to eat. Fantastic service and a great example of keeping it local.

A hidden gem ...luvly ladies .Yorkshire tea and the best fish finger sandwich and side salad in the land ..well worth a visit in these days of tiny portions and rubbish service !!

Staff were lovely, food was excellent and the drink I had today, it was nice. Would definitely recommend to others as it's located away from the main road, which is good if you want peace and quiet. Would come again.👍

We had a fabulous take away afternoon tea from Buttercream Tearooms yesterday for a birthday treat with my friends. Everything about it was wonderful. All the items were well boxed up. One of my friends is gluten free and she really enjoyed her tea, which included a slice of quiche which she said she's never had as GF before. Just the right amount of food for everyone. Thank you Buttercream Tearooms for helping me celebrate my birthday in great style! Will definitely visit you again! ❤️

Always amazing food and service

This is a lovely cafe , but it has a window that let's the sun in and it makes you hot . Needs a curtain ! Was quite annoyed when we were asked to swap with a young couple so they didn't have to get hot and we would and we are a lot older 😔

Ordered the jacket potato and sent it back twice as was uncooked so my friends waited while I then ordered the soup

Had a surprise 30th birthday afternoon tea here with 3 other ladies and there was one person gluten free another dairy free and another lady who is dairy and gluten free and they was all catered for nobody was left out they was made to feel they wasn't restricted with their dietary needs. The range of cakes and sandwiches were all yummy the presentation was perfect staff were so lovely and so very attentive. Highly recommend buttercream room for a lovely afternoon tea xx

Very nice place, staff made room for a afternoon tea as it was a birthday.

Visited today for a light lunch with Debs. I had the Gammon, Egg and Chips, which was lovely. Debs had a pot of tea, a bowl of chips, and then finished with a gorgeous scone. I also had a vanilla milkshake which was unreal, tasted so good! The ladies serving were lovely too. All in all as with my previousd visits, everything was great. Thouraghly recommended.

A friend and I turned up around 12.30 on Friday without having booked. They were very busy but managed to give us a table. Lovely friendly staff, plenty of time to peruse the menu. We both opted for the quiche of the day - Cheese, onion and tomato, which was absolutely delicious. We have both been several times before, for various occasions and meal options, and will definitely be going again soon.

My young Granddaughter and I had the delights of an Afternoon Tea at Buttercreams today and it was absolutely delicious. We had separate tiered plates and the childs tea had lots of "child" suitable goodies. The adult tea was varied and generous as well as being yummy. The service was great. Nothing too much trouble and the young lady serving us was delightful. My granddaughter dropped her cupcake and I wanted to pay for the replacement but she wouldn't hear any of it. Thank you so much for a really lovely experience. Look forward to our next visit....🥰 .....

Buttercream catered for my Granddaughter’s Christening yesterday. Lovely food and lovely atmosphere. The ladies worked hard to make sure we had a great afternoon (and gave up their Easter Sunday) and nothing was too much trouble, even catering for a guest who was gluten and dairy free. Bonus - the sun came out and we were able to sit outside! Thank you so much x

Had a lovely afternoon tea /baby shower here for my daughter.This is a lovely welcoming quaint venue which was ideal for our party size of 18 people. The food was delicious with a good variety of sandwiches and cakes.The staff were lovely and very welcoming allowing me to arrive early to add a few trimmings to the tables.All of the guests commented on how impressed they were with the food and the venue. Would highly recommend to anyone looking at booking afternoon tea or a little celebration here .

A friend took me to this cafe for my birthday. When we first arrived there was no-one to greet us and when someone did appear she seemed almost surprised to see us. We were both disappointed with the cakes on offer, both in variety and quality. The teapots had no cosy over it so the tea quickly cooled. There are loads of plastic flowers around the room but personally I would have preferred to see fewer but fresh flowers. Altogether not what we expected. Very disappointing.

Needed gluten free afternoon tea and this was provided almost identical to normal tea. Excellent service with friendly staff - will definitely go again.
