Bustler Derby in Derby

Bustler does family events very well. However, as a trader last weekend at a vintage fair, it was a terrible experience. The marketing was clearly aimed at family fun but the nature of the makers market was vintage and hand made. I was lucky to at least make my costs back but most others were not. This is a shame for not just us but the people of Derby who would have been thrilled to attend such a high quality fair had they known about it. This review is intended to ensure better promotion and collaboration with the micro businesses also struggling to survive and thrive.

Amazing spring weekend event, food and service was great and the craft and flea market was a brilliant addition!

I may be doing it a mis-service, but went for the Martin Kemp 80's night. Lighting was so bad you could only see silhouettes on stage, and his microphone didn't work so we couldn't hear him either. Ticket price inflated and drinks were too expensive.

Complete ripoff, went here for the St Patrick's celebrations, supposed to be food 'stalls', one horsebox selling chips and burgers, the only Irish food about it was the word 'irish' infront of chips, no fire eaters, no roaming entertainers, no booth, the place had no heating, you had to pay £1 deposit for the glass but u didn't actually get the pound back, the place was a joke😡

Great night at the Bingo. Downside it was freezing in there and the bar queue was stupid 😔

Been coming to bustler a while and always have a great time. Went to their Christmas party on 7/12 and was served by a lovely member of staff. I’m really sorry I can’t remember his name but he very kindly made us fresh drinks when a group accidentally bumped into us and spilt them. He was so sweet and really accommodating, just feel like he needs a special mention as he made our night even better. Bustler, your events never fail to disappoint, thank you for bringing the good vibes to derby x

Top top venue. Christmas party night was GREAT fun! Queues for the food trucks but that is to be expected. Food options were great! Bar not too expensive for a night venue. Entertainment was fab! Defo will be back!

Attended for the Euro's England final event. No response to my complaint despite 3 emails over the previous 6 weeks. I had purchased 8 tickets, queued up before opening time to ensure a good table view of the main screen. Whilst between our group spending several hundreds of pounds awaiting for kick off. I was shocked and disappointed that the main screen was not displaying the match. For the first half we were waiting and assuming for the screen protector to be fixed. Although staff seemingly made no effort to restore the viewing screen and subsequently, we seen very little of the first half. This resulted in us having no option but to watch it on the alternative smaller screens. Which was the equivalent of being in any pub or home location in the country without needing a paid sold out entry.

Really chilled, family friendly place during the day.

My favourite place, always great food, drinks and atmosphere! Shame it’s not on every weekend!

Went for bingo loco, which was brilliant. Unfortunately, there was no food service, which was promised. We were in there for 4 hours and nothing to eat whilst consuming alcohol - quite irresponsible. Toilets are disgusting!!! The cubicles are covered in magazine pages, and at the side of the toilet is chipboard - neither of which can be cleaned. Ugh.

No food available, staff rude, event started hours later than planned with no communication. Would avoid.

We went recently for our Christmas party, 3rd year we've been as we usually have a great time. Unfortunately, this time, it was a terrible experience. We had to shout at each other to be heard over the deafening music. Completely.spoiled our ability to catch up with old friends. They handed out the disco headphones as usual at the end of the evening, but the band were so damn loud that people just left them on the side as they were pointless. A real shame as the previous year was so good.

Love going here for their events and work parties. Silent discos are our favourite. They have three different channels on the headsets so you can listen to different music. The headphones have led lights on the side so you can see which channel everyone is listening to. They always have different food vendors so we can try loads of different places. The bar can be busy but the prices are generally reasonable.

Went for oktoberfest this weekend, £22 ticket for entry only, beer £7.50 a pint £14 stien. Speakers are all bust and couldn't hear what anyone was saying through the speakers but they were crackling that loud you couldn't hear anything else in the room either! If your going to charge a premium price you need to supply a premium venue! Won't be going to any other events there

Always a good vibe at bustlers Market. The best food vendors are always selected for the venue. Tasty and a great value for money. The atmosphere is chilled. Great for enjoying the food and enjoying a bevvy. A great place to share with your friends or work colleagues. I highly recommend this venue.

I love going here! Food is always great, with good veggie and vegan options. Music is quite loud, but I love the atmosphere otherwise. And there are occasional dogs, so that's always good too.

Went for a works night out. Pay a pound to get in. Lots of tables great atmosphere. There's lots of arcades with free tokens to put in. But the food is extremely overpriced (ten quid for basic loaded fries and that was the cheapest!) and the beer selection very lacking (never heard of any of it and all tasted the same. I did enjoy it though!

We have now been to Bustler twice, as I love street food and I was drawn by variety. As non drinkers, we were after some excellent food. One thing to note, parking is not easy! The first visit was enjoyable; we had a blue cheese burger from one vendor and chicken kiev loaded fries from another vendor and we really enjoyed both of these. There was a lot of choice but unfortunately one of the places wasn't open that day that we were looking forward to. We paid for entry just for Bustler, which I believe was £2.50 as it was an event weekend but they had free play on all of their games (fun, but many weren't working). It was nice weather and we were all sat outside which was beautiful. The next visit we came for the beer and burger festival, we paid £5.50 per ticket. Unfortunately, two of the vendors we were looking forward to weren't there but we still had something from the other stalls. The fried chicken burger was unseasoned, but our other food was good, if a bit overpriced given the entry fee. We were really disappointed about the no show vendors and we were mostly underwhelmed. Luckily, everything was indoors as the weather was naff! I think this is a place that is suited for drinkers and for social occasions less than for people on the hunt for excellent food.

I hate to be 'that' person but I was so gutted when I visited at the weekend. There were only 4 food vendors and not one of them appeared to offer anything plant based or gluten-free. It was all fried food with meat or flour so totally unsuitable. Shame as I was really looking forward to it. Would be nice to see some allergy conscious vendors in future and at least 1 vendor with a plant based option. I'm sure I wasn't the only disappointed visitor. At least it was only £1 entry 🤣 !

Had a great time here on Friday evening! Hadn't been before, but had heard all good things, and was not disappointed. Great atmosphere, plenty to do, good drinks. Will definitely return, a great night out!

Great place to go and relax inside or outside, close to the train station and town.

New policy of paying non refundable £1 for a plastic cup is insane. No justification for it when the drinks are already charged at a premium price point.

Expensive. £1 to get in, £1 for a glass which gets recycled, £5.10 for pint and £13 for a pizza. Good atmosphere but won’t return .

My first time at bustlers beginning of July, Sunday afternoon, so not sure if the date and time were not good for food selections? Only got to pick from Thai + vegan so this was disappointing. Other than that nice surroundings with an outdoor seating with sun brollies and partial covering, and an indoor warehouse with lots of room. Drinks selection ample and lots of bits and pieces for kids to do, board games, console, bean bag game and more. Did pay £1 to get in waived if you have a blue light card or DCFC season ticket.

First time and last time visit, charging to enter a car park, we had a burger £13 that was the most disgusting I've ever put in my mouth, it was quite busy and the atmosphere was good,no entertainment at the time we visited

I would just like to say thank you to all of your staff and in particular Georgia for facilitating our party on Saturday 24th. My brother, Jerry and I, had an amazing time, the food was great, the vintage sale a huge hit with the teenagers and the silent disco was hilarious. Pretty disappointed tbh. Only 2 vans for food, 1 vegan 1 not. Tried to get food and was told they weren't taking orders.

I've visited Bustler a few times now and I've always found the atmosphere really good. The choice of food is good, there's plenty of indoor space, outdoor space and shade. Dogs and kids are welcome and catered for. Definitely worth a visit.

Well, what can be said... I'd not heard of this before I was invited for a works party. Street food, a well served bar and decent music give this place the feel of something very different yet really appealing. I would imagine in summer it's a top top night out, as we visited late April it was still a little chilly outside but inside there are games, loads of seating areas and stuff like silent discos going on. Little gem this one long may it evolve and continue we will be back

Great idea, quite busy when we arrived had the pulled pork grilled chicken burger in a brioche bun which was delicious, drinks in plastic cups bottle of prosecco was £20 I think.

Prices are reasonable for booze, service is a touch slow but you do get companies with people ordering 50 shots at a time. If In winter, it is COLD. Wrap up.

Interesting venue, good for groups. The old school arcade area is a fun way to get folk interacting. On the night I went food options were limited

The food is different each time, but usually it's good food, it's great to just go and have a beer at this place. Great for a squad of mates that just wanna chat and a drink.

This place is great. I'm glad it's every month. New vendors every time. Maybe they should get some new dessert places in though. I've seen they've added some doughnut places recently! Top marks

First visit today 29th October, atmosphere was okay, drinks very very expensive, food very expensive, arcade activities not good, they took yr money but didn't work. We won't be going again, not sure how these young people afford it? We ended up in town and got drinks and meals at half the price.

Absolutely love it at Bustler Market... Especially with the recent '6 weeks of Summer' where I managed to attend the last 3 weeks, any excuse to celebrate and enjoy my 40th 😅🤣. Such an incredible variety of street food, great staff on the bar/floor, decent beer, I tried the Jubel Grapefruit beer for the first time today. It has great vibes and has plenty to keep the kids happy too.

Don’t get the big wow with this place, although it has a good selection of drinks, there’s basically nothing for non drinkers…Fanta or coke 🙂 not much of an atmosphere in the day either. Maybe it’s different at night

Great venue. Bizarre mixture of things going on there, but all in all a great place with and interesting atmosphere. Lovely for people of all ages. Food was great (although the food we chose was really overpriced 😂🤦‍♀️) and the drinks were great. Will definitely return if we are in the area again :)

Zeer sfeervolle locatie waar je kan eten, drinken, dansen en lachen. Het concept is (voor mij) uniek, want de combinatie van een grote loods met een kledingwinkel, een disco en een bar met buiten een verzameling eettentjes ben ik nog niet eerder tegengekomen. Aanrader!

Large venue, plenty of tables in industrial setting and outside. Two food stalls available tonight so hope you like kebab or Indian. Prices a bit high.

I had a cracking 1st event here at the rum and gin festival.... they needed to turn on some lights once it darkened as you could not read the brochure or the bar staff could not see what they were doing

Such a great vibe! Definitely a good option for people who like to try a mix of food or meet with picky eaters - the food is always good quality and tasty the only negatives are the prices are a little bit expensive and with the venue being outdoors mainly people can smoke around you which for some Iis a negative (especially when eating)

A good place for whatever event you’re hosting; I was there with several small businesses - including Colleague Box, Divine Box, Candle Mad, Pat-A-Cake bakery, Letterbox Love, So Good Kombucha, Withers Gin, Love Laa Laa Land & Mr Shaw - raising funds for families in Ukraine. Bingo Loco looks brilliant and the food choice is fab. Definitely worth a visit.

Not impressed with the whole experience. Disappointed with the food and drinks menu. They were not tables they were shelves and not suitable to sit 6 people at. Would not recommend it and would not entertain going again.

Went here for a Christmas office party, food was amazing, great atmosphere and was actually seen despite the really cold outfits at the time my only finishing is that the music was super loud and i could hardly talk or listen to anyone

Fabulous atmosphere and lots of open space. The voucher system on pre booked parties is a little bit of a let down, as you don't see the breakdown of the voucher
