Busaba Eathai in Tower Hamlets

I was not happy with the12.5% gratuity. Service was sub standard, waitress was flappy and unimpressive. I felt unable to challenge service charge. Not sure I will visit again.

This was a lovely place to eat - we were able to walk in, and be seated outside in the area that is covered overhead - and the food was delicious. The service was good too and if you're going there with a child or children, they are catered for BUT TAKE NOTE- KIDS EAT FOR FREE. They don't tell you this, it's not advertised anywhere except on the website. You have to mention this to your server, for them to deduct the children's order from your bill. Apart from that - it was a lovely dining experience.

We were waiting nearly 45 minutes to even order food, not great during a lunch break. Food was distinctly average when it did come out, and wasn't really worth the wait.

Our food and especially the Mini Ribs were excellent and should be a main meal. The service from the staff was also excellent, were served by Gaurav and Rahul two great guys.

We ate at Busaba in Westfield Shepherds Bush and had a great experience. The servers Gaurav and Rahul were very good. The whole meal was excellent, in particular we had the pork ribs as a starter which were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for a wonderful experience and meal Busaba.

Nice seating, cool environment I the warm weather, okay food (seriously, I'm not Thai but my Pad Thai is no worse), but also automatic service charge of 12.5% on a single plate lunch meal without any warning. Won't be coming again.

The service provided by the restaurant staff was unprofessional. Cutlery was not provided when the dishes were served, and when it was eventually brought to the table, one fork was incorrectly arranged.

I went to London on Songkran Sunday. After visiting the temple i thought i go to eat something in a Thai restaurant. Thought first i order a soup and something to drink and than i will decide if i have a main or not. Have ordered Tom Kha Gai, as it is one of my favourite Thai soup. Had many times in other restaurants here but also had it when i visited around Thailand. I have received something what has nothing to do with Tom Kha Gai. Colour taste smell ingredients... nothing was right. It had a ton of rice in it, baby corn and some very low quality chicken junks. I was in a Video call with my Thai friend and she has asked me what it is as it is nothing like Tom Kha Gai. But taste was sour and horrible. It was the worst Thai restaurant i have ever tried. Do not recommend to anyone. At the end I told the waiter politely but he did not even care, so just paid and left.

Often times I have big dilemma is this reviewes matter or shall even be posted. However, in the end, I think they should be posted. Asian food supposed to be some of the best in the world. Full of flavors, colors, textures. Unfortunately this restaurant rather don't live up to this hype. Although I only tasted one dish, it gives me good indication how other dishes may be ... I think it's got 4.1☆ for a reason. I would never pop inside had i check the rating earlier - as they are good indication of what you may expect. Although they are exceptions, I would really advice never ever go to any place with rating below 4.6 - 4.8 This is no exception If you want proper food go elsewhere. If you mediocre as the 95% of this society go for the meal and you will love it.

I visited Busaba Westfield London recently and was very disappointed with the customer service, despite the food being good. As a student, I’m entitled to a 25% discount. However, while I stepped away to the restroom, my father paid the bill without knowing about the offer. When I came back and asked if the discount could be applied, the manager refused, saying the payment had already gone through. What shocked me more than the refusal was the manager’s arrogant attitude—he spoke in a condescending tone, telling us: “We don’t inform customers about our promotions. It’s your own responsibility.” I fully understand if there are rules about reissuing bills, but the lack of flexibility and rude attitude made the experience very unpleasant. This is not what I would expect from a restaurant brand like Busaba, which usually values good service and hospitality. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and I would appreciate some follow-up from the team to address this. **Tip to all students: Make sure to ask for the discount before paying—they won’t remind you, and they won’t help you afterward.

the worst “king prawn curry” I’ve ever had. The curry was a watery mess with zero flavor, and the prawns? Still in their shells—eyes, legs, and antennae staring back at me. It looked like they scooped them straight from the ocean and dumped them into this so-called curry. Completely disgusting. And they had the nerve to charge £18 for this? Absolute rip-off. I felt insulted. Avoid this place at all costs.

This is my 4th visit to this same branch and wasn't my greatest experience. One server was dealing with many orders and left us, as guests, alone too long once our order was taken. We ordered a starter and 2 mains. Though we asked to have them separately, they came together and barely fitted on the wobbly table by a different server. A starter and 3 mains came, one of which we sent back which wasn't ordered. The food wasn't to the standard I'd had on my previous visits with the 'Sticky rice' presented in a small 'microwave' type bag. The whole meal looked microwaved with many cold spots in the food. Wanted to complain but no one came back to ask how the meal was till we paid the bill. Maybe this was a bad experience, but ate what I could and left. Won't be returning. Not worth the £90 I paid

I went to have dinner here and I was welcomed in a very soft atmosphere. The food was delicious and Ainoa, the girl who took my order, was really nice and prompt. Definitely recommend 👍👍

Visited Busaba Westfield for the first time for a Sunday lunch, and we had a nice time. It was my friend’s birthday, and they had a birthday special, so we got a couple of glasses of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The restaurant is very spacious, and we sat in the enclosed garden, which had a nice atmosphere, though it was quite hot. Despite being busy, the service was relatively quick. However, the waiter could have been a bit friendlier. The food was good—I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and we shared the Som Tam salad. We asked for it to be less spicy, but it was still quite spicy for our taste. Portion sizes could have been a bit bigger, but the prices are reasonable for the area. Overall, a pleasant experience with good food and a lively atmosphere!

The starters and the main arrived at the same time. This shouldn't occur in this day and age. By the time we started the main it was luke warm to cold.

The food was pretty nice, although not the biggest portions. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice as it was warm both inside and outside. My curry was not at all spicy which was not expected (vegetarian curry). But affordable with student discount.

Food was ok, but the quality is not as great as when it first opened and there was a hair in my calamari which I exchanged for something else. The service, was disappointing. It took 20 minutes for them to bring the bill after we finished eating, and another 15 minutes to process the payment. I had to ask for both the bill and to pay. The food was ok apart from the above, we received a discount due to the food issues. Hope for better service and food next time.

Food was amazing, but the service really let down the evening. Had a larger table because of how many of us there were, but could see that the other section of small tables getting more attentive service. Also noticing staff standing behind the bar not really doing anything, and also having to ask for our table to be cleared. Would definitely return, just not to this venue.

Busaba serves delicious and authentic Thai food. I highly recommend the noodles, which have a rich and flavorful broth. Don’t miss the mango sticky rice—it’s the perfect sweet treat!

I recently tried another Thai restaurant in Andover, which wasn’t very good and made me fear for the quality of food. However, I was surprised at how lovely Busaba was! I had specific requirements as to what I wanted to try, and my waitress Bella suggested food that accommodated my likes and dislikes. The pad Thai and sweet potato fries were amazing, as was dessert. The service was great, you can tell the servers know what they’re doing.

I was misled by the reviews and thought it was good Thai food. In fact, it is probably not a restaurant run by Thais. The portion of red curry beef is very small, and it is in a thin soup. The size looks like a children's meal. Tom Yum soup is a joke, it doesn't taste like Tom Yum soup at all.

1st time here and poor experience. 3 staff is not enough to accommodate all tables. We waited long for one to take our orders we were about to leave, the lady begged us to stay and assured we will be next. Said they were understaffed. If so, don’t take any reservations for big group! Food is expensive and not too exquisite. A chinese store near serves better with a price better. Only paying for the dining area, i must say! And the restrooms, appalling! Never coming back.

Good music, good service and good food! The chocolate fondant was tasty and the coconut ice cream complemented it nicely. I also recommend the Pad Thai - I'd come again! Rahul was a wonderful server :)

Not impressed, asked for no chilli on my meal. 25 min later my dish arrived full of chillis. Another 25 min wait for a dish without it, and I found the meal still spicy and bland tasting. Not cheap either.

Always enjoyable eating at Busaba. The Calamari is a classic and worth coming here for by itself. Whilst the food is great, I would just say a few of the dishes aren’t quite as standout as they used to be. For example the Green Chicken Curry used to be the best, but they have changed the recipe and not for the better. Our server was a guy called Mark who was great and very attentive.
