Me encanta este pub comida cómoda adecuada muy buena selección en el menú podría comer aquí todas las noches durante un mes y no aburrirse con las ofertas, el personal se queda sin pies, pero absolutamente lo clavaron, el servicio brillante bien hecho a todos los interesados sin duda visitará aquí de nuevo cuando en la zona!

Mi esposa y yo llegamos después de haber estado pasando y decidimos llamar así que no hay reserva. El personal no podría haber sido más comprensivo, servicial o servicial. Sólo brillante. Nuestra comida era de primera clase. Incluso la salsa era perfecta. El precio también. -Muchas gracias. Sin duda volveremos por más.

Acabamos de mudarnos del sudeste, hace dos semanas. Nos encantan nuestros asados dominicales y visitamos por primera vez el fin de semana pasado y de nuevo esta noche. Reserva no es necesario pero siempre tan ocupado. La comida es excepcional! Tubería caliente, salsa espesa, Yorkshires caseros y un montón de verduras. Acabo de almorzar el domingo con mi esposa, la diferencia entre un pequeño picadillo y albóndigas y un estándar era mínimo por decir lo menos, no a favor de la comida más grande, dos comidas pequeñas separadas por una albóndiga de dos pulgadas y nada más, y la botella de cerveza de hierro wkd con una mejor fecha antes de octubre de 2023 iba a morir por posiblemente literalmente , 😳😳😳

Family Sunday lunch and everything was perfect. Great selection, I definitely recommend the Yorkshire puddings. We had starter and main, it’s a shame we were all too full for dessert

Food was delish - I havent been here for a while & decided to go with my friends for a catch up. The food was amazing & they have a GF menu. We had braised beef, thai chicken & shepherd pie. Plenty of veggies & sides. We will be back Im hoping for our next catch up I can try something else.

Went as we hadnt been for years so we were looking forward to it. After arriving and ordering we waited over an hour for the meals. The gammon and parmo my son and daughter ordered were ok. The vege lasagne my partner got was ok,but her chios were raw in the middle. My 10oz rump steak was ordered medium well,it was overcooked, dry and in places so chewy and tough it was inedible, mushrooms were greasy and my chips were a mixture of mushy and rock hard. Not the best meal,and certainly not worth the money paid. Dissapointed.

A family birthday meal , and it certainly didn’t disappoint. There were 8 of us , 5 adults 2 children and a baby . We had starters mains and sweets , all different , yet the food was great, all served by excellent staff ....

Always loved the Burtree but because of covid we can't visit, so thought we would try their takeaway service. Ordered via Uber eats, arrived on time & hot & just as lovely as always. We are now stuffed & happy. 😃

always eat this at this place and love it. Its my favorite thing on the menu, had kicking chicken fir starter which filled a gap, extremely tasty and made me feel good inside get yourself down to the burtree inn

Been here 3 times since it re opened after the lock down, it is very well run. Service is very good and efficient. The food is very good always of good standard, never had a bad meal yet and we have been going for years. It is consistent every time, staff are friendly and helpful.

Visited last week with my Dad and my seven year old Son for my Dads Birthday and also visited the previous week with my boyfriend. Good menu choice. Meals were delicious and served within an acceptable time frame. Staff were all polite and friendly. Managed to find a car park space onsite. Everywhere looked clean and well maintained.

Brilliant service with generous portions Alcohol a little pricey but food is reflective of that. £5.50 for pint of Peroni!

During the unusual circumstances we are experiencing The Burtree are offering a takeaway service. Order on line pay, select your pick up time all done. You receive confirmation of order. Pick up well organized. Arrive at pick up point oder number taken food delivered and put into the boot. Food well packed and as delicious as ever. Well done Burtree.

We always enjoy the meals at The Burtree as they are home cooked and value for money.on Monday 16th March we had lightly battered haddock with mushy peas and chips and chicken Maryland. The haddock was the best fish I've tasted and the whole meal was delicious. My husband always enjoys his chicken maryland

Visited here with a group of friends. The food was nice, nothing special really but the staff behind the bar let the place down. They were rude and generally miserable in their interactions with customers. Maybe try smiling and saying thanks because after all, the customers pay your wages!!

Very busy Saturday evening, pre-booked table, the staff where excellent and the variety of choices are enough for anyone, the portions large and very tasty, i had the liver and it was superb, desert very good also.

Haven't been for many years, but took a friend for her birthday. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was excellent, plenty to choose from, good size portions and extremely tasty. Won't hesitate to return.

Tasty food with a fantastic accommodating service for myself as a vegan; the man who served us explained to me my options as a vegan which gave me multiple choices! The food was great. We've eaten multiple times to the Burtree Inn and will continue in future.

As always the food, staff and general atmospere of the restaurant was excellent - not much more to say other than there is great choice of 'interesting' meals .I have visited this restaurant many times over many years and have never had a less than excellent meal - I would highly recommend it as a 'medium' cost venue which provides really high quality food at very reasonable prices

Lovely venue food was delicious party of 13 all served by friendly staff. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer birthday meal. Very comfortable surroundings clean toilets and access for disabled. Plenty outside parking .

Our girls Christmas night at our favourite pub. Meal beautiful, service very good always a personal welcome from Andy. The place to go for a great night out in a good atmosphere, lovely food, served by pleasant staff.

We often go here and have done for years, food is always really nice. The service is fairly quick and food comes out fairy fast too! Staff are nice and friendly never had a bad experience at all. Only thing that ever puts me off is the parking sometimes its very tight. If you want a decent meal, reasonable in price and nice sized portions I would ignore the bad reviews and try it yourself! Just because some don't like it doesn't mean you won't:D

Recently visited for a family meal, the staff are great, the food is not amazing but the portions are huge, to be honest they should make the portions and menu choice smaller and concentrate on making the food a little better, don’t get me wrong we enjoyed ourselves but nobody finished there meal because they were to big, and we all left feeling like anacondas who had eaten a small child in the jungle which is beyond enjoyment and becomes uncomfortable, if you want a cheap massive meal and like smash instead of mash then this is the place for you! But to be honest the money we spent we could of gone somewhere a bit nicer in the town

I was part of a large booking (10 people) for a family event. The staff were attentive and welcoming and the food was excellent. There were no issues with any individual meals, nothing missed and no mistakes. Adults and children alike had a great time.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago as we’d been bought some vouchers as a gift. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy the Saturday night we visited. Food is ordered at bar and then delivered to table so no personal touch with waiting staff and as such can’t comment on service. Had the stroganoff which was quite bland. The surroundings are ok, we were seated in window opposite bar, this seems to be a fast turnover place but not somewhere you’d want to stay for long after eating.

We have visited the Burtree inn on many occasions which have always been lovely even a traditional place for family birthdays. However on my recent visit to Burtree inn, we were greeted awfully and told by the very rude waitress that she was going to make us wait for food as we had brought one extra person along, when it was not even busy. She complained saying they were far to busy to deal with it even rolling her eyes at us. We were then seated and served and she proceeded to speak rudely to us as a table and glaring over. I would have always previously recommended the place however after last night I am quite annoyed with the service we received.

I'm not sure why the rave reviews. We've been to the Burtree quite a few times and their food is bland, underseasoned, and just tasteless. As with all pubs, you order at the bar/counter and they deliver it to the table. So, I can't really comment on the service. Decor is traditional. A lot of the tables have four legs which makes it difficult to sit comfortably without straddling the legs. All in all, it's just 'okay'.

my family and I have enjoyed the BURTREE INN for 30 years now. The food is delicious,the family owned business do their best to suit all tastes. Its friendly warm andvery comgortable. Its a real pleasure and my fave!

I love the Burtree. The best little pub/restaurant around. Their food is amazing, never any issues from me or anyone I know. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The older waitress does need to be more smiley though, it was like a chore having to serve us.

Our girls night out once again warm welcome, attentive staff. Three different meals all clean plates, desserts beautifully presented and delicious finished with a hot cup of coffee. Food value is terrific for the quality you receive.

5 school friends from 55 years ago and we met up at the burtree for lunch. We all had different meals but each one of them was absolutely delightful. Bar staff and waiting staff were really pleasant, meals were exceptional value for money.and a great choice off the menu. Can definitely recommend the burtree inn.

We were having a two night break in the area and the hotel food wasn’t up to much so we decided to find somewhere better. What a great choice. Pleasant staff give a warm welcome and a table was quickly found for us even though the pub was busy. The food was really good, quite exceptional for a pub. My prawns were delicious and I was delighted to see liver on the menu. You don’t see it very often these days and it was absolutely gorgeous with lovely mash and a jus like gravy. They even turn something as simple as garlic bread into a delicious treat with beautifully melted cheese covering the bread. My wife really enjoyed her fish and chips, really well cooked. The management should be really proud of what they are achieving and we’ll definitely come again next time we’re in the area.

My husband and I and our grandchildren visited today. A few years since we have been and pleased that the standard has not dropped. Thai chicken and the scampi were lovely. Kids both had steak pie and gave it the thumbs up.

Myself and my family have visited here over many years and this was a surprise meal for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. From dropping the cake off on the morning to the actual event all staff we so friendly And helpful. We were placed in a spacious room enough for 25 of us. Andy the landlord was amazing did everything he could to make our night run as smoothly as it did. The food was delightful and the whole party enjoyed all the meals, all food was hot and plenty of it. Overall great customer service, great bar staff, great landlord, a must visit for people who haven't been.

I love this place. All the family booked for a birthday meal, there was quite a few of us and everyone enjoyed it, one had a mixed grill which was massive and very nice according to him, the shepherds pie is spot on too, one family member always gets the burtree chicken and can never fault it.

Service is first class and very fast. Food is very good and excellent value for money dined in both one of the private rooms (part of a group booking) and as a family in the main bar. Particularly like the choice of portion size.

Visited this pub twice last week for a spot of lunch. Both occasions we were not disappointed. Burgers are to die for. Second visit I opted a "belly buster' roast beef lunch. Well worth it! Will definitely be back in near future.

We have been going to the Burtree for years. We generally have a great meal. The food is good, I do prefer the way the chips were cooked years ago when I first started visiting this pub, but they are okay and far from oven chips. The menu is vast and the staff are always friendly and try to be accommodating despite it often being busy. The portion sizes are huge and husband likes a starter so I often get a smaller plate main meal.

Had a lovely meal at the burtree this week. Great value and great service. Steak was perfectly cooked and good portion sizes. Will definitely return soon

Well to be honest I have never had a good meal at Burtree, but from reading the reviews about the Sunday lunch and how good they were we thought we would give it a try, OMG tasteless, probaby the worst Sunday lunch I have ever had. The beef seemed like the pre sliced beef, not nice at all. Wont be going again. Oh and the wine...........no comment other than stick to water.

Called in on a Sunday a few weeks back and it was spot on yet again. I have never had a average meal in here never mind a bad one.

The food and staff were excellent I would recommend the burtree to anyone I've been going for years and yesterday my family organised a surprise birthday for me I really enjoyed it, thankyou for the free drinks it was much appreciated I will definitely be back soon

Thanks to everyone at Burtree, went for food this evening which was very good... I have a nut allergy and soya so can be a nightmare to cater for... Andy the manager personally went to talk to the chefs and then came back to check the order with me and explain on what I could eat, he then took the order to the kitchen so it was well looked after... ps I’m still here so all in all a very pleasant evening.

Visited last night for a last minute tea ! Mum was pleased when we got there as it was half 5 and they were still serving Sunday dinner ! 5 adults and 1 child starters and mains and we didn’t have one complaint was lovely ! One starter was fish cakes and were very mash potato maybe could have been a bit more fish in there but wouldn’t stop us returning just wouldn’t order them again!

Staff were friendly but tap water was cloudy, glasses weren’t dry, and the nut roast we were served was burned halfway down. Sunday ruined. Cheers.

Gorgeous food for 12 friends. I enjoyed the Burtree Chicken forgot how tasty the meals are. Decor us lovely and ckean toilets are very posh. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Plenty of car parking.

Visited for lunch and were not disappointed. Excellent as ever and the pork medallions in chilli sauce are the best I have ever had. Steak pie eaten by another family member was also excellent as well. All other meals great. Will be back

A group of 21 for lunch food pre-ordered. We were accommodated in a small side room to ourselves which was great. Food served quickly and well presented. Staff as always pleasant, friendly and attentive. Food and service second to none. Everyone in the good enjoyed the food and experience of Butter Inn. Well done Andy and staff.

Superb food. Good service. Can not fault this place. Had not been for ages but it was still good although I did think the veg was a tad overdone for my taste.

Had a group meal on Friday November 30th which was per ordered served perfectly service with a smile and joke. Food was up to the high standard you expect from this establishment. Back four days later with friends for Christmas Evening Meal. Table set beautiful with crackers and Christmas confetti, once again pre ordered food. Food and service spot on food was amazing all three course's. Great food at great price good value.

Prob our best pub in darlington for good honest food . Great prices . Even better on a monday as it is buy one get one free . The home of the darlington parmo 5 stars . Kids got ice cream with there meal also

First class service. Was here at the weekend and had a beautiful meal with my family. The staff were very accommodating, I had the steak pie again and would come back over and over. The crust was Devine, Jill the head waitress was very accommodating. Thanks again guys

Arrived about 1pm, a few table were busy, but there were still plenty tables. 2 adults and 2 preteens. I ordered the steak pie with vege and chips, friend ordered the beef stroganoff, and the preteens ordered small plate gammon with chips n beans. Food was fresh, portions were generous and service was fab. We didn’t manage to finish our meals, the portions were so generous. Steak pie was full of steak and I mean full, there was loads of beef in the stroganoff, which came with rice and homemade chips. Vege was very fresh and the chips were hand cut and very fresh. The gammon was a very good size considering we ordered small plates. Atmosphere was calm and friendly with a relaxed feel. Was a loveley place for lunch with a very good menu choice. Would definitely visit again.

Booked a table for three people, told 12 noon available. Was NOT told the doors wouldn’t be open until 12 noon.

I have been visitingthis family run pub for dinner for more than 25 years and we have never had a bad meal which is the best recommendation I can give. The meals are generous but smaller portions are available, it is not fast food and sometimes when busy there can be a little wait but worth waiting for. The service is friendly and this atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Every time we’ve popped in here we’ve always managed to get a table, however it does get quite busy at peak times.

Rang and was told there was a table available even though it was a busy bank hol weekend. However parking not good. Had to park outside the car park on the grass as no spaces left at 12.10 lunch time.

I've have been here a few times for dinner and its one our my favourite venues to catch up with friends for lunch. Normally the portions are HUGE so its nice to see you can order smaller portions which are still quite adequate for lunchtimes. Everything is nicely cooked and we have never had any problems with service. It is more expensive that average but to be honest you pay for what you get. It's the place I would take someone knowing I would get the same standard time and time again

What a brilliant night we had for my partners 60th. The food was gorgeous and Andi, Jill and the girls made our night.

Was a regular, but not been for a while. Love pub food and they still do that, with 'extra', either more choice or amazing sauces. Went for the king prawn chicken, was faultless. Service swift and friendly as always. Prices very reasonable.

We have eaten at the Burtree on and off for the past 15 years, and the food and service is consistently excellent. Out recent visit was a special occasion and the owner made sure we all enjoyed the celebrations. Thank you to all the staff.

We visited the burtree for lunch out as a family. We ordered our food and it came quite quick. However, my auntie ordered lasagne which looked horrendous when it came. Very sloppy. When she tried it she said it tasted sour. I complained to the staff member who took the dish back into the chef. A lady who I can only assume to be the manager followed her into the kitchen. I heard them talking in the kitchen and heard her say ‘is it actually off’. At this point my auntie was outside being sick. The manager came out and quite rudely assumed that it was full of garlic and had 3 types of cheeses so must be my aunties taste that doesn’t like it. At this point my auntie was outside being physically sick. He manager asked where she was and we said she was outside so she went straight outside and saw my auntie being sick and gave her the money back. Absolutely disgusted with the attitude that I received from the ‘manager’ and the fact my auntie was ill all night. Will not be returning any time soon.

We decided to call in on Sunday for our lunch on the way back from Darlington big mistake. It was the worst Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. We ordered the small lunch as we are not big eaters which was a good job as it was smaller than we thought. The yorkshire pudding was really tough we were lucky if we had a table spoon of each veg and the meat was supposed to be roast beef. It definitely wasn't cut from a joint it looked like packet meat to us the way it was served on the plate and the colour was very light not like proper beef. Will definitively not be returning on a Sunday no more. Wish I had taken a photo now

Food excellent had lamb 2 ways would have preferred lambs chops to be pink but lovely fresh veg and tiny roasties. service was ok. Wasn't too busy so got a table straight away

They serve good home cooked food not microwave rubbish. They also serve meals in a standard size (which I think is huge)& smaller meals which are a sufficient size as you probably want a desert too

Son and daughter coming back home for the bank holiday we booked fairly late notice for a table of six and pleased we went . This has long been a family favourite and we have never been disappointed including this occasion. The place runs very smoothly and Andy and his lovely wife are always unflappable and professional in the way they manage the whole operation. Prawn cocktail starter and belly pork with black pudding for me and a lovely selection of mains and starters for the rest of our party were well executed and well served , tasty and elegantly assembled . Three puddings were quickly devoured and I can definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding . Coffee also very good and dulcis in fundo when it came to the bill we found that on a Monday it is two for one on most mains . Happy days . WHAT MORE CAN WE DEMAND ?
