A great place for fish and chips and shish/kebabs Large cod and chips is enough for 2 if not 3 people :)

The fake reviews are getting worse for this place, so many people first and last thoughts of anywhere are this place. Come on think about it. As for the food, it's really poor, once they were queuing out the door and now they are walking straight past it. No longer freshly made chips, these are cooked from frozen and the same for the fish. But wait for it, all the food is basic low grade catering stock. This place would have 1 star if it was not for the fake reviews. Can you still get real fish and chips in Enfield? I very much doubt it.

Amazing service and the food we had was so tasty. We sat in and had some fish and chips which was perfectly cooked. We also ordered some kebab. The shish was cooked to perfection and we really enjoyed our food. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We was overwhelmed and would definitely go back. Highly recommended

This *new Burlingtons is far fetched from the *old Burlingtons let me tell you!! The old Burlingtons was a traditional fish n chip shop from long ago.. changed hands a few times until the grumpy manger sold it to these new lot who have changed the name around!! New Burlingtons are now the most delicious and contemporary crossover between traditional English fish n chip shop/Mediterranean Kebab shop in North London. It works! I’ve never seen a more successful cross over between English and Mediterranean dinner in my life!! I can recommend the chicken doner + Chunky chips all day long..!! Happy ordering!! Service 11/10

Best fish & chips we’ve had for a long time! We had a delivery. The fish was perfectly cooked, the batter was amazing; light & crispy and the chips… finally proper chip shop chips! Fat, fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside and not a soggy one in sight. The onion rings were delicious too and the best part was it was all still hot when it got to us! We’ll be ordering from here again!

Amazing amazing amazing! The new owners have produced the best ever batter and fish I’ve ever had! The medium cod was so generous as were the chips and the mushy peas winners!! Keep up the work guys…..even though I live in Sydney, I’ll be back :)

The guys serving are always very friendly. My fiance and I ordered some food but they forgot our gherkins, we didn't really mind and didn't want to make a fuss because we like it there. A few weeks later my fiance was walking passed and one of the guys called her in and gave her our gherkins! He said he remembered he'd forgot it and it had been in his mind! We both thought that was so kind! You can't put a price on good service people!

Absolutely love Burlington Fish and Chips and Kebab! Hands down the best spot in Enfield Town. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the portions are always generous. Whether it's fish and chips or a delicious kebab, you won't be disappointed. We hghly recommend it

Unfortunately it was poor. We ordered fish and Chips for 3 people and got plenty of chips which were okay, although a bit undercooked. The fish had a foul taste and smell, to the point we suspected it was out of date. None of us ate more than a couple of mouthfuls before we put it in the bin. I won’t go back which is a shame because it is close by but I wouldn’t risk it again.

Great meal I ever had in Enfield from this restaurant, it has 5 minutes of delivery available on time. Nice service and great respect from the chefs

I had the fish and chips on Friday it was like the old days big fat chips the fish was fluffy and white packed out and thin crispy outer 10/10. I highly recommend this place honestly

I’m Pregnant and was craving a combo chicken shish & Kofte and my hubby had mix Doner meat and chips .I was very sceptical as the old owners food and service was unhygienic.Let me tell you as a pregnant women I called and ask for the food to be fresh and it was delicious I have not had a well cooked chicken shish so tender and kofte did not repeat on me amazing flavours .My hubby’s Doner & chips very fresh and they were not stingy with the meat great portion amazing service quick delivery worth every penny 100 percent there new owners this food was made with passion .

Another thing gone, the old restaurant was a great place to go with freshly made fish and real chips. Now this place has changed hands it's just cooked from frozen. Best to avoid.

Food. Disgusting taste like oil and bland Service. Slow about 35 minutes for 1 medium chips and 2 large so-called cod it’s haddock side it’s cod then he arks me to pay for my food when my wife already paid and telling me to pay again Make sure you check your order before you leave Atmosphere. Only 1 customer waiting for they order and me and still waiting about 35 minutes 6 members of staff Wouldn’t even give you 1 star ⭐️

Newly reopened, now less traditional fish and chips bar, more choice, including kebabs, wraps, burgers and all the usual chip shop favourites. Been in twice now, it's been opened less than a week, so the guys are still finding their feet, but they are very attentive and food fresh and delicious. Give it a go. Good luck in your new venture.

Ordered on Just Eat. Missing items. Food I got was cold. Phoned up to sort it out. Very very rude man on the end of phone . I will not be using again.... Very upset and disappointed. Can't get through to Just Eat either so very disappointed in them too.........

over priced food for bad quality, chips were stale and had a weird colour and they had only just opened? curry sauce was runny and tasteless- sausages had no taste and were crusty- just avoid not worth any money!!!

Stale chips and a saveloy that was worse that dog food. Avoid and head to another local chippie instead. Chips were old and clearly cooked from early that day or the night before. £6 for saveloy and chips. what a joke - dont mind paying a bit extra but really awful quality as well!

East End style pie and mash. I’ve been eating pie and mash at Manze’s for over 65 years but thought I’d try Burlington’s. It was not very good and really expensive.

Ok, not a huge selection but always hot and tasty. The green salad is great.

Stale chips, not chunky and fresh, shrivelled and dry. Seems like they had been left in the fryer for ages

Unfortunately feel that Burlington’s has lost its sparkle. Not sure if it’s run by different people now. To make it more authentic the salad needs to be ditched. Chips need to be darker they were very anaemic as my husband said. Fish inside the batter tasted as though it was a thawed frozen not fresh. This is definitely not the best fish & chips in Enfield. The service was friendly. We did eat everything as we were so hungry.

Always good, sometimes having to wait a few minutes means freshly fried chips! The chicken is a great alternative to the fish both equally delicious.

One of the best places for fish and chips. Fish fried to perfection or grilled if you prefer. I always have cod here. Top quality fish.

Very average food, awful service. For some reason they served salad with chips, traditionally not associated with chipies. Also sold no pickled onions or kerkins or bead and butter which are very much part of chip shop culture. In general a surreal experience in what is supposed to be a good chipie.

Service was quick and the food portion was HUGE which was a nice surprise 😮 I will definitely be visiting here again!

My family and I were looking forward to our Fish and Chips, but it turned out horrible. We have had our fish and chips from there so many times, more than I can count and it always turned out ok, if not lovely, but this time it was horrible. My father went to get the food: 4 cod, 2 medium chips. The fish was the worst of the meal, it was not fresh . The Chips were a little bit brown and quite undercooked. That night I and my mother had really bad wind and we both would not stop pooing, we had foodPoisoning. recommend not to go to this restaurant-takaway.

We were really looking forward to our Saturday night takeaway and we live locally. Unfortunately the 4 fish we ordered were off and had a funny taste and smell to them. Since last night my doughther and I been suffering from upset stomach and extremely bad wind that's unberable. Quite upset about this as food poisoning is not what anyone wants to pay almost £40.00 for! And want to mention chips were hard and undercooked. Avoid this place at all cost!

They forgot my chips. When I called them back they said it would come. 1 hour later I calles them back for them to say they didn't have my house number then they blamed uber. The girl on phone was so rude and offered no refund. Forget this place

This was the first time we tried this place out and we was not disappointed. Much better then the others that are more closer to us. Will be deffo be getting fish n chips from Burlingtons again.

One star for a very unwelcoming place, unfriendly staff especially the waitress. I appreciate English is not your first language but a SMILE is worldwide, carry on like this and you will lose many customers for the owner. Shame, because the fish and chips are good and worthy of a 5 star - I will not visit again.

Ordered takeaway through Just Eat. Food arrived and the large portion of chips we ordered was in fact small. The reason given is that if wrapped In paper they would go soggy so they are in a box and they can’t get a large portion in!! Happy to charge £3.20 though!! Spoke to the owner who simply couldn’t have cared less and so we will never buy from there again, absolute rip off!!

Ordered by phone asking for well done large chips and two large god. Chips under cooked large god over cooked batter was all most dark brown I don't know if they understood the phone message or what. Will not come back.very disappointing. Used to be a well known fish restaurant

Went in this evening at 10.15 pm so a little late and asked for haddock, was told none was ready but the cod was, big mistake. My piece of cod must have been sitting there for a while, other fish and chip shops would have thrown it out. I got home and attempted to eat it, greasy, tasteless and the batter was soft and almost wet on top and dry and hard on the bottom. I’m So many better fish and chip shops locally, will not eat there again, rather go without or just stick to chips which were reasonable (hence 2 stars not 1)

Delicious fish and chips - simple straightforward menu - friendly service

A PROPER CHIPPIE Burlington a traditional fish and chip shop. Having said check out the special's board as the dishes there are also exquisite. I go there quite regularly and it is just a nostalgic experience each time. It reasonably priced and can be a great "plaice" for casual dining or romantic meal.

Had a meal there earlier with my mates. Cod, chips and salad. Very happy with the portion served and the quality of the food was perfect. Was very comfortable in the air-conditioned room at the back and the waitress was very polite. Keep up the good work guys. Will be going there again for sure.

We ordered on 16/11/19 2 chips, 1 large fish, fish goujons, curry sauce and gravy. All food was nice BUT we arrived home to find two very small pieces of fish, no goujons no large fish. We were charged £21 for the privledge! So disappointing. Won't be ordering again in a hurry.

Really fresh and tasty and a great price.

Been to Burlingtons twice now and eaten in. They serve good size portions... freshly cooked with salad... the pie and mash is very nice... we will pop in again when we are in the area.

Poor service sat in waited 20 minutes for 1 fish and chips and then the chips were undercooked.

I have to eat gluten free and phoned to ask what the restaurant could make me that would be gluten free. The Waitress who answered the phone didn’t seem to understand although she said she knew what gluten free was. She spoke heavily accented English. She paused and then told me “it’s vegetable oil” not helpful to me as any oil is gluten free unless previously contaminated with gluten. She then asked her “cooker” who passed on the helpful reply “no it isn’t gluten free” what isn’t? Everything? I asked if they can grill fish? Yes. Well is that gluten free ( one would assume so ) She replied “ what can I do? if the cooker says it’s not gluten free. I asked if the chips were fried in separate oil to the battered fish ... answer “it’s vegetable oil” I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, no only me the waitress and the cooker. I asked if there was EVER anyone who knew more that I could speak to, yes my boss after 5.00pm. Well it would have been helpful to have started with that. The staff seem clueless. I won’t be going although in the past I have been and eaten there but staff seemed to know what they were talking about then. The service seems inadequate so I don’t have confidence that they could feed me safely . I’m not going, as this is probably the least helpful place I have ever called.

The fish is great ...large portions really well cooked. Chips were shocking , cooked once and not for long enough. I left loads on the plate and I never ,ever leave chips.
