Burgeritzza - Aldershot in Rushmoor

What a night, Lissie and Jessie were amazing. From the set up of the bar, to helping me get ready for our guest, was rushing around preparing/putting food out, to the amazing cocktails and service. Will definitely be using them again.

We’ve been here several times over the past few years, and their Christmas Lunch lived up to expectations. An Amuse Bouche of a small cup of tomato soup was followed by a roasted brie with diced vegetables starter, just the right size for us, not too large, and very tasty. The main course was turkey, beautifully produced with vegetables and potato in a conical presentation. Dessert, coffee, and petit fours (tiny mince pies) completed a real meal event. Service, as well as the cooking, was by students, several of whom had only started in September 2024. Some nervousness of course, but that is to be expected. We’ll be back.

Food arrived on time but was cold and chicken substituted for (see picture as not even sure what it is??!)Called to re order but lady hung up on me - called back 6 times and now going straight to voicemail- will not be spending over the odds on what used to be decent food again!

I tried it when I saw the score of 4.9, but the food was not in proportion to the score. The soup didn't taste like beef bones, the beef was a little too shoey, and the Vietnamese noodles lacked spices. I would have rated it around 4.3, but I didn't think it would be better if I saw a score of 4.9.

I loved my stay here. Chess is an amazing cook, and I much preferred to eat here than forage out on the town. Would tell anyone traveling on business or with a loved one that your money is well spent here. The Goat in the Garden bar is so friendly too, so you can have a drink later and go right back to your room.
