Delicious food, massive burgers! Lovely staff too, very attentive. Milkshakes here are amazing!

I came here on Friday just gone. I think i was actually the first customer of the day as i came for the lunch deal and there was no one else in the restaurant 😅 Service was really friendly and quick (ofc it was just me at the start) I had the Prairie girl but with beef and the meat was cooked to perfection! Fries were good too. Portion size even for the lunch deal is great! Overall very tasty! P. S- I dare say my waiter was pretty cute also 🤗 I think i last came about a year ago and i think it has improved but then it may be because it was so quiet. Previously it was very busy and i don't think the food was as high a standard. I try to stay clear of the 'smash' patties as i think they're abit of a rip off and they don't fill me up. I would definitely come again for the lunch deal! I'm not earning much atm so the prices are abit out of my price range.

Great food, great people, good place. They make their own sauces too, which I appreciate. Portions were good. Could say pricey but then again supporting local is what matters there.

We stayed 3 days in Bristol with my sister and we came to eat at Burger Theory twice, it was so good!! I hope that one day you will open restaurants in France, I will be your best customer 🫶🏻

Me and my partner came here today and well the food was amazing with several options to choose from cooked to perfection, the service was great they were able to accomodate us when we came in with a voucher and were happy to have us!! The atmosphere was quirky with a relaxing feel would highly reccommend!!

Had a meal with family and friends for my son's 18th, he would happily live on burgers so led by his preferences but noone was disappointed. Food was really tasty, service by Cameron was great. We all had a lovely evening and left with very full happy bellies.

First time at Burger Theory. The experience is fantastic. Burgers are delicious, as were the wings (which, usually, I never get). Service was excellent from every member of staff I interacted with, especially the manager Jake who I believe took my order. Professional, pleasant, well-dressed, a gem of a person to have on the team. Can't wait to come back! Forgot to take pictures of the food cause by the time I thought about it, I was halfway through.

Having ordered from this place, the two words I can use to describe it as is overpriced and disgusting. The food tasted so foul that we had to throw our burgers away, for the prices that they make you pay I would highly recommend going to anywhere else than here.

Decent meal here, the OG burger and the poutine fries stood out the most but the cocktail milkshake was also really good. The service was friendly and efficient, overall it's a good place for a burger.

Disappointingly average. We entered with high expectations but it was just your average burger. Chips were ridiculously salty and the burger over done. To top it off there’s a 12.5% service charge. It wasn’t horrendous but there’s far better.

Been here a few times now. Always top nosh. I don't normally go for a chicken burger ( normally stick to beef) but some of the fried chicken burgers I've had here are the best I've ever had anywhere.

My first visit and what an experience, met on entering by the very attentive Shaline,sorry if I've spelt it wrongly,she was amazing on point all the time and made an unreal milk shake,a proper milk shake,and the burger were to die for,absolutely 1st class service and food,highly recommended, a kind word for Jake the manager who was very knowledgeable

What a fantastic place. Great choice of drinks and the burger menu is amazing. Service was great and good service. I just had a burger and a pint, but the group had different and the consistency was spot on.

I don’t know. I really used to rate it, but it feels like it’s gone downhill. Used to be pretty good value, but with the £££ price and the 12.5% service charge, I was slightly shocked when the bill arrived. Also the cheese sauce on the chicken burger tasted pretty rough. Blue cheese on a burger, I can take, but I will never want to eat that sauce again.

Quality seems to have dropped since our previous visit. Burgers lacked seasoning & didn't taste very fresh. Staff were friendly & food came out quickly. We ordered two burgers and they were amazing so we wanted to try some of their fries. However, we were told that he is busy. We waited for 5minutes for him to take our second order which wasn’t long wait but we weren’t allowed to add anything more. A little bit disappointed because the food was so nice and we loved the playlist they played.

A must do when in Bristol! The whole concept is very well thought out. The burgers perfectly matched with meat, sauce and ingredients. The fries are sensationally crispy. I ordered another margarita. Also very fine, although special in taste. Let's go! Enjoys it!

Wow. That's a summary of my experience at this restaurant. Very clean, good customer service, polite staff, service /preparation time not too long with the staff coming to ask if we are OK and explain what was going on and how long it will take. Asked if we were OK with our order and if we wanted any other thing. Even when I asked if I could take a picture of the bar as I like it they said no problem. Definitely worth going there. Had the The simple things and The sheriff burger (as I went with a friend ) and all together plus two ciders £43 in total plus service charge. Which isn't bad as the burger was something different from the regular burger king and mac Donald. They even had a burger with kimchi in it. Can't wait to try it next time I go.

Very unfriendly, rude manager when I had asked politely to add more vegan options to the menu or at least add that they did vegan options, at Noisily festival. Felt like they were very anti-vegan and his response was "we've got a business to run". You can still make good business by selling more sustainable and cruelty free products and let people make the choice, but the guy was extremely rude, and felt very entitled.

Tasty vegetarian burger. Staff is very friendly. I wish Amsterdam had a place like this one...

A tad overpriced, the food was decent with the blue cheese on the wings being lovely. It was relatively quick coming out,however my friends food did not come out at the same time and was left waiting for an extra 10 minutes or so. Additionally note that there is an optional 10% Service charge added.

Been meaning to come here since it opened and it didn't disappoint. Really great smash burgers, tasted great. The meat on the kimchi fries was also excellent - tasted like proper shredded steak. Not the cheapest for burgers but really tasty.

Used to be a big fan but the last few times I've been the burgers have been rubbish so I doubt I'll be back. They used to taste really fresh and lively but now feel like a frozen burger thats been overcooked to high hell. It's great that they can make everything vegan and the staff are always pleasant but sadly the burgers just aren't up to scratch anymore and when paying £12-£17 for a burger (with no fries), and all they do is burgers, I'd expect the burgers to be a better standard. Shame that it's gone downhill, don't know if it's been bought out or changed ownership or something (used to have a nice selection of craft beers too but now just bog standard lager and cider that you can get in wetherspoons).

I have been here multiple times, excellent food and amazing service. Have been there with family, friends and business groups. Get the wings, enjoy the burgers. Great veggie, dairy and gluten-free options. Can be very busy, and rightly so, make sure you book if you are a bigger group. Excellent place, will be back for sure.

Sorry sorry burger ‘experience’. Crispy chicken burger was certainly crispy but seemed to have forgotten the chicken. Chips were somewhat cold and unappetising. Service was slow to non-existent. All in all a pretty poor experience; won’t be going back…

Four of us enjoyed a really trashy birthday meal together. Fantastic burgers which can be meaty, vegetarian or vegan. Lots of varieties of loaded fries. Friendly service, efficient. It’s all good here! One of the best burger restaurants in Bristol and that seems to be a hot competition!

Amazing place! Burgers are super tasty, and the service was very nice. They have even homemade sauces, that you can buy for a decent price. A minor suggestion? A bit more of salt on the fries. I would go back on my next trip in Bristol!

The burgers and loaded fries we had were divine. We had the royal mint lamb burger and blue cow burger (blue cheese) with the kimchi loaded fries. Couldn't faulty anything.

Paid £52 for a takeaway. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 chips and halloumi fries. Not a huge or difficult order by any means, yet somehow half was missing. The one burger and chips that did arrive was cold and the chips had been fried within an inch of their life. Very disappointing for such an extortionate price.

The burgers are really delicious. They have a good variety on the menu and options different to a lot of burger places I've tried with great flavour combinations. However, even with all this considered the food is massively over priced for what it is. We had 3 burgers, 2 chips and 3 pints between three of us and the bill came to just short of £100. Some burgers were close to £20 each and you have to buy chips separately. Additionally, they add a service charge on to the bill despite the service literally being the bare minimum i.e. bringing us menus, asking what drinks we would like (which actually took quite a while to come out) and then bringing us our food - The woman was nice, but she was literally just doing her job. Of course, I like the option to tip when the server has gone above and beyond, but this was bog standard restaurant service for very expensive burgers.

The weekday lunch deal is well priced. There were plenty of burger options. Took a while to be sat and for our food to be delivered considering they weren’t that busy. Would come back if I was in the area

The Mac 10 burger tastes decent and the small fries portion is actually quite sufficient. The chicken tenders were overcooked and I didn't like how they were covered in actual honey, a honey based sauce would be better. It's not quite worth the price right now.

Arrived to a great atmosphere inside the place and was seated quickly, big choice of drinks and the selection of burgers was plentiful. Went for the sheriff which was outstanding and the house ketchup was so good I bought a bottle to take home!! Great all round experience only took a bit longer to pay at the end because they were so busy but enjoyed the meal out!

Ordered on uber eats. Burger described as only having ketchup but arrived with no ketchup and absolutely covered in mayo making it inedible for me. Got it fully refunded but please accurately describe your menu items rather than falsely advertising what's in the burger. Cannot recommend anywhere that cannot accurately describe what they put in their food.

Updated 17/04/23 -Order took over an hour, turns out they lost it! Although no one thought to check even after we were questioning other tables orders arriving around us. Burger has shrunk dramatically in size, but still tasted good. Not great value anymore. Check out Fattso instead. 2021: What a burger! Tasty and huge!Takeaway order took ages, but in the end it was worth the wait.

The restaurant has an attractive unique appearence. The most successful element of the service offer was the excellent front of house and the provenance of the locally sourced food. Less successful was the actual delivery, pricing and quality of the food offer. The beef patty was small (almost transparent ) and served cold which is difficult to understand given that it was start of service *. Pricing was also on the high side. 8.99 for a 3 oz single patty bun without any complimentary sides. The Halloumi fries were flavoursome but at 7.99, priced almost as much as a main. Unfortunately, despite the excellent front of house there is not enough in the food offer for us to want to return. (* a £2.50 deduction was applied following feedback)

We came here for my partner's birthday, we turned up a little early but were seated straight away with a smile. We were told about the special deals straight away, which is nice because it means saving pennies is not a secret! The food arrived in good time, all together, and when I say I couldn't fault anything I am not exaggerating! I had the sheriff, and added pickles, the burger itself was well seasoned juicy and meaty. Be aware they come medium done, but that's what I like so no arguments here! The onion rings inside was delicious too. The bun was not soggy and held together well too. My partner had another BBQ burger but I'm not sure the name,it came with pulled beef, and I nabbed a bit of his burger to try, it was very meaty and just as delicious as mine. We ordered the halloumi, which was perfectly cooked, a good portion for multiple people and the dressing was spot on, I think my partner would have happily eaten a bowl of it. The kimchi fries, I could have I just had a huge bowl of those, the chips were still crunchy flavours complimented eachother and it was presented very nicely. We also had some jalapeno and blue cheese coleslaw, this I ate by the spoonful too! I finished up with a biscoff shake, which whilst I was very full I had to find room to try, I'm glad I did! The place itself is rustic, fun and clean. It could do with a lick of paint but this can be easily overlooked when there is so much attention to detail on the food and service. I loved all of the writing on the walls of where the ingredients come from and their story too. Overall, I'm trying to find more excuses to come back... Ok I don't need an excuse I'm coming back!

This is a good place to have a nice and delicious burger. And if you are a vegetarian like me, you would love the veggie option, which is not one of those veggie meat patties that are in every burger place

This is an average burger restaurant. We used a Wowcher deal so only paid £23 for two of us, which we were fine with. Having said that, the burgers were small, and the portion of fries were small too. If we didn't have the Wowcher discount, it would have come to around £50 (with drinks and service charge included) and we wouldn't be happy with that. Would recommend the Monday to Friday lunch time deal, however, which is £7.99 (perhaps a bit less as I can't remember off the top of my head). We won't be back. Not because the service was bad, but just because the burger was average and you can get a lot better for a lot cheaper.

Been before about a year ago and it was good but this time it was really disappointing. The burgers seem to have shrunk, and my beef burger tasted of of little else except salt (despite also having cheese, relish, bacon etc etc). Apparently they’ve had to change to serving ‘smashed patties’ (don’t know why) so the beef was also thin, dry and over-cooked. Absolutely no way worth the £18 I paid for a double ‘Mac-10’. The fries tasted like they’d been sitting around for a while - not crispy, but stale and over-salted. The chicken-burgers were well-received but also seemed on the small-side. All the food, despite the place being fairly empty, took a long time to arrive and was surprisingly not that hot when it did turn up. When I voiced my criticisms, our waiter explained that they’ve had to change their suppliers recently, although I’m not sure why that would affect the food in such ways. Overall, our £120 bill for 5 people felt like poor value for money, which is a shame as our previous visit had been so good.

Chicken burger was okay, but food is too expensive, cost me £4 for a pint of fruit juice. Service was decent but we paid through their app which added a very hefty service charge one. Wouldnt recommend to a friend to be honest.

I don't usually do reviews like this but this restaurant deserves to have one. My GF and I shared 2 burgers, we took the vegetarian options (basically the same burger but with a delicious veggie steak/chicken instead) And let me tell you, if I could rate this burger 6 stars out of 5, I would still try to give it 7.

Me and my boyfriend went here on a bit of a whim! But the food was glorious! We had the chef special burger and it was 👌🏽loaded gravy fries and fried chicken 🐽 luke served and he was absolutely lovely and such a pleasure. Thank you 🥰🥰🥰

Slightly pains me to say it but I don't think this place is what it used to be. Last visit the service was slow (which tbh has always been the case) but the food didn't seem as good and I think is now expensive for what it is. The lunch deal is reasonable value but otherwise I'd say it's quite overpriced. Wouldn't go back.

I ordered a classic chicken burger. I think the price is reasonable and the taste is so good. But I think the only negative is I can pay only by card. But almost is wonderful. I definitely want to go there again. It was amazing.

Service was very slow, ordered our drinks and got them after we finished our food. Took us a long time to even order our food. Overpriced and slow in general.

Went for bottomless burger club. Amazing service, hardly had to wait at all. All of the food was so scrumpy, we both overate and struggled to walk home 🤣🤣. My only reason that it's only a 9.5/10 rather than a 10/10 is that the tables are quite close together and the benches aren't the comfiest! Felt like a bit of a hunchback when we were done as the table was a bit too low for me. But totally worth it and I will visit again! The hot sauce and blue cheese wings were the best I've ever tasted 😋

Nice staff attentive and very friendly. Went for the lunchtime meal deal. Patty was over cooked and blackened which wasn’t nice and the chips were overdone too. Disappointed as I’ve ordered from here before and it’s been nice but food was not good today unfortunately.

Waited just over an hour for our food but it was a Saturday night. When it arrived it was good quality but very expensive for a 5oz burger patty without chips. The service was close to non-existent, when we did interact with the server it was as if we were inconveniencing them by needing anything. Unfortunately having heard how the other wait staff were interacting with tables around us it seemed like we may have got unlucky. Either way there's far too many great burger places nearby to justify giving the benefit of the doubt to this one.
