Burger King in Bassetlaw

The service is tragically slow - there is visibly one member of staff servicing all of the orders, of which there are many. People are having to wait half an hour for their ‘fast food’ orders. Not good enough by a long chalk.

Stodgy food but not many gluten free options on the A1 so better than nothing - not convinced of the nutritional value.

Getting to the services is a joke. But once inside Burger King was great. Being old I waited for a young man to take my order and that was quick and friendly. My whopper and fries and my wife's Chicken Royal and fries was exceptional, well cooked,hot and I mean hot and amazing crispy fries. In short we both needed and enjoyed our meals. I went in today and order a meal and the young gentleman behind the counter called Oscar and he was very helpful helping me choose my meal and making so I can eat it as I had Allergies and he told me what it contains and what he suggest I should have

Service was painfully slow, waited 19 minutes from placing the order to receiving our food. Literally no burgers were ready, condiments were all empty, ordering machine wouldn't print receipt. All in all it was a really painful experience and one I wouldn't repeat. Poor!

The 2 members of staff that were in Natasha and Reece were very friendly, there customer service skills were brilliant. The food I ordered was given to me in a timely manner and hot. Will definitely return

Worlds slowest service. You'd be better off going to KFC or McDonald's on the other side of the roundabout.

Never had to wait as long for an order, the staff are that laid back they may as well have stayed in bed.

Ridiculously overpriced 🤬 £30 for 3 royals on their own and a portion of 6 nuggets is absolute daylight robbery!

We went there fir a quick bacon sandwich this morning. Normally we use Greggs but there was a queue there and nobody was waiting at BK. Big mistake. We waited 25 minutes. He made one of the coffees after 10 minutes so it was cold by the time we got it. His manner was poor and we were given no apology or explanation on why it took 25 minutes to prepare 2 bacon sandwiches and 2 coffees. Next time back to Greggs, it would have been far faster even with a queue.

Painfully slow service. Only eat here if you've a tonne of spare time on your hands. It's takes sooooo long to get served. A very interesting take on fast food!

Slowest 'fast food' service in the world. Cold food. Rude staff who clearly don't want to be working there and can't be bothered with anything or anyone. The food was cold as i had waited 20 minutes for someone to give it to me while it sat there after being cooked. The ice cream tasted of chemicals... awful!

Ordered one simple vegy meal with chili cheese bites and the two serving today thought it was okay to give me a brocken burnt burger. Absolute disgrace to the public that would be traveling through this fastfood resteraunt. When I went back and said this is unacceptable, they straight up said to my face . . I don't know mate. Lied to my face and wasted more of my time me having to tell them how to do their job on making a dam burger right. Or maybe they just couldn't care less about the customers. However shows how low class these chains have become. The managers name Reece along with two others were rude enough not to apologise or neither felt like they messed a customer about. Ordered double whopper meal, wrong order received, when returned assistant, said, 'yes I know, we'll get you a fresh one'. 2nd one was definitely not fresh and bread fell apart,

Counter by till clearly hadn't been cleaned for a good while as was very dusty, and has sauce on it. Very unhygienic. Pop machine was out of order with only a choice of water, a kids drink or a hot drink.

Slowest service award goes to this BK outlet. Shambles!

Need more staff in there. 2 staff dealing with a queue out of the door? It's not the staff's fault. Management has cut corners and expect miracles from overworked staff. Blame the penny pinching greedy bloody management .

Missing items on uber eats. I have amended my review as my first was a 1 star and was more to do with uber eats however burgerkings lack of interest was also poor. Now I've been in at least twice and my review are based on those experiences and not my first. Staff are friendly, food is OK and inside the restaurant seating area it is quiet. I don't like the seating, they're really not very comfy. There is a bit of a wait for food. Overall, it's still a nice alternative to other fast food places.

Consistently the worst restaurant at any motorway services I have visited. Impressively slow food service, they should win an award for consistent lateness. Only staffed by a skeleton crew at all times, food sometimes comes out correct - but frequently something wrong with the order.

Shameful, they are racist, I tell them to pay in euros and give me the change in pounds and they don't want to, then I ask for a menu and they give me a simple hamburger, the treatment of these hamburgers is disappointing to those of us who are not from England

Motorway stop with good food and service

We like Burger King every now and then, they have the edge on other burger fast food chains, this branch was standard, absolutely fine, nothing fancy just a fast food place, food fine etc.

Painful one poor boy doing everything at breakfast time made worse that Gregg's is closed for refit so everyone going Burgerking sausage bap thought had a kids portion nearly £5.00 for that and a horrid capucino but well done to the boy for handling all the people if not very slowly which is to be expected bosses need to get the situation sorted

Fast service and good food! Gets busy on weekends and during school holidays.

Small service station a couple of shops and fast food options. Toilets are clean one of the five hand dryers in working order. The Burger King service was slow but polite ordered using one of the four self-service machines and waited. There are no seating areas to sit and eat inside, a couple of benches outside used by smokers, back to the car to eat.

Get ready to pay a lot more at motor way services

The screens where I tried to order didn't work, I asked the guy behind the counter for help. But he was not helpful. It the screen is not working go somewhere else was the answer. Will never go here again.

Slowest service ever every time we come here. As other people have said probably better and quicker to go to KFC over the road if you're needing a quick fix while on the road. All tables at Moto were also filthy tonight.

The food is same as always in burger king. Only comment would be, it would have been better hot. Ultimate breakfast lukewarm, hash browns stone cold. Maybe just unlucky this time but check the temp before you leave.

We didn't know what to have as we were driving from london, stopped here at Blyth services. I enjoyed my chicken royal, granddaughter enjoyed hers, however it annoys me when it's more expensive than our local one. Server very nice young man and helpful, however no napkins left so he gave us a small wrapped hand wipe.

This Burger King was the worst I’ve ever had,slow service,very expensive and very greasy,all I could smell was the grease on my hands driving home even after I’d washed them,the chips were ok though and so was the drink hence 1 star

Long wait. Hidden prices and gouging. £10 burgers without chips. Order on touchscreen kiosks. Prices are not visible until such time as you have completed your order and are to pay. I got a coke and small box of heavily processed fodder (I couldn’t tell if it was chicken or cheese). I anticipate my bowels will not be appreciative. £10. My father had a burger and small coffee. Note that when I say burger, I am not including any chips etc. £12. Absolute joke. Go the other side of the road for KFC.

So slow, 22 minutes for two meals with no modifications and it wasn't even very busy... And they charge you plenty for the time

I went here to get a nice pre game meal for the football and I was served efficiently and quickly and the food was very well constructed and had a elegant taste and i personally loved the way they have changed the Burger King crowns to a more classy look really made my day just want to say that the staff are a honour to have in the kitchen 👍

Services really busy as stopped at 1.30 for lunch on a Friday, but man directing parking outside was very effective. Helpful and efficient Burger King staff. Good food. No seating inside but lots of picnic benches outside.

As others have reported, under-staffed (in the summer holidays)! Felt sorry for those that were working. The lady 2 orders before me gave up waiting and let me pick up her food for me to have. Food reasonable but pricey compared to other fast food outlets. Service before profit would help.

Hopeless service. The team are clearly busy but no one seems to know what they are doing except one of the more experienced team who seems to be the supervisor. Each order is painfully slow. Took 25 minutes to produce out order. Could have produced a restaurant meal in a shorter time. Gives a new name to 'fast' food

Waited 15 mins after ordering to pick up. Huge queues and only 2 slow moving members of staff. Avoid.

Never seen it so busy here! 2 men directing cars to parking spots! We thought that wasn't a good start...then queues at the toilets...but not to worry....food outlets served quickly and easily...and entry of seating outside in the sunshine on Easter Monday! Burger King for son...while we opted for sandwiches from M and S with nibbles, crisps and biscuits for about the same price. Yes, it was busy, but this didn't affect the service.

Shocking. So very very slow. If you can ignore the fact that this motorway services building is not at all fit for purpose, the Burger King tops the bill for rubbish service and staff who simply did not know what they were doing. Multiple customers were complaining in front of us and it took 20 mins for a straightforward order (after 15 mins on the ordering process) Our order then arrived wrong. We ate what we didn’t actually order because, as well as other customers, we were loosing the will to live.

Come at 5:36pm and they're closed!

Stood there waiting for 10 mins, got to the till at 9.24pn after choosing, the young lad at the till proceeded to tell us they had closed. The manager hid, when I asked what time they closed he did not answer after asking over 3 times he told me 9.30!! I told him the time was not 25 past! He then went on to say there was no food. After travelling 4 hours staying in the travel lodge on site, where we were told BUrGER KING was open, total disgrace for a fast food establishment

This is expensive as it's at a services but the food is always good here!

Limited Staff during busy Sunday period, food (Burger was Luke warm, bun was stale made day or two old), meal wasn’t large and dips (ordered extra) were missing! Fries were hot = 1 Star ⭐️.

This is possibly the smallest services we’ve visited that offer the same as all the usual sized services. No where to sit and eat so we ended up taking BK and sitting in the car. Luckily it was late at night and not busy, as no space to queue and to get to the toilets/other amenities you’d have to walk through the people waiting for BK. Food itself usual Bk fair and all tasted fine and filled hole ready for our onward journey.

Wait time is okay but nothing like an inner city BK. Was a disappointing trip however as their menu change has removed the decent vegetarian option with some generic quorn replacement.

Stopped for a bite to eat travelling back to Manchester. The place was FREEZING COLD so we opted for a take out to eat in the car. On opening the bag of food, one bag of chips was totally tipped up and was emptied into the bag. And the lid on my husbands drink hadn't been put on properly and was a near disaster as he picked it out of the drinks holder. The wait for food seemed really long with lots of people waiting. Will definitely be McDonalds next time!

Awful customer service. Manager had decided to turn off the self-service checkouts so everyone was having to queue in very close proximity while most of the time there wasn't a staff member taking orders. Food was extremely salty (more so than you'd expect). Main issue was they clearly needed more staff though.

As with most fast food places at services, understaffed massively. Food gets banged out as quickly as it can be as the employees have no other choice so it leads to your burgers being incorrect, ingredients missing or generally slapped together. Still tastes alight though.

Terrible miserable staff wrong order twice in 2days

Went there to get something and asked at the the sauce at the till they forgot that went back to ask one staff member on the till and couldn’t get served because of the line.

It was a good break from the road. Unfortunately due to shortages there was a lot of things that werent on the menu. Completely understandable though and out of there control just irritating there was only one woman working and she was rushed off her feet there should have been more workers there. There were many good covid measures in place the workers were wearing masks and there was a large plastic sheet on the desk where the food is passed over significantly reducing contact between staff and coustomers.

Appalling. Can get a white coffee but oddly can't get a black coffee with breakfast. Never the less ordered a breakfast meal with a soft drink and purchased a black coffee from Costa. Get out to car and found the hash browns missing from meal. As the staff were so disinterest and apathetic on first encounter, couldn't be bothered to go back to complain.

Rated one star because there is nothing lower. Waited a hour for 3 nugget meals yesterday 15th August ordered at 7pm finally got food at 8.05pm, service was absolutely terrible

Not enough staff to serve people and clean, food all over the floor and tables disgusting, in the 30 minutes and didn't see anyone clean the floor or wipe any tables, should go to Mcdonalds to see how it's done

Horrible service, after the self order systems did not show any kids meals or cold drinks we went to the desk to place our order, after 6 minutes, Brooke (the shift manager, said she would be with us in a minute, then came another wait over 5 minutes and another member of staff asked us if we had been served, we answered no and she walked off!!! Hordes of people waiting for their orders with extremely poor customer service or attention. We walked out after being there for over 20 minutes without our order being taken. Avoid until the staff have either been retrained or replaced!!!

Ordered on uber, took 45 mins, was absolutely stone cold!, not a bit cold, proper cold. At £20 for two meals, it's not good enough.

This place shouldn't have a BK, the building can't handle the queues, the staff can't cook fast enough and handle the queues, the people inside can't handle queuing; especially when it gets busy. The high vis people were helpful though but it's clear to see this place needs some more investment. Usual MSA prices and a dangerous lack of EV points.
