Buffalo Soul Ja in Reigate and Banstead

This place is amazing. They’re stuck at the moment behind some construction work, but the food they put out is outstanding. Excellent jerk chicken, tasty rice and peas, good pasta, incredible sauces and coleslaw. Well worth tracking them down.

Honestly some of the best food I’ve had, more people need to know about this place. Great service and great value for money.

Not really a review, but I am wondering when you guys are open as I’ve tried ordering twice and haven’t had any luck. Look forward to trying the food though!

This was our first time ordering from Buffalo Soul Ja. We picked up rather than have it delivered. We had to wait a little longer than anticipated but the lady who greeted us was very friendly and apologised for the wait. We were happy to wait a little longer as the food has had great reviews. When we got home and sat down to the meal it did not disappoint. The flavours were authentic and fresh. The meal really did taste home cooked. To accompany the Jerk Chicken we had some hot sauce...... if you like hot sauce this is for you. Would recommend for service and quality of food. So if you fancy some authentic Carribbean flavours, why not try Buffalo Soul Ja and support a small local business into the bargain.

.. i read through the reviews, and i think these guys are getting review-bombed. First off, YES this is *exactly* what Jerk should taste like. I spent 5 weeks in Jamaica eating Jerk out of oil drums on the side of the road and this is what they need to taste like - it's gotta have that black bark, if it doesnt have it it's not real Jamaican Jerk. I'm very happy with the food i got and i'm gonna recommend it to my boys at work.

Tongue tingling, sensationally spicy BBQ jerk chicken. Absolutely fabulous food find this afternoon hidden away next door to the new Kooky Apartment block in Redhill. Great value and well worth a try.

Redhill’s little hidden Jamaican gem. I can honestly say this is the most authentic jerk chicken I have had since cooking with my aunt Suzi in Antigua . The value for money, the taste, the explosion of flavours in your mouth with that jerk sauce.. WOW. I ordered the half a chicken, rice and peas. The portion size was epic, for a man to say “I can eat” was an understatement. This filled me up and I had leftovers too. It came with a choice of jerk or BBQ sauce. And it’s jerk all the way, you could taste the flavour of the pimento, scotch bonnets, lime etc. If you like the original spice this is what is needed with your meat and rice. It also came with a coleslaw, creamy and flavoursome. Overall experience 10/10.

WOW . Being from London i was spoilt for choice for Caribbean/ jerk takeaways. Coming to live out here I never thought I would be this lucky in finding Buffalo Soul Ja . Me and the missus just had the jerk quarter meal and it was absolutely delicious. This place will be my go too from now on. If I could give more stars I would .

Great authentic Jamaican food. With great customer service, and generous food portions. The guy who runs the kitchen is a top guy, who’s hard work is reflected in the 10/10 food he provides. Would recommend the boneless breast meal or half chicken meal for sure

Omg this food is beautiful. Came up from Portsmouth for work and find this place. The smell of the food was amazing and had to get some of that. The owner was very helpful, chatty, happy and polite. Will definitely be back, even if we have to catch a train every weekend. Thanks Eddie 👍

This was my first visit to buffalo soul ja. The food was flavourful and the portion size was more than enough (VIP jerk). I will definitely be returning in future.. or next week.!! LoL

Collected our meal for my husbands birthday from here and didnt disappoint i over ordered so had next day leftovers which were just aa good plenty of good food and rasta pasta is amazingand

Visit: 08/01/2022. The taste was horrid, does not taste like Caribbean Jerk Chicken, just taste burnt no flavour.Meal also included 3 lamb chops, which we're also Burnet. Charged £60 for VIP dish (3pls) which was very late and Burnet. Jerk chicken should not taste disgustingly burnt, you can easily look on google to see what jerk chicken should look like & who uses cous cous looking rice for rice and peas! no flavour of coconut dry. Their hygine is 2 star.

All the redhill people who have not been to Jamaica Jerk chicken doesn't taste like this, you can find better caribean food in London. £18 for this, How do you taste this a think its ok to serve as Caribbean food. Jerk chicken should not taste disgustingly burnt, you can easily look on google to see what jerk chicken should look like when cooked properly on coal or grilled. Who uses cous cous looking rice for rice and peas! no flavour of coconut and dry. Hoping that i dont get ill, now reading a review of them having a 2 star hygiene. The crazy thing is that their reply was critiquing the Food Standards Agency rather than why they have 2 star rating. Good thing i got a refund from Deliveroo

I’ve ordered twice in two days. This place is absolutely amazing. The quality of the food is outstanding. It’s delicious. The portions are fantastic. I just smile. I can’t really describe it other than it’s happiness.

Oh My Marley...where do I start!? The rice alone is out of this world. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavour and tonnes of it. Then the chicken... succulent, undeniably marinated for a decent length of time and cooked with love. Piping hot on arrival and so yummy that my boyfriend of 13 years made noises of pure pleasure that I have never heard him make!!

You'd never find this place if you didn't know where to look. It's down the alleyway next to Coral on the High Street, surrounding area is a bit of a dive. Without a doubt, the best food in Redhill. Make sure you order about half hour in advance though as it's cooked to order. Absolutely stunning food, recommend the Bonus Chicken meal with rice and peas and pasta and amazingly cooked chicken. The owner is the friendliest guy you'll come across. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would.

As a West Indian living in Redhill, West Indian food is hard to come by. Imagine my surprise when this popped up... I had to try. Oh man... It's amazing. The Jerk taste is indescribable and they now have regular customers with us! I'm obsessed. Thank you for the drinks and the rainbow coleslaw it's THE BEST. I'm telling everyone I know. 😍

We ordered 7miles away from Oxted and they still delivered, food was hot, fresh and full of flavour. Home cook food at its best. We were so impressed with the food from here. Great communication and deceiver driver was fab too. Thank you very much Buffalo Soul Ja.

It was our first time trying this place and I can honestly say I wish I had found this place sooner. Food was amazing, freshly cooked and full of flavour. I myself am a bit of a foodie and was brought up in a jamaican household and I can honestly say I wont be visiting another Caribbean food shop again. The customer service was great also . If you haven't tried this place you are missing out! Big up to the chef!

Stopped by on my Motorcycle ride today and Eddy kindly gave us some Jerk Chicken to try. Wow! great chicken, Great sauce. I can highly recommend, if you are in Redhill, don't go to McDonalds go here. Thanks, Eddy I will be back.

I've been a chef 20 years, and I found Buffalo Soul Ja last night (Laurence here). It's tucked away down a back alley way so a little tricky to find but all I can say is FIND IT! You won't be disappointed the jerk chicken and the chops were absolutely banging. Call ahead as the food is cooked fresh to order. I don't know the name of the chef/owner but he's a proper decent man and is showing his love for his business through his amazing flavour and cooking. Seriously I haven't got enough words. Trust I'm a new regular and I encourage anyone reading this to try the flavours. Genuinely a kitchen that deserves to succeed.

My partner brings this home on a regular basis and I absolutely LOVE it. This hidden gem is my favorite takeaway. I absolutely love the jerk sauce. The chicken is perfect and it's real food, not processed stuff. It does take a while to cook, but it's absolutely worth the wait. I would have this multiple times a week if I could. Also, the price is great. I can't recommend it enough and I hope it's around for a long time.
