Visited on a Friday for lunch and was very disappointed. Ham and cheese toasted sandwich was poor quality for the price with cheap ham and bread which was barely toasted. Burger was a bit better although the pepper sauce came served with a horrible skin on the top which shows how long it had been sat under hot lights for and it seems silly to pay and order your chips separately so it was almost £16 for a burger and chips! Staff were pleasant and service wasn’t bad but the tables were sticky and the bathrooms a health hazard! No plug in the sink so you could see/smell the drains below and no soap which is a huge red flag for hygiene. Definitely won’t be visiting again!

Used to love the breakfast but can tell it is new chefs as the food comes out looking like it has sat under hot lights and not freshly cooked as it was before

Was very disappointed!!! Watched the farm on television, and travelled up from Lancashire to sample the buffalo. All that was there was minute steaks which had been rolled to give the appearance of a good steak. It was not until cooking that the layers were obvious. Not impressed with the meat. Shop staff disinterested in customers. Would not recommend and will not be going again.

Visited last week, and after enjoying previous visits, it is clear to see this place has gone downhill. Busy inside the restaurant, we were seated and then waited a good 10 minutes until the drinks ordered were taken - then another 10 minutes until the drinks arrived, and then the cutlery was just thrown on the table. I noticed the table was sticky and hygiene, not as good as it should be. After visiting the toilet, there was no hand gel to wash your hands, and even the outside tap hand gel was empty. Very poor. The food finally arrived after 40 minutes waiting, and it was ok at best but not as good as it used to be. The best part was feeding the goats with the kids, and we won't be back here for any food but happy to feed the goats. Very dissapointed.

Hi. Went to the Buffalo Farm to purchase a selection of “Buffalo Steaks” of a decent size, 16-20oz. Sadly not a single steak of any size or cut from the shop available to buy and take away. I suppose phoning ahead will/could be an option, but what’s the point of having a shop on the farm not having available to primary product of the farm. Bit pointless so sadly not going to waste my time going the again.

The food is really good and we always enjoy visiting but it is a shame they no longer do courier delivery. We have ordered goods from here since they first opened but now they have decided to abandon their loyal customers and only sell to locals or visitors. Obviously they now have enough local customers and do not need the customers that supported them when they first started.

I visited twice in July, once with the grandkids to have Kid Cuddles, adorable little pygmy goat kids and again with my sister for playtime with the goats, they are just gorgeous greedy wee things lol. Both were well run experiences with the welfare of the animals being top priority. 😊

Great food and great service in the cafe but you will be disappointed if you hope to see buffalo. On pictures or Minced in packets or cut into steaks in the farm shop is the only buffalo to be seen. Pygmy goats a Peacock and a Cockerell are the nearest to farming buffalo.... apparently the fields are still too wet for Water Buffalo. Mmmmmmmmm sceptical..

There is nothing more therapeutic than cuddling baby goats. Buffalo Farm’s baby goat cuddle sessions were well organised and the team (Alana and colleague) were so lovely and friendly. We travelled 2 hrs just to have cuddles and it was worth the journey. They were absolutely adorable and so relaxed they snuggled in for extra cuddles and fell asleep when they got tired. Buffalo Farm had so much more to offer with other animals included emus, a peacock, lots of Pygmy goats (and kids) and buffalo. The farm has a spacious cafe, outdoor picnic area, sheltered area and a fabulous shop with fresh farm produce. We loved the buffalo steak burgers and frozen pizza dough. We will definitely visit again. Such an enjoyable day and great value for money. We are missing the baby goats already!

The ickle bickle goats is really why we go.... The quality of food in the shop is fabulous, but it's not cheap. However a little buffalo mince goes a long way-and if you go towards the end of the day you might find a treat with a sticker on it! Stockists of Fisher and Donaldson bakery, and Barnetts Bread. The cafe does an excellent breakfast, with very nice coffee. Easy to miss the entrance so keep a look out!!

Although I never actually visited, yet. I wanted to leave a review as I’ve recently had a delivery (London) The scotch pies are to die for and as for the haggis, white, black and haggis pudding are just the best I’ve ever tasted. At the end of January, my delivery was one of the last as they have stopped this service as the couriers have messed up (shame on you DPD) I am so glad that I was able to get a slice of Scottish fayre I do look forward to checking out this place for real next time am home (grew up in Lochgelly) Thanks to all the staff and particularly Alana who went above and beyond to ensure that I got my delivery in time.

Went to the shop to buy steak pie ,Steak pie!!! is not a PIE it’s a top crust, a pie has a bottom to it, and I was so disappointed when I got home and realised it was only a top crust, will certainly not be buying it again, anyone can make a top crust, buy ready rolled pastry and sick it on a dish of meat, not a pie in my eyes, SO DISSATISFIED

Went for steak night but extremely disappointed. Asked for medium steak but was more rare.Few soggy chips, hard peas and two underdone soggy onion rings. No salad as advertsed. Food was also cold. Asked for a prosecco and was told had no cold ones . Was given small one off top shelf behind bar but when I opened it it was completely flat and very yellow so I think it must have been on the shelf a long while! Lady opened big bottle which again came from top shelf so was not cold but was bubbly. Can't believe there was no bottles in wine fridge. Sticky toffee pudding was good though. Seeing as there was just one other couple in the restaurant there really was no excuse for steak meal being so poor as kitchen not rushed. Won't be rushing back!!!

Great location on the Old Course. Beautiful modern terrace on the top floor with stunning views across the fairways to the sea. So wanted to like this place but were disappointed. Food was standard golfing fare - steaks and lobster - OK but nothing special . Wine list reasonable for price and choice. What lets the place down is the lack of management oversight. Tables with broken legs, jet lagged golfers asleep in the lobby, incredibly noisy ambience all overseen by a well meaning but overwhelmed serving staff. Not what you expect when paying $400 for a meal for two. Dinner took three and a half hours. We had to track down staff to order wine, coffee and get the check. Could be a good dining alternative to the Old Course Hotel but its let down badly by the service. Seems its owned by one of those absentee investment companies and it shows .

Had afternoon Tea today(Sunday). The view is stunning, overlooking the golf course and the Forth. We had to wait around 10 minutes and received 4 types of sandwiches, a plain scone and fruit scone and a variety of cakes. The scones were some of the best I’ve ever had- warm from the oven, the cakes were light. We received a bottle of water and large pot of tea but had to ask for glasses. The toilets were a bit more dated than the restaurant but clean

Arranged to meet friends here for a lunch and a catch up. This is a very popular visit with very pleasant surroundings through a very large conservatory contributing to a very well lit area. There are a number of tables within the conservatory and your extensive menu is on the table. There are hot and cold food choices ordered at the server and brought to your table. We opted for chicken and rice soup and tomato and vegetable soup. To accompany the soup we ordered cheese and onion toasties and cheese and ham. We had carrot cake put aside for later that was the last of it. The chicken soup had a distinct homemade stock flavour with generous amounts of chicken through the rice and veg. The toasties came with crisps and side salad and coleslaw on the side. They were very well cooked with a generous filling. Finally the piece de resistance the home baking carrot cake came bursting with flavour very moist and topped with a very sweet icing. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.
