Nos encanta Bubbleology, pero esta fue nuestra peor experiencia por una milla. El servicio era lento, algo de boba no estaba disponible. Nuestro té tenía poco sabor y el té de mi hija era en polvo. No volveremos a este outlet en particular de nuevo.

Las bebidas eran decentes, pero en comparación con los otros tés de burbujas que he tomado en Edimburgo y alrededor de Escocia se quedó corto, especialmente con los precios caros. Yo diría que la ubicación era la más conveniente para llegar, sin embargo, si no quieres caminar fuera del centro de la ciudad.

Best spot in prime location. Very fast service with Irfan being on the front to guide you through the steps in case you are nasaceint to bubble tea. 5 star service. Must Recommended.

The assistant manager is horrible. 2 weeks ago I went up to order my drink just as they opened, there was 2 staff members when I arrived and one of them was shouting at the other one I had overheard the older employee saying "You are lying about me" and he also said "I want nothing to do with you" the team member reslised I was waiting for my drink and was taking my order in an angry manner, as I have anxiety it took me a second to say the answer to his question where he made me more anxious as he said "do you not understand English it is simple YES or NO" after ordering with this employee I had went over to the other side to collect my drink the other staff member who was serving me on drink collection area was the younger employee who was being shouted at by the older employee. the younger employee who was serving me the drink was honestly such a lovely person they asked me how my day was and just made conversation with me, so I thought I should ask if he were alright after being shouted at he responded by saying he was good (I could tell that he was not fine after being shouted at, instead he just showed me amazing customer service to hide the fact he was unhappy). I then asked him for the other employee's name who had shouted at him he said " I'm not sure if I can give you his name but he is the assistant manager" I am absolutely appalled by the behaviour of the assistant manager first shouting at the employee, especially in front of customers and for providing me with terrible customer service and made me incredibly uncomfortable when I couldn't get my words out, don't know who hired him he has no customer service, horrible to employees and has no simple respect for people. he should be fired ASAP. I honestly feel so bad for the younger employee as no one should be treated like that and still, he was able to provide the best service I have had in a while. Genuinely shame on the assistant manager. making me think twice about buying from here only reason I would go back is if the other employee is there.

13 yr old daughter was overcharged on Wednesday. She asked for a refund and the server didn’t know how to use the izettle and got v flustered. Eventually they gave her correct drink but instead of refund debited another £9.38 from her account. Once she realised she was too shy to go back and complain as server seemed angry. We emailed customer service and tweeted but have had no reply. There is no phone number across UK for complaints 🤷 Today, I went with her with receipts and her bank statement to prove the error. Server tried to help but then said because it was more than 2 days ago he couldn’t find the transaction so he couldn’t refund. They have taken our details but a 13 yr old is still £10 out of pocket because the staff hadn’t been trained to use till. Awaiting the refund. Shocking service.

After repeating myself three times of which drink I wanted, I received the wrong order in the wrong size cup. I said to the guy who was making the drinks that my order was wrong and shouldn’t have tapioca in it and he proceeded to chuck the already made drink with tapioca in it into a smaller than ordered cup rather than making a fresh one. This resulted in my new drink having absolutely no flavour at all. Terrible service, terrible communication and absolutely no standards.

Just visited the Bubbology at St James Quarter (7pm, 14th June 22). 2 stars because 1st ever time I visited, the staff were great and the tea was lovely and made me a convert to bubble tea. Have had mixed visits since then (sometimes great, sometimes poor) but tonight's visit was a different level of bad. I ordered, went around to wait and, unlucky for them, saw the serving of tapioca I was being given - the server even showed it to the manger, who nodded her head to OK it. It didn't even cover the bottom on the cup. I asked if that was all the tapioca there was and was begrudgingly given more (and the manager muttered something to the server about not giving double measures if they weren't paid for). I said to the manager that the original serving of tapioca had been very small and was told that they were trying to ration it out as they were running out. So I pointed out that I'd paid for a full portion and was told with a sneer that I'd got one now, hadn't I??? (I mean, I hadn't, but at least I had over 1/2 a normal serving by now.) Note the admission that they'd knowingly short served me was made with no apology and from the way I was spoken to, it was made out that *I * was being unreasonable for asking for what I'd paid for. Still, jokes on me as the tapioca was cold, hard and basically inedible and the rest of the drink wasn't much better. Having paid £4 for it, I suffered through it for a while but eventually dumped it in the nearest bin.

Honestly, avoid this place, there are many decent bubble tea places in Edinburgh now, do not waste your money on (or time queuing for) Bubbleology. One star (as opposed to zero) as the staff were polite and pleasant (but slow). It was so bad we both had to bin the drinks after a couple of sips! I post this as a public service (I don’t actually enjoy posting bad reviews)…

Hmm...don't usually turn down a bubble tea but this time I wish I had. There is always much hype when a new food outlet opens especially as popular something like bubble tea. The queue was huge as everybody wanted to try this new stall. The ordering process was very painful. The girl taking orders was clearly inexperienced as it wasn't a quick and easy process to order a drink and pay. Often you would have another female member of staff barking orders at her which, professionally did nothing for the poor girls self-esteem. The menu wasn't very clear with too many complicated options, maybe they were being a bit adventurous?? Anyway, the overall product was not good. Pearls were very undercooked and chewy, with hard bits. The tea also tasted weird. Not to our liking at all. Should've gone to T'EA over in the Omni Centre. If you're desperate they're ok, but there are better ones in Edinburgh.

The man that served me this morning approx. 8.05am was so rude. He threw my bacon roll onto the counter then turned his back on me. I am disgusted by his service and lack of manners. I got a Jammie doughnut as well and because he didn't bother to put the little cover over the icing, by the time I went to eat it on lunch all the icing had come off. That is twice he has pissed me off today.

Had just landed in Edinbugrh yesterday and headed to the shopping centre to find something to eat! Thought we'd try here for handiness. For a start, far too expensive for what it was. Order was took wrong at the bar. Now spending the 2nd day of our 3 day break in the hotel dealing with food poisoning. AVOID AVOID AVOID ❌️❌️❌️

Absolutely hideous never show up at this place food was rotten, freezing cold, and waited over 2 hours on delivery. Only order after everywhere else is shut and there is literally no other option. Avoid at all costs

We visited here during our Edinburgh trip today (22.07.2024). We were looking for a nice cake to go with our coffee only to be horrified in seeing LOADS of flies crawling all over them! We alerted a member of staff whose response was “cover these up”. They decided to wrap cling film over them!!! After flies had crawled all over them!!! Disgusting, the amount of flies was vile, the cakes should have been binned, we then watched as they continued to serve these to poor customers who had not known. This is a serious breach of health and hygiene and I am absolutely disgusted. we will not be back.
