An excellent local cafe, excellent value, great food, great service. Very popular with local community. Half English Breakfast, a large cappuccino, Poached eggs on toast and Green juice. 2 happy regular customers

This is a fantastic place ! I go there quite often. The food and variety is excellent. They make very good coffee. Amazing falafel. Delicious carrot cake . The plates are so nicely presented . Davide is always so accommodating. He is the heart of the place. I have never been dissatisfied with food or service. Please continue like this,

A big thank you to the staff at theStanmore branch for being so lovely and finding us a table even though we mistakenly booked a table at the wrong branch. The food and service was faultless. Definitely worth a visit even the coffees are amazing

The experience got off to a troubling start! Staff body language communicated a disheartening no-no! No eye contact, no smile, no words of welcome. I had to initiate awareness of my presence - the place was empty save for one table of two customers. Frontline members of staff were forgetful & lacked anticipation: I had to ask for cutlery; I had to remind & ask for requested vinegar, which eventually arrived not in a bottle but in a tiny ceramic dish; staff within proximity ignored the crashing sound of my knife hitting the floor - oops, I dropped it - and so I had to initiate & ask for a clean replacement. Slow at food item service, which resulted in cold, unpalatable ham & cheese toasty; ignored my attempts to pay my bill with a card even though I proffered the plate with a VISA card to the waitress. Menus description failure: The so-called "skin on chips" side was nothing of the sort, merely regular chips, few in number but high in cost, a whopping £3.90 to add to the price of £7.40 of my ham & cheese toasty. The menu describes add-on sides as "PIMP [sic] YOUR PLATE", a curious use of the word, a risible misnomer in the circumstances. I'd rewrite this as 'rip off...plate', for I witnessed the next table of two customers being palmed off with zero consideration and/or adequate recompense when the staff were informed of a food hygiene issue. The team has difficulty communicating verbally in English & has zero understanding of the norms of common sense & PR customer care in the hospitality industry. Owners need to take a grip on what's going on and what's not at Oak Caffe, more like Gaffe Caffe, if you ask me. Local eateries/cafes were busy, one on the same street overflowing outside with customers, a telling reflection of lamentable standards at this troubled eatery.

Ordered a tuna melt sandwich. Very vinegary! Came with a side salad which had a very long human hair in it!! Waitress said she would make a new salad but came back with the same salad rearranged! Sent it back again and said "we don't want another". The manager appeared with yet another salad which we had said we didn't want they also tried to compensate with a couple of small pastries which were stale. No allowance was made on the bill for the lack of hygiene and service. Have been to this cafe many times without a problem and will not be returning!

Lovely food, great menu, excellent service and the best coffee in town! And they make the coffee hot :)

This is the best cafe in Stanmore in my opinion! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food and coffee are excellent. In addition, I prefer giving business to an independent establishment.

We have been coming here for a few years as we are local and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and very well cooked. The staff are brilliant, nothing is a problem for them.. even a toddler who wants to order everything from the menu! Thank you for always being so welcoming

We really enjoyed our lunch. Good quality, wide selection on menu and very friendly staff. They catered for gluten free diet. Pancakes made from oat flour is something very rarely offered elsewhere.

Very polite and helpful barrista shop assistant, maybe the owner. Lovely atmosphere and very Christmassy in a welcoming and pleasant way. Had a cappucino with almond milk, very strong for my taste, but fresh and good! Had the vegan cake, it was probably not made in store and it was not fresh either, a little bit stale. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. Warm and friendly place to hang out in. I loved the fact they offered table service! They also accept cash payments! Thank you for a welcoming experience and for offering us a warm spot to hang out in.

After coming here 2 years ago and being very disappointed we decided to give it a second chance. This time round very warm efficient service, very generous portion of cake and good drinks. I don't know if the owners/management have changed but I would be very happy to come back again.

What business doesn't accept card in this day and age? Very inconvenient. Food average. Barracuda which is 30 seconds walk away is a 100x more modern, spacious and comfortable along with more menu choice. Service OK.

Solía vivir en Stanmore hace unos 15 años. Mi marido entonces es un americano y bf utilizada para caminar hasta Brown y beber abundante tazas de café y leer el periódico y mientras yo estaba en el trabajo. Como nuestro local que frecuentan este lugar regularmente. Un pequeño café, sirve un completo desayuno inglés, genial entre otras cosas una mierda como sándwiches y hamburguesas, etc.

She who must be obeyed and I went for a breakfast saturday morning. The establishment was clean, a little on the small side, the menu apart from printed format put out on the tables was well set out on blackboards on the walls. The service was quick and efficient. The food was hot and tasty. Well worth a visit.......

This is one of my fav cafe, where food is fresh. The cafe is clean. Brilliant service. Always busy so have to get there early to get s table.

Love this cafe, love the people. My only bug bear is that they don't advertise their take away coffee better to beat out the local dominating chains, I know it's better value and made with more love, and they also don't have free range egg/pork options. I understand not everyone cares, but I do and would love the choice! :)

Our father has Vascular Dementia and has been going to the cafe for the past two years following the death of our mother, the staff have been wonderful, caring and understanding which is a rarity in these times. Due to the deterioration of his health he has recently been unable to attend the cafe on his own and when he did return the staff all came and talked to him and asked how he was, this boosted our father's confidence no end. Our family would like to thank all staff for the wonderful caring attitude to their customers which is so very rare these days, please do not ever change. Thank you so much.Added to this the food is excellent, a jewel amongst all the fast food tacky cafe/restaurants that are around now.

What a lovely little cafe! The service was excellent; friendly waitress and manager (probably the owner, I'm not a regular.) The prices are decent, and the food is top notch. My father-in-law and I both had ham, eggs and chips. Decent chips, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. My wife had a tuna mayo baguette, which she devoured like it was going out of fashion.

Food clean and fresh tasting clean oil used. Staff pretty friendly and chilled. Fair prices my only gripe is breakfast lacks a little in flavour. But I will still use this cafe.

I have Eaten in here several times. It's a little crowded. The staff can be rude at times and the food isn't anything to shout about. No presentation. Food is plonked in front of you, you eat, you go. We had breakfast here last week. It wasn't great. I won't be coming back....

This is my local cafe and I eat there regularly. The service is good and quick and the food is excellent. The prices are extremely fair. The coffee is better than the International chain of shops with an outlet next door!

Always welcoming. Food is served quickly which is great as I'm usually on lunch break. Both hot food served and take away sandwiches. It's busy but I never feel rushed.

Been going for years, kids love it, food is consistent, staff are lovely. It's not the cheapest cafe around but you get what you pay for and we always enjoy a good light lunch or breakfast at Browns!

This friendly cafe is a regular lunch spot while on Saturday shopping trips with mother in law. Great value, spot on jacket spuds and breakfasts as well as specials and themed baguettes, always bustling with regulars who clearly know a good thing when they see one. If you're in the area drop in, you won't regret it.
