The British Airways Galleries South Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 5 is a sophisticated and spacious lounge that offers travellers a comfortable and upscale environment to relax before their flights. The lounge reflects British Airways' commitment to quality, with its elegant design, extensive amenities, and attentive service. Upon entering, you're greeted by a stylish and contemporary space, featuring a mix of seating options to suit different needs. Whether you prefer a quiet corner to unwind, a workstation to catch up on some work, or a communal area to socialise, the lounge has it all. The decor is chic, with a blend of modern furnishings and touches of British heritage, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food and beverage offerings are a highlight of the Galleries South Lounge. The buffet features a range of options, from hot dishes to lighter snacks, catering to various tastes and dietary requirements. The quality of the food is generally excellent, with freshly prepared dishes that change throughout the day. The bar is well-stocked with a wide selection of wines, spirits, and champagnes, adding a touch of luxury to your pre-flight experience. The self-serve coffee and tea stations are

Lounge is ok, food as well. But cleaning table in crowded lounge is sometimes not working well. If a large group is showing up, then it turns out to be loud as in a pub. No-one enforcing any rules to have some quiet place after 10 hour flight, waiting for onward journey. BA staff: if you read this: poor experience.

The best lounge option in Terminal 5 when flying BA business class, especially when compared to the options you get with Priority Pass (small, crowded lounges with subpar food options). This lounge is less crowded, has decent good and drink options, is comfortable, and is better than the lounge after security check.

Don't get fooled by the sign that says 'Current Lounge Occupancy' is zero for Club Lounge South. It's just as busy as Club Lounge North. They misdirect because most would choose Club Lounge North because of proximity to gates, and I actually prefer the North lounge

Exactly what you would expect from a BA business class lounge. The south lounge is generally more quiet than north but there are boards after priority security that show how busy they are. Long and spacious, plenty of seats (although always not so many with higher tables, more relaxed seatings). When we there breakfast buffet was out - sausage egg hash browns etc. All good quality. Very relaxing!

For an exclusive access room it is quite mediocre. The table cleaning service was very occasional, so it was common to see empty tables with plates. The food, although at first it seemed to offer some variety, can be greatly improved. My children always eat pasta with tomato from any children's menu and the one in this room was terrible. The same with rice and other dishes. Not even the variety of snacks is worth it... Potatoes flavored with cheese (Doritos type but very bad) or vinegar is the only thing we found. If you like beer you won't find it here either because there was only Heineken in a can. Selection of standard soft drinks. The best selection of alcohols.

Food options actually very good, for both breakfast and evening. It’s just so busy all the time and this is the problem. The tables are always full of used plates etc and there doesn’t seem to be enough staff on hand. The idea of premium should be just that; club lounges are now busier than the pay as you go lounges. This south lounge in particular seemed to have no where to charge devices, which was really unhelpful.

Even though the lounge was quite large, it got very busy in the afternoon. The seats were quite cramped and it would get quite noisy even in the so-called quiet zone. The tables were always full of used plates - I could tell they were seriously understaffed as the same cleaning lady had been trying her best walking non-stop for hours. Terminal 5 is the easiest terminal to get to at Heathrow but when looking at a premium cabins and lounges there are better options out of terminal 2 & 3 for international, long distance travel.

On several occasions I saw low down managers chastising the staff, saying that they shouldn’t be talking to customers, in a harsh and rude manner. It feels like some institutional caste racism, which is not being managed correctly. But then what do you expect when you employ the cheapest staff imaginable for what is supposed to be a luxury service. I had to tell the manager, that whatever the staff member should or shouldn’t be doing, they themselves shouldn’t be having that conversation in front of customers, and they should take it into the kitchen. I am afraid this lounge leaves much to be desired for. I visited on a Wednesday, at around 5pm. The indicator said the lounge was at 3/5 full, but in reality, I would say it is closer to 4/5. There is one central buffet area with a salad bar (offering lettuce, beans, quinoa etc); a hot food bar (offering rice, potatoes, a curry, a stew and some quiche). There is also a picnic area offering sandwiches, slices of pound cake, pickles and two cheeses. A juice bar offered fresh juice and a mystery smoothie in an opaque box which I dared not try. The quality of food was fine; I would describe them as cafeteria food. Pictured here is one of the “free pour” alcohol area dotted around the lounges. This is standard, nothing to write home about. BA attempted to offer 3 cocktails but they were uninspiring (and not very alcoholic). The lounge also has plenty of tea and coffee stations, which were self service machines, and they were okay - not many alternative milks though. The main complaint I have is with hygiene. I am easy to please, but the sheer amount of flies present near the coffee and tea stations is rather alarming. This is the same with the bathrooms - although there seem to be someone cleaning them constantly, they were NOT clean. I will spare you the details. It is rather shocking that the main Heathrow bathrooms were in much better shape. Given how many competitors there are in Heathrow, BA really ought to step up their game if they want to keep premium offerings.

Contrary to popular opinion this lounge isn't all bad. The food is alright, and there is plenty to drink. It's just about large enough to cater for all, however finding a table can be a struggle. Times when this lounge isn't packed are becoming scarce to none. Staff are helpful.

Third floor, no queue at all when we arrived (Thursday, 17:00), the receptionist was quite rude to us when I tried to scan the boarding pass for me and my daughter. She said directly to us that my daughter are not allowed, so I insisted to try to scan again and it went through. She just looked away and just silent till I ask if she is allowed now? Then she said yes. There are not much available seats when we got here, but food, drink, and WiFi were excellent.

The lounge was quiet early in the morning and had a great selection of breakfast items, fruit and drinks at the bar. The bar is a little tired in some areas such as the seating and power points. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would visit again.

Went there before a short business trip yesterday. Dismissively waved in by reception with a tut- I think the point was they were doing me a favour by scanning my pass? I don’t agree; quite a grubby lounge, tired decor, bland food options, nothing special. Watched (with ~100 others) a member of staff in BA uniform shouting at an elderly guest and talking over him as he tried to respond; she was correct with the underlying point that she was making, the customer was wrong but how you express yourself matters and the customer is … the customer. Going round the corner, giggling with reception deliberately within earshot of the targeted customer and then trying to rally staff around your version of events (e.g. threatened escalation to add “credibility” to the point, customer agreed that would be best, promised the customer a manager, then didn’t get a manager) is just unpleasant to watch. Not enough seating and too full, understaffed, certain staff not up to the BA standard and uniformly unfriendly. Not a positive experience and not worth the loyalty. BA also boards groups 1,2 and 3 together on some flights now so more points do not necessarily mean more benefits. This is BA’s flagship hub, and it is wasting home advantage. The non BA lounges at T3 are better.

Demasiado llena. Ha empeorado desde el inicio y tiene mal mante6. Por ejemplo, hay enchufes que son un peligro al estar al descubierto.

Large busy lounge. Comfortable seating and reasonable spread of food options. Shower facilities were impossible to book even being in the lounge 7 hours.
