Britannia Hotel Newcastle Airport in Newcastle upon Tyne

Well getting into the room was a problem how's the electronic key did not work and even after resetting it a few times still didn't work and had to change room pretty good value for the money cleanliness has to be desired especially in the bathroom very outdated remind me of an old old Travelodge but it is cheap and cheerful and I'm very close to the terminal for under £50 are the pretty good stay in the end so I got to get 5 out of 5 AJ

So room smelly? . We ate in the bar places order at 7pm table 11 at 8pm I asked were our order was . Guy came over and said I asked who's food this was but no one answered. it's cold now maybe we can warm it up ? . People on tables around us said he never came. Offered a free drink and food arrived 15mins later . Food was average at best . Not sure if it was warmed up or cooked fresh again ???? Asked for a refund but told only head office could authorise it . Whish I'd gone next door to the garage and got a meal deal .

They just decided to ignore my booking.com msn, not answer at all. So that tell you something about the place

Stayed here for 1 night with work.wouldnt stay any longer.made faulty towers look like the ritz Towels hadn't been changed and were filthy room hadn't been cleaned cobwebs and dust everywhere. Asked for clean Towels and was told we will get some to you,they never arrived.Bed not comfortable didn't sleep as I have back problems to start with.

Needs a revamp. The rooms are dated and look shabby. Clean and great location for airport.

Not a bad hotel but the beds were firm as rocks. Didn't sleep very well with having a bad back. The rooms are needing updated badly (the bathroom was the worst). Service was okay, not amazing. The location is very convenient when you have a very early flight like we did!

We booked a night stay at the Britannia Hotel (Newcastle Airport) because we had a flight to catch at 6a.m the next day, so we only slept in this accommodation for a couple of hours. My initial thought was only to spend a couple of pounds for an overnight stay. Scarily enough, the room was a lot more dilapidated than we expected. It felt like a haunted room with creaking doors, cobwebs, etc. One of the twin beds had body hairs left all over it. My partner slept on that bed because he didn't mind as long as he got a few hours of rest there, and eventually, he woke up with bites all over his legs. As I could not wait to run out of there at 3a.m sharp, I didn't take any photos. For what it is worth, you can book this hotel at your own risk. We paid approximately £85 per night, and the Britannia Hotel (Newcastle Airport) definitely is not worth this much. It's a complete rip-off! The only positive comment is that the hotel is within walking distance of the airport.

No air conditioning in the room, but a fan was provided. The rooms were alright in terms of cleanliness.

Great location , fantastic staff sadly let down by the lack of heating and the tired looking rooms.

A hotel badly in need of investment. Cleanliness is excellent but staff must have a hard time maintaining morale when the fabric of the place has become so dilapidated.

Excellent friendly staff great bar. Yes hotel rooms basic but clean Food very good for the price also great parking for you holiday at a good price

Avoid like the plague, staff stole from my room and no help from hotel just a big cover up. If you have anything if value, please go to another hotel.
