Brio Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Lambeth

Luigi and his family and staff have been nothing but accommodating to us, this restaurant ticks all the boxes of being a VIBE - (Something which is rare in Clapham / Brixton these days with all the young and sterile professionals and ) being tasty - croquetas and bravas are perfect and the staff are wonderful. This place feels like your on holiday in Spain. I've come twice for my birthday and even bought my work colleagues from Shoreditch here too. You don't get places like this anymore in S.W London, we're lucky they moved in.

We arrived with our family to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at 7:05 on the 22 07 2022. We got seated and ordered drinks. Prior to arriving we we were told that they could do a children’s menu upon request. We requested mac and cheese and chicken nuggets and got something different without explanation. After half hour we were asked what we’d like from the menu, after a long long while we realised that other people coming in was getting served before us. It felt like we were being ignored and they served everyone else first, with no explanation or update as to why our food was taking so long. It then dawned on us that we had been waiting for our order for an hour and a half, which was finally served around 8:40 and not what we requested. One steak was rare so we asked for it to be well done, which was requested in the beginning. They brought it back exactly the same like it hadn’t been touched. In conclusion, myself and my family feel like we were invisible and they attended to everyone else who came in after us, and what makes it worse was it wasn’t busy in there, only three or four tables were occupied and the rest were empty. This spoiled our celebration and I will never go to this establishment again. Mr & Mrs Lewis

Restaurant took our booking of which we had made for my boyfriends birthday and when we arrived the restaurant was closed. No call, no email and no sign on the door. I have since contacted the restaurant and have had no reply. Hugely disappointing. Avoid.

Firstly the food was not bad but towards the end of our meal when paying the waiter (old chap late 60's+) began to get a bit strange towards us, asking if we were visiting for a holiday as I had a suitcase on me. He then reappeared with the a folded over receipt from a card machine which said "VOID" - saying my payment had not gone through. Unfortunately for me I did not query this and look at the receipt (clearly one that is used often for this trick) I then paid again. It was only a few days later when I noticed on my bank statement that they had charged me for an identical amount twice. I went back to the restaurant and showed them this, I was surprised that they did not apologise at all. I met the waiter who had served me in my original visit and he told me he is the manager. There was no apology and he began to get quite aggitated, I had to then speak to another guy behind the bar who told me he was the owner. I said I wanted a refund for my duplicated charge, after some discussion between them they finally granted this. It was quite clear to me by now that they were annoyed they had been caught. I asked for my service charge back on original bill - they refused. It is obvious this is a scam they are pulling regularly so I would either avoid this place completely or be sure to pay with cash in future. Would not recommend.

Ended up here after another bar and were not disappointed. Good music with a great atmosphere and staff were great.

We went to Brio last night for drinks with friends. Drinks were outstanding! Especially the mojito, highly recommend. Staff were so lovely. Very accommodating and friendly with big smiles. A great place to go for food and in the evening if you want to dance and have fun with friends. Would definitely be going back.

We went to this place last night and we had the best night ever, the drinks were amazing, the staff were amazing and so lovely made us feel so comfortable and they were so welcoming, such a beautiful place, 100% recommend

Probably say the worst tapas I have ever had. Really bad food. Just tasteless. Chef must have lost his passion. Good service though, nice waiter.

Lovely fresh tapas today and chilled white rioja. Lots of space so well 'socially distanced'. Relaxed and easy meal.

Walked past and wasn’t sure whether this was a bar or restaurant. Came in to a lovely atmosphere, great service and amazing food. Really reasonably priced. Would recommend!! Try here over the Falcon for a chance.

We booked a table for 2 at 8.30 on a saturday at a charming (looking) new Italian restaurant. When we arrived, we were greeted by flashing neon dance floor lights at the back of the restaurant and music so loud my girlfriend and I couldn’t hear each other without shouting. Aside from this, it turned out that the music was being operated by some of the patrons via an iPhone but through a fully club-ready sound system. They looked like they were having fun, singing along at the top of their lungs and urging any other patrons to join in (although we seemed to be the only other patrons) but it wasn’t what we were looking for in a restaurant. This place needs to decide what it is: club, bar or restaurant. I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect to be able to have a conversation during dinner out. Needless to say we cancelled our order and left (a fact the staff didn’t seem too concerned about). The one positive was that the owner (I’m assuming he was the owner) seemed very friendly when we arrived.

I first came in Brio for a Sunday lunch as couldn't find any space in the local pubs...and I was SO glad I did. Amazing food, great service and you get to hear all the amazing stories from the owner. He has been in the business for 50 years and has rubbed shoulders with some incredible big names. I can not recommend this place enough...I've been back 6 times and tried pretty much everything on the menu. The tiger prawns, rib-eye steak, sea bass, halloumi and spag bol are out of this world. Its my definite go-to place and I would recommend it to anyone. They are also planning a whole event series with live music, performance, poetry and everything in-between. Definitely my fave place for miles!!!

Had the double lamb chops with potatoes and green beans. Absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed their 2 for 1 cocktails. Finally a place that knows how to make nice margaritas 🍸. Great service too! Highly recommend! Will definitely return. 😊😊

Capitato per caso alloggiando nei pressi, il locale è bello accogliente la proprietà cordiale gentile e di grande disponibilità, sarà che sono italiano come loro, ma ci è stato subito feeling, pasta cucinata a regola d’arte, ed anche felicemente assaporato il miglior hamburger del quartiere....piacevolmente sorpreso, è stato il mio riferimento durante tutto il mio( lungo ) soggiorno Londinese!
