Best spot for breakfast or lunch in the city. Huge menu and every dish I've tried has been delicious. Staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable

Great basic breakfast without frills

Good food done well. It's not fancy, but what it is is reasonably priced, well made food served by nice and friendly staff - what more can you ask for.

Went in yesterday morning, 2nd Feb cracking looking cafe / restaurant got big breakfast. Cold sausage dry mushrooms, one bacon rasher was perfect other one stone cold . Said on sign outside new york times said was the best breakfast in ulster. The didn't get what I got. It would have been great if sausage and bacon were hot . Giving it a 3 star for the server who was brilliant. Sorry no pics . Will definitely give it another try though as sometimes small mistakes can happen. 🤔

The food and the service were very delicious, we had an omelet, the dishes are very generous, there is a lot of food, if you don't eat too much, share a plate.

Never a bad service experience or a bad meal in this place. Was actually saying the other day the lady with blonde short bob hair, is very tuned in... Always asks about allergies, preferences, tailored tastes in your meals never misses anything thay sometimes you would even forget to mention and it is accommodated to perfection every time. The food is top notch everytime! I love that they serve an all day breakfast menu. I love a light lunch and it's rare to find a cafe that stays open long enough and serves light food choices for lunch. Also at a reasonable price for centre of Belfast. Highly Recommend!

Honestly just had my worst meal I’ve ever had in Belfast. Fish and chips, shouldn’t be that hard but wow did they mess it up. Came in two tiny slices, completely burnt and hardly any fish. It was straight up eating bread and batter. It was disappointing and disgusting. I had two bites and just sat there eating the chips. My partner ordered the chili chicken and he said it was just fine, didn’t fee well 45 min later. Too many places here, this was a big waste of money and time. Disgusting.

Was very disappointed with what was called a large fry and wasn't offered anything in place of the item I didn't want. Staff were friendly enough, but I don't think I'll be having a large fry again if I decide on eating there again

Really nice food and good service here tonight. All staff were very friendly and food was fresh and tasted great. Expect a small wait as the place is popular but defiantly worth the wait. Would recommend.

Absolutely solid food and service. A breakfast wrap the morning after a show at the Telegraph will save your life.

We had steak and chicken combo, but the steak was the worst and upset my stomach all day. My friend ordered his medium rare, and I requested medium to well, but they both came out the same—poor-quality cuts of steak. They should just remove it from the menu. The chicken had a burnt taste, not like charcoal, just burnt. The chips would have been great if they hadn't been half cold. Since the place was packed, We went in cause it was packed but I would not return from what I got

Good old fashioned cafe with booths inside. Went at 11am for breakfast was busy but didn't have to wait. Had medium fry 9 50£ with pot of tea. The quantity was more than ample and better still delicious. There is also a comprehensive menu. Enjoy I will be back

The food is good, plentiful and comes quickly. Not great coffee, but not bad coffee either. Definitely worth the walk and money.

The smoked cod was interesting, I liked it but it was just a bit on the salty side. The peas were soggy unfortunately. Very healthy portions though. Decent prices for what you’re getting. Staff were lovely and attentive even though it was quite busy. The place itself is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and tidy, and wasn’t loud even though it was busy and music was playing. Not sure I’d come back, but it was nice enough.

Very accommodating staff, friendly atmosphere, always busy, but wouldn't take my big fella anywhere else, he loves their all day fry. Lol

I've been going to Brights for over 20 years now. They have the best chips in the city centre. They have a very wide menu now too. Unfortunately their increased menu and move a few years ago have also massively increased their prices. If it wasn't quite so expensive would have been 5 stars. That said I keep going back!

Massive piece of fish and chips. Exceeded my expection in many ways. First I thought the restaurant was faily small but of course not it's decent size with over 20 tables, I believe. Second, I thought they served only fish and chips but it turned out they served many food! There were many more and I will let you guys find out! I loved my fish and chips!

Best Fry in town and don't skip on the portions like some other restaurants in the city centre.

Had the starter, Garlic Mushrooms over Sourdough, Salad...was fabulous 😍. Also, chose the fish and chips, with a wiii bit of chips I was told. Holy cow, that was a Big plate of food! Good food. I recommend.

Wonderfully chippy restraunt, which offers much more than chips! Had a fantastic pizza, if ahm honest, didn't need the chips!! Soup & sarnie deal was great as well, the filling was voluptuous!! Place was mobbed, so, you know it's good.

I visited brights today, I ordered cheese burger and chips, tasty enough, but the price £16-50 absolutely ridiculous the prices in here have gone through the roof, an ordinary cheese burger and chips at this price is unacceptable. Will not be back.

Called in today. Been before and it's usually pretty good but today I ordered a fry, asked for it without black pudding or beans. Asked for maybe extra mushrooms or something since I wasn't having the black pudding/beans. Waitress said no problem but then it comes out with both the black pudding and beans and no mushrooms at all. Not only was the order wrong but it wasn't even that warm. The tea had been brought to the table 20 minutes before the fry and as a consequence it was also luke warm. They advertise the place as the best fry in Belfast but unfortunately it fell way short of that.

Friendly staff and good food with value for money. There is usually a queue but it moves quickly because of the efficient staff. Highly recommend this place

We'd a sneaky breakfast, filling, nice, and surprisingly quick as the place was packed out. It's a traditional Belfast greasy spoon but in a nice way.

Family friendly atmosphere, you're seen straight away and not left waiting. Food is delicious and potion sizes are great! The chcienn curry and Cajun chicken are favs! Staff are lovely!

This place is not fancy - more of a diner style cafe - but the large breakfast fry was excellent and the service was friendly. They missed an egg off my portion and it came within 30 seconds, once I had alerted the waitperson. The coffee was fine, although the cappuccino came without chocolate on top.

Was looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat on a trip to Belfast, wanted to try a traditional Ulster Fry. So we came across Bright’s, there was a queue, which is usually a good sign, we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Now to the Ulster Fry, living up to the New York Post banner outside, it’s one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Belfast, reminiscent of my Grandmothers efforts. Good quality ingredients, cooked well, Heinz beans which is a big plus, proper tea in a pot, at least 3 cups. We also tried the stack, which was a revelation, soda bread, topped with bacon, then potato cake, then sausages, a pancake, topped with 2 eggs - something I’ll be recreating at home. Staff were very friendly and polite, prices are very reasonable, well worth a visit.

Best wee place in Belfast for all sorts of food. Mine personally fry or chips egg beans. Ask rest of family they hav their favs of the menu.

£3.50 for a tin of coke in a glass is a bit much for anywhere. There's a good selection of food and decent quality. All-day breakfasts need some work, which is quality wise. The bacon, waffles, and mushrooms are cheap quality and poorly prepared. The eggs were spot on

Always very busy but are quick to be seated, staff are lovely and very helpful. Fish and chips are the best!! Big portions. Always hit here anytime in town shopping or if I just fancy fish and chips I just come into town for this.

The food was amazing, made fresh and great value for money. The staff were very attentive and were very helpful. I would advise anyone to try the carbonara, it is amazing and made fresh, as is all the food served.

We went there for brunch, very busy and well known place in town. Decent food service and it did well for us, good portion sizes and served fresh. We ordered southern fried chicken sandwich with salad, fish & chips with coffee.

Sliced chicken supper with pepper sauce and chip and tabacco onions was perfect.

A really friendly place that does a great breakfast. At busy times you may have to wait for a seat, but it is worth it as the food is lovely!
