Visited here on Friday evening and it totally exceeded my expectations. Could not fault the service we received at all, everybody serving was super friendly and professional. Took the time to go through appropriate dishes for my allergies too. The brown butter yoghurt was absolutely sublime we ordered two portions! All of the food was gorgeous and I would recommend to anybody. Really lovely atmosphere and I loved the decor in the restaurant. Thanks for making my friends birthday dinner so fab!

4 of us dined here on a busy Saturday night. Our service was excellent - friendly and attentive. My stand out dishes were the beef tartare, the penelle, the smoked eel potato salad and the pizza like starter. The wines were a little on the funky side for me but it was a fabulous evening and we left very happy

Never experienced such bad service before We arrived 10 minutes in advance, we were ‘told’ to have a drink somewhere else. The people in front of us were allowed to sit at the bar, no problem as the restaurant was full. After arriving at 9:35 PM, 20 minutes after we reserved, they still had to clean and serve the table. We were not ‘allowed’ to sit at the table and had to wait in a corridor where it was overcrowded. The servant/manager/owner or whatever gave anything but a welcome and hospitable feeling. They acted arrogant and unkind, we had to be happy to be able to sit here, never experienced this before. Very bad service, the person in question- short black hair with glasses, very unpleasant. Do not recommend this place. go to the place next door: Mare street market, friendly staff there!

I have been coming to Bright for years now as it's my local and I quite like this place. I particularly love their wine selection and the fact that they allow dogs in their high seating area. The food is not bad either. Alas, if you are a vegetarian, you are usually stuck with the same old options that rarely change and always consist of a pasta main. Please! You can do better than that.

The root of this operation being wine, the wine list is of course very interesting and also not badly priced for London, but does the food live up to the drinks? Well, in part. The menu features several appealing dishes to share. The first ones we got were impressive: a superb gazpacho with peach, the delicious and rare to see "panelle" (a Sicilian type chickpea fritters), some lovely raw vegetables with a tasty tahini. So far, full marks. Then a couple of slightly duff dishes. A pancetta salamata was a bit stringy and the accompanying fine beans also had a strange texture. And pansotti (Ligurian pasta parcels) were severely undercooked -and we like our pasta al dente- and bland, with the advertised walnuts almost undetectable. A fregola with pork sausage divided opinions at the table, but I liked it, while the broth was not the most refined, the flavour was intense and the dish satisfying. All in all a good experience, thought I feel they could step up a notch. Food prices are on the high side for the simple cuisine but not unreasonable. Service is friednyl and well-meaning though not the most focused.

Treated to a meal here by my brother-in-law; his daugher is local and said this was "the best place around here". Friendly staff but very busy (Friday evening). Menu is rather confusing as it's supposed to be "small plates" but is laid out in a conventional style - prices are rather eye-popping for the "mains" (well over £30) but it's clear later that each main plate will feed around 3 people if supplementing with other smaller/side dishes etc: we had the guinea-fowl and iberico pork presa which was plenty, with around 5 "starter" plates between us. Food is very good quality and reminded me a lot of Moro years ago - i.e. a definite Spanish / med accent. We got out for around £70 each inc. service and wine, which is reasonable for food of this quality in London. Very buzzy / loud - not one for the starched tablecloth brigade.

Hands down cannot think of another place I would love to visit more than bright, one can say it brings a bright smile to my face whener I think of it. Gnocco Fritto is one the faves, pranws,s ham, mussels, corn with honey butter, I could go on and on, just got.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant. Cannot fault the food, wine or service. We sat at the bar and also enjoyed the atmosphere, music and restaurant design. Very cool and relaxed vibe which made for a pleasant evening. Thank you !

The food was, on the whole, fairly good, nothing exceptional and a bit bland but some nice ideas and presented well. The main issue I had was with the service and whilst I will concede that my group was not the easiest to serve with a variety of ages, tastes and expectations, I still feel that if you are a restaurant targeting and charging for a higher end of clientele then your staff need to be able to deal with higher expectations too. Our waiter, also a manager, attempted to indulge us but the frustration was clear to see on his face throughout the meal and when we had finished eating we had the bill unceremoniously dumped on our table with no option of coffee or digestif and were told in no uncertain terms that we needed to leave because the next booking needed the table. Another reviewer has mentioned the slow service and this was our experience too and when you have had to wait far too long for every course, it felt a bit much to be told we didn’t have time for coffee at the end. The waiter told us that this was because they were ‘very busy’ but IMO if you can’t handle a Saturday night during socially distanced times when you’re at half capacity then you really have no business running a restaurant

Small restaurant in Hackney near Netil360, with a daily menu. If the squid sandwich is on yours, get it - it’s genuinely phenomenal, in that really good street food vein. Everything else was nice and the waiters were really friendly and attentive.

Sat at the bar early one evening. Staff are Anglo-Australian and very friendly. The food is simple yet stunning. Totally delicious. Crudités, deep-fried pizza, coco beans and quail, home made chocolate.....all fabulous. Recommended.

He estado en la sucursal de Upper Street un par de veces y es indiscutiblemente mi restaurante favorito en Londres. La mantequilla es ahumada y batida, que es un placer para empezar. El personal es muy amable y te ayudará con recomendaciones sobre los especiales si te quedas atascado. Tanto pensamiento y esfuerzo van en todo. El repollo ennegrecido es uno de los lados más sabrosos que he tenido y el queso coliflor con paloma rallada también es una delicia. Los cortes de comida cambian cada día a medida que obtienen la carne fresca todos los días, por lo que si bien el menú cambia ocasionalmente, la experiencia es diferente cada vez, ya que se puede comer la carne de cerdo una vez y la siguiente. De hecho, creo que los lados son mejores que algunos de los platos de carne, que a veces pueden ser un poco complicados, pero generalmente hay algo que es diferente y lo suficientemente especial como para que regrese y le dé 5 estrellas.

Sat outside - I picked a shady seat - and had Menemen breakfast and coffee. Both were perfect. The place is chilled and friendly. Read the paper for a while and watched the World go by. Perfect spot.

We went there during their opening month in November 2014. It was busy. There were 20 of us and the staff struggled to cope with our orders. Some food was excellent some poor and some never arrived. I had hoped that things would improve but the restaurant is now closed
