Brickie's Pie & Mash in Southend-on-Sea

Excellent Pie n Mash, best in Southend. Courteous staff, food hot and plenty. Good pie, excellent mash, lovely liquor.

I agree with an earlier review, this is the best Pie and Mash outside of London. The service is very good, the guy serving, sorry forget his name, is very friendly. We have tried every restaurant, and pie and mash in the Southend area. and this is far superior to any of the others. we have tried them all. Pensioners get a reasonable discount. The restaurant is in the Victoria shopping centre on the lower ground on the way out.

Although I couldn't find it to start with ( it's on the lower ground floor of the victora plaza-near bus stops) when we did arrive we had one of the best pie mash & liquor I've ever eaten outside of east London! There is a multi story car park so easy access if that's all you go for which you absolutely should.! Great price and delicious food what's not to like.

Wasn't planning on visiting, but as my husband, dog and I were off for a morning stroll this weekend, he asked if I wanted a bacon sandwich. Expecting him to pop in and order a takeout as we had the dog, I was pleasantly surprised to find a sign on the door saying they were dog friendly! We order two coffees and two bacon sandwiches, which came to £10 which I thought was reasonable. Staff were really friendly and the venue was clean. The bacon was nice and thick, as was the bread. Now that I know they are dog friendly I can't wait to visit for pie and mash!

ordered for my parents , Good food , Good Mash , Good pies . My 80 year old parents said it passed all the tests and now i have to get them a regular oder.

Three of us turned up,ordered & enjoyed. 😂 Clean, traditional small but ideal pie & mash café . LoadsaChoice of eels,Pie & Mash combinations + other niceties . Pleasant counter service & nice place to try Docker's Nosh from centuries past at cheap prices with great traditional flavours .It's all there. Shellfish too. We'll be going again soon but will probably order home delivery too. Can't wait to try their own salt beef beigels next time.
