First time visit today & was pleasantly surprised. This wasn't the usual Sunday roast that we've come to expect, it was definitely a cut above. The roasts were accompanied by a lovely selection of different freshly cooked vegetables which included roast butternut squash & braised red cabbage. It was so nice not to have the usual cabbage, carrots & peas. The service was very good too. All the waiting staff were friendly & professional. Will definitely be coming again.

The service was above and beyond, and all the employees were extremely accommodating with all of our needs. To top it off, the food was fantastic.

I have eaten at B&K on many occasions, yesterday I made the mistake of ordering the mac n cheese, main dish with bacon at £14.50…..it was never a large portion but the the dish has shrunk CONSIDERABLY, definitely not worth the money, it wouldn’t have satisfied a Child, I wish I’d taken a picture but it was gone about 3 minutes after starting it….it was delicious but I certainly don’t think I’ll be ordering it again , my partner had the burger, with bacon jam, he said it was average at best and we should try somewhere else next time, it’s a shame as it’s a nice venue

The staff were very good as I booked initially for 7pm and they kept the table for us until for when we eventually arrived: 8pm! The home brewed beer was very nice and good to see that you do that. The staff were attentiveand when a mistake was made were quick to amend.

We were very disappointed with our experience here. I chose this as it was a microbrewery and we like our beer and the menu was acceptable. I did book a table. I phoned ahead as we'd be 5 mins late due to taxi and road closures. When we got there, there was a question mark over our table but we were seated. The service was slow but we ordered drinks. I had an email for a free half of their own brew so got that and 2 other home brew pints. The beer was nice but so cold!!! We ordered food. Pork rib and rare ribeye with no pepper sauce. When the food came it looked nice. But I had pepper sauce. Thankfully a separate jug so I left it. After dinner we ordered dessert. My cheesecake was dry and tasteless but the sticky toffee pudding was nice. We then ordered 2 more drinks. Different from our first choice. We waited.. and we waited. Then 2 drinks came but they were not what we ordered. Then we got what we ordered... Well, sort of. I ordered a pint of strawberry sour. I got a can because they didn't have what was on the menu. Time was getting on and we needed to go so asked for the bill. We'd been charged for the "free' half, the peppercorn sauce, and more insultingly a 10% service charge. Er... What service?! Please don't get me wrong, the waitresses were lovely but clearly overwhelmed and under staffed. We had waited so long and our order hadn't been correct. I asked for the discrepancies to be rectified and for the service charge to be removed. It was a shame. The food and the beer was nice. It was just let down by the service ...

Our overall review score is not a reflection on the service which was great. There were 8 of us for lunch. Of our order two people ordered main portions of mac’n’cheese and we’re disappointed with the very small portions (side plate size) which was not value for money. One person queried this and the plate was taken away and a more reasonable size portion received. One person ordered the lentil burger but received a fake meat burger instead. Such a shame that you couldn’t provide the advertised dish. A fourth person ordered the pork belly rib and was amazed, given the cut of meat, that it was dry, hard and pretty inedible. They queried this and received a full refund. Don’t think we’ll be returning for food

Food was very nice, table service needs looking at though, we had to ask to place our order, we didn't get asked if we wanted any drinks, my husband went to the bar himself.

Beer good as usual. I understand that it is the place nearest the coach station and travelers maybe aren't welcome. But please don't have the doorman asking what is inside the suitcase as that could be rude.I took it as humorous moment but in future please just to yes or no. :)

My son booked a table for Mother’s Day at 2pm. The food was really poor quality and was not hot. I ordered cauliflower cheese which was cold and it was just cauliflower with coagulated cheese sprinkled on top! The meat was beef and it was inedible so I left it as I had already sent the cauliflower cheese back so was not up for further whispering by the servers who had quite a discussion when I asked for hot cauliflower cheese! There was no interest from anyone why I had left my beef and received a shocked expression from the server when I did not want to leave a tip. I would not recommend as this place is style over substance and £82 for three meals and 3 drinks of such poor quality was a real damper to this special day. Update: interestingly no comments about my unfavourable review yet comments on positive reviews? Clearly not interested at all about customer experience so pointless having a review page at all. #dobetter

I attended the International womens day brewing event and had a great time. The staff were fantastic and the day was really good fun. We tried 10 beers throughout the day and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. It was also teally interesting to hear about the history women had in brewing. The day was made all the better by our brewers Joe and Walt who made us feel so welcome and kept us entertained during the day. Thanks both.

Lovely pub, well designed, friendly staff and nice and warm. Unfortunately many of our dishes had parts that were cold but should have been warm - the BBQ burnt ends and children's sweetcorn both stone cold. The only vegetable side, winter salad, was raw cold kale with a few other bits and no dressing - it was pretty inedible. Mac and cheese portions were tiny, and even though plain was ordered bacon was put on top (luckily we aren't vegetarian). Fish had a slightly weird taste possibly from the beer used in the batter, and the batter was overcooked. It's a shame as it's a great location and environment. We will only come for drinks in the future.

Had a meal for two and attended a beer tasting session for my husbands birthday. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Joe the brewer was very knowledgable and had great interaction during the session. Really enjoyed and will be visiting again.

We went there at the weekend for a Beer and Whisky Masterclass and can't heap enough praise on it. Joe, the Master Brewer was really knowledgeable and friendly and made the experience brilliant with his info. The Beer was lovely and the Whisky 4 out of 5 were great (bin the Laphroig). The measures were generous but just right given the time frame, much more and you could struggle afterwards We ate afterwards and the food was excellent as well. We grabbed another beer to go with it and it was a beautiful pint. All in all a great experience and one ill remember for a long time.

We visited this brewery restaurant on what turned out to be a really busy night which probably detracted from the experience. That said, staff were friendly and engaging, food was well priced, and there were plenty of options to choose from. If you're in the area, check it out.

phoned up relatively last minute for a table and the staff were able to squeeze us in despite it being pretty busy - the staff and food are most definitely the reason for being so popular. I was served by a lovely girl called Bella, who gave great recommendations and served us at the table (makes a lovely change from having to order at the bar). The sunday lunch was perfect and all the staff were so kind and attentive for such a busy sunny sunday. Will definitely be back soon!

We couldn't sit in the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation, but only two tables were occupied and the rest were free. That was not nice. The man at the bar was very nice and helpful. We ordered fish and chips for the baby and it was not a good choice. The fish was tasteless and the coating was greasy, as if the fat in which it was fried was poorly prepared. Burger and steak ok, tasty meat. Good beer, highly recommended.

A lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff. The Sunday roasts are very nice and my only gripe was it could have been a bit warmer when it arrived at the table. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars Carl

Burned Yorkshire's, not all of the vegetarian options were available awful cabbage, the kitchen was closed without notice and so my party was unable to order dessert. Very poor. Can do much better for the same price in the city.

It's a nice spacious pub in a pleasant setting, and the choice of beers is good. However the food leaves something to be desired. The menu is small and unimaginative. Chips were tough and chicken was also.

Food and service top notch. Turned up without a booking, found a table with waitress service. Food served very quickly. Pleasant staff. Ribeye steak was one of the best I’ve had. Great selection of beer too.

The service was slow (not too busy day) and ordering was equally bad. I couldn't get the drink I wanted (non alcoholic) but they offered me literal apple juice and squash. Naturally, I didnt want any of those (I am not a child -though if you like these then I have no problem with that) so they had to issue me a refund. Little to none remorse was shown We sat outside and no one came to clean up the glasses from the previous visitors before us. Expected more at least in terms of friendliness.

Ordered via app, after 15 minutes of waiting no drinks had arrived so went to the bar to see where our drinks were. Staff not making our drinks so had to ask for them and mentioned that we had ordered via app.and waited. Then, after waiting 40 mins for our food we had to ask a member of staff where our food was. He responded with 5/10 more minutes but if it’s an emergency he’ll speak to chef to get it out quicker!! Finally our food came and we asked for more drinks, only to be told we had to order via the app or go to the bar!! Cheeky really after all the waiting we had done and collecting our own drinks!! Staff weren’t rushed off their feet and many tables were empty! On the bright side the Sunday lunch was very nice but staff need to be more attentive and a little customer Service wouldn’t go amiss

Had a fabulous roast chicken. The gravy was delicious! I tried to order the food via their website, but payment was flagged up as "suspicious activity"! When I went to lorderr and pay at the bar, the card was accepted without any problem. What stood out was the 6 x one-third pint beer sample board. This allowed me to assess a wide range of different beers withoput have to "sink" a half or full pint for each. A brilliant idea!

We were there yesterday (visiting from London) and even though it was a rugby day and very full, the service was really excellent! Good honest food as you’d expect. Deffo recommend

Really needs a good clean. The windows behind your head when you sit are like a abandoned house, with the filth and dead flies. I do wonder about the kitchen?

Did the Gin Masterclass with Anya. Fantastic experience. Learnt so much even though we had done similar things before. Great atmosphere and very clean pub! Lots of different seating areas depending on your mood. Lovely outdoor area too. Food was scrummy. Dog friendly too! Cannot believe I haven’t been here before! Will defo be returning soon!

After two of our party ordered rare steaks, they came back medium well. We sent one back and it came back even worse than before. The southern fried chicken burgers are so peppery you cannot even taste the chicken.

Having never done anything like this before, me and my best friend thought we would give it a go for our joint birthday celebration on Saturday 13th of January. Our masterclass was presented to us by Seb, who was absolutely fantastic throughout. Very friendly, funny and professional. This experience did not disappoint and I have already encouraged others to try it for themselves. The beer was fantastic, the food was impeccable and all staff in the establishment were all extremely helpful, courteous and professional. As stated previously, Seb made the experience a lot more enjoyable simply down to his character and energy. Thank you very much indeed

Server asked for the bill to be paid even before the food was served. Despite this, and the fact that this person only took our drink order, with another colleague taking the food order, they still thought it was a good idea to include a nearly £4 tip on their rushed bill! Needless to say they didn't get it. Not the best service on the day...

We had the brewery experience with Joe, and it was fantastic! Loads of great stories, context and history; this guy really knows his stuff! Paired with an excellent selection of beers, this is a fantastic experience, and highly recommended!

Booked a table and 3 course meal for 4 people 3 weeks in advance of NYE. Despite choosing in advance what we required from set menu only 3 starters arrived. No acknowledgment that there was only 3 and 4 people so we asked for 4th...

Booking a table was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The allergy menu was useful to determine what was dairy free. Alas the choice of dairy free dishes was woeful: about three in total, and NO deserts. Why do all the Sunday roasts contain dairy products?

We had our company Christmas Do here this past weekend. The staff were really helpful and welcoming, with great communication to ensure we had a great time. There were 41 in our party and they gave us our own private space which was fantastic. The food was excellent and the service was efficient. Everyone I have spoken with from the event has shared in this feeling and would gladly visit again next year. Thank you :)

I went with my son on a cold Monday evening while waiting for one of the buses to arrive from London. It was a lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming, and very warm, cozy and comfortable inside!

Rick and his team looked after us for our Christmas party and the service was impeccable. We were given heaters, blankets and hot water bottles for the pretty outside area we’d reserved. Despite the raging weather outside we were warm, safe and had a wonderful time. Thanks Rick and team. We had the best evening!

Had sunday lunch yesterday. Food was good. Prawn starter. Enjoyed but seemed a bit overpriced for £7 for 4 prawns. Enjoyed the main and good to see a excellent variety of vegetables. Only disappointment with the service was I went and asked one of the servers for a pint to our table. She directed me to the bar even though I was clearly eating in restaurant. This pint was added to my bill as requested but then I go and have a service charge for a pint I had to wait at the bar and fetch myself. Also had to ask for the bill repeatedly. Apart from that all good and would return in future.

Beautiful atmosphere,great hoppy hour deals and food is always delicious! The manager Izzy was extra attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were well look after. They are also very dog friendly which makes the pub even better!

Had an Xmas 3 course meal on 2nd Dec for a party of 2. Overall it was a very lovely evening. Great atmosphere and service, but the main course wasn't served very hot, and was lacking taste/quality which I have no doubt if I would have asked, the staff would have remedied. But this is why I rated food down. The outdoor seating with the fires and heaters were perfect, there was offers of hot water bottles and blankets also!...this made up for the main course not quite being up to expectations. I already plan to go back!

A sizeable brewpub and restaurant with a good selection of beers - some brewed on the premises. The food menu is very burger+fries oriented, but it's good for all that.

the food was great and good size portions of everything for the price. it would have been a five star but the roast potatoes needer longer in the oven or a different potatoe used, i love my roast potatoes they make the meal for me.. the three hour time slot for a sunday meal and a chat with friends was fine and we were not preasured to leave. there is an indoor section where you can have dogs with you as well as undercover outdoor. we will be making use of the indoors when we go again. the park is walking distance away great for a doggy stroll before dinner..

Exceptional food paired with exceptional service. Catrin was the friendliest helper with an abundance of patience with our allergies and dietary requirements. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Atmosphere was electric.

Come in for Sunday dinner today and was seated by a lovely lady , took my order and seated me , this arrogant young man told me that I wasn't ment sit where I did ? So told him I was seated by the lady, then told me this is the reason there is unit and some metal thing to stop people coming through . I observed his work while I was there , and noticed he had no personal skills with customers, and was very rude , this company must have lost around 20-23 customers while I was there , there was loads of room as no one was on any tables in the restaurant. He classes him self as hosting customers 🤣 , maybe you need to put him in the kitchen to wash up or your company will not be going for long . Very nice taste on the food , so well done chef , one thing I picked up was it was a bit on the cold side , but I think that was down to be a bit cold in the restaurant

Amazing time had by all! We had our Christmas party at Brewhouse and Kitchen and wasn't it a cracker! (sorry couldn't help myself). Everyone from work had an absolutely brilliant time, there were a lot of us but everything arrived hot and tasted great and the staff were brilliant. Our server had a great sense of humour too, which had us all laughing. Don't get me started on how good all the ale is I'll be here until Christmas! We will definitely book again next year.

Brilliant night! We had such a great host, alovely young man, Ash I think his name was. He really took care of our table all night. Very funny, made us all laugh while seating us, great manners and just lovely customer service overall. The food was delicious too! Not one complaint!

This was our first visit to Cardiff and the Brewhouse. Our waitress was helpful and patient. Our beers and spirits were great. Our dishes (we ordered 7) were all delicious.

Had an ok meal here previously but this time it was awful. Initially we had someone else's food served to us. When our food eventually came it was not great; veg was inedible, chips were dry and my son left his kids meal. We all ended up with indigestion later on that evening. To top it all off a drunk person from the bar almost went straight through the table behind us, knocking drinks everywhere. We were also not able to pay by card as their machine was down so had to queue at the bar where we were ignored for a good 15 minutes! All in all I would avoid like the plague, there are lots nicer places to eat close by.

Excellent Sunday roast with extremely generous portions and the ales were very good. The service everyone was good but Bella was exceptional, friendly, helpful and efficient.

a fantastic venue for live music! great selection of bands and great staff that look after us as a band performing there!

This spot was within walking distance of our caravan site. It was warm and cosy and we spent a couple of hours enjoying their stout and lager. There was a log fire burning, the atmosphere was great and the staff were really friendly.
