Brewers Fayre in Taunton Deane

Went in for breakfast and was told not open to the public which I think is rubbish only open for the premier inn guests there was only 2 people in there won’t make a go of it like that will not return

Sadly the restaurant part of the Premier Inn had been sold so had very very limited food & drink, after a long drive we did not feel like going out anywhere

Went on xmas day. We had booked/ordered early as requested for xmas day meals. We were seated quickly but that was the only thing positive that day. 40 minutes later we were told about a complimentary drink that is available at the bar for those who booked. Was told nothing else about other drinks or progress on our food. 30 minutes after that we were asked are we ready for our mains, to which we said no we are still waiting on our starters! We said we've got a diabetic gentleman here that needs his food ASAP otherwise his sugars will drop too low and he could go into a diabetic coma. 5 minutes later a bowl of complimentary chips was given for the gentleman. 10 minutes later our starters came. No one had asked or poured any wine that's supposed to be included with the meals. Mains: We ended up waiting for an hour before we were told to then go to the carvery section and que up for the xmas meal. My mother didn't order the carvery, she opted for the salmon option. So by the time we finally came back to the table with the carvery dinners (20 mins later as there was a long que) she was still waiting for her salmon. The poor lady was still waiting 20 minutes after that, by then we finally managed to get hold of a member of staff to tell them that the lady was still waiting on her salmon dinner ( what were they doing, catching the salmon fresh)!! The carvery people were almost finished with their dinner when the lady finally got her salmon. When she was only half way through her meal she was asked if she was finished, just because she had stopped for a few moment (as some people do have a break for a few moments when eating a big meal than what they are used to). She was finding it difficult to eat. As for the main people with the carvery, they did not enjoy their meal. Roast parsnips, brussel sprouts, roast potatoes, carrots and peas were under cooked, the yorkshire puddings were like card board, and the turkey was tasteless . Oh and there was still no complimentary wine that was supposed to be included with the meal. The only thing we did enjoy was the cauliflower cheese. Pudding: we ended up waiting another 40 minutes before we were asked if we were ready for our desserts as they finally cleared our plates from the mains and starters! 15 minutes after that it came out. We except that xmas day is a busy time for the members of staff and that there could be some delays, but this was ridiculous and such a poor service. This was supposed to be a treat for my mither who always cooks us roast dinner. For once we wanted her to have a nice relaxing xmas day without having to cook for once. But this experience completely spoilt it. If we had known it was going to be that bad we'd have booked somewhere else or even stayed at home for a nicely cooked roast. We will not be booking xmas dinner here again!

Possibly our worst restaurant experience ever. Food burnt beyond recognition. 1.5 hours and still hadn't had everything we ordered. Restaurant service - terrible Soft play - decent

Food was delicious, great value for all you can eat as well. Staff were friendly with a good sense of humour. Only minor complaint is wish the food was help yourself instead of cooked to order.

Popped in today for lunch with my daughter. Greeted by Roxanne with a smile, shown to a table to look at the menu. Quick , polite , helpful service . Delicious food. Well cooked and brought out to us quickly. We then had a new waitress Piper. Very helpful and polite. Can't fault our visit. Highly recommend a visit before it sadly closes. A great loss to taunton and brewers fayre. This is one of the nicest ones we visit.

Absolutely vile lady working behind bar, dark hair, mid / late 30’s. Out for lunch with my whole family for my mums birthday. This lady working was rude from the start, to each individual family member going up to order. She was unfriendly, snappy and didn’t seem to care to be helpful and clearly didn’t want to be there. We all stayed in good spirits as it was my mums birthday meal so ignored the moodiness. When it was my turn to order ( I was last ) she was extra snappy with me, it seemed like she was getting more and more irritated and finally lost it with me - even though I did absolutely nothing wrong. I asked to restart my order as I wanted to pay for something separately which she said I couldn’t. I hadn’t yet paid so I was confused to why I couldn’t start my order again, she said it was all put into the machine already and she’d need to void it. I politely said - I just want to start again and my husband will come up and order his, I hadn’t paid anything. It was becoming a bit awkward and uncomfortable, my sister came up and asked if I was ok and also the manager came near by, I told my sister she wouldn’t let me redo my order which she then started to get really funny with me saying I was lying, saying she never said that. I stayed calm but obviously stuck up for myself as the way she was speaking to me was disgusting. I told her she was being really rude and could she not speak to my that way as my 8 year old son was next to me ( and he suffers with anxiety so I knew it would be making him feel worried ) by this point she stormed off refusing to serve me and told the manager to deal with me. I said to my sister and the manager ‘ she’s been in a bad mood since we got here and had been rude to everyone ‘ she stormed back, aggressively pointing at me saying ‘ don’t you dare talk about me whilst I’m walking away ‘. The manager had to take her away ( because she was getting so angry and aggressive ). I was in shook that this had happened, and started to get upset as I’m not someone who’s used to being in this situation. Im not a trouble maker, I was in such a good happy mood for my mums birthday, the last thing I wanted was an argument. The manager took me outside to speak to me as I was really upset by it all - he said that her behaviour was unacceptable and that she wouldn’t be dealt with but it was busy so he couldn’t deal with her right there and then. Me and my husband wanted to leave / didn’t fancy eating but we stayed as it was my mums birthday. The manager gave my kids free food, and we just ordered ourselves a drink. That one lady ruined my day, and my mums birthday for me. She shouldn’t be in that type of job if she can’t give good customer service. I get we all have bad days but I wouldn’t never dare to talk to someone the way she did to me, especially seeing as I did absolutely nothing to warrant her behaving that way.

The staff are all very friendly and the food has been great for the 3 weeks I've been staying in the next door hotel. Definitely one of the better Premier Inn associated restaurants.

Lovely happy staff, very helpful. Great choice of meals. We were staying at the Premier Inn next door. They booked our time for a meal. Seating was prompt, but you placed your order at the bar, paying at the same time. There was not too long await considering they were fairly busy. There was a small mistake with my order that resolved very quickly with no fuss. The gentleman dealing with our order offered me the correct dish I had ordered and also a reimbursement for the mistake which I was not expecting. I was happy with receiving the dish I had ordered, but I turned down the reimbursement. He insisted he wanted to give me the reimbursement, but I did not take it. I am not the sort of person to do this as there was absolutely no need. I was happy with things as they were. I know others may have kicked up a fuss and snatched his hand off at the offer. But there really was no need in my mind. All our dishes were tasty and plenty on the plate. If or when I return to Taunton, I will definitely return to O'bridge Brewers fayre for my meals. Staying at the Premier Inn, you can also get meal deals, saving money. Perfect all round. 5* service

We are staying in the area and we went for a meal at Brewers, recommended by several people as somewhere good for kids. As a mother of 6, this sounded fabulous and I was not disappointed. Our server, Hannah, was very honest with us about wait times due to being short staffed, and then when I got to the counter, a bit bewildered having to order for 5 children, she took the time to walk me through the menu to get me the best deals. Hannah was amazing from start to finish. We will come back!

Bradley from this establishment needs a standard ovation for making me feel like an absolute queen. And let me tell you that the Food and drink is absolutely out of this world. Fantastic staff and quality food and drink ir definitely gets my seal of approval 👌🏻

We visit this Brewers Fayre regularly with our students from My Day Care Services. The service we get every week from the staff members is incredible, they always accommodate to our needs in respects of seating us when we are often a large group with different abilities. They allow us to take as much space as we need and are always patient when we are ordering and making payment as each student pays individually which often takes up more time than usual.

Zoe went above and beyond with her customer service helping me read the menu as I struggle to read would definitely recommend

This is a good location for breakfast dining, all staff were very pleasant to talk to and accommodating with it. A good selection on the menu to suit all tastes at a very reasonable price. will definitely be returning. I would recommend this to others to give it a try.

When we arrived, we were asked if we had any allergies. We replied that we’re vegan so no meat, dairy or eggs. We ordered vegan cheese and onion pies but it was soon obvious that something wasn’t right. I found I was chewing something that clearly wasn’t vegan cheese or onion and there were pieces of something pink in the creamy sauce. We’d been given chicken and pulled ham pie, in a creamy sauce, with a cheese topping. We were given a refund but not much of an apology. 9 years vegan and now we’ve consumed, albeit a small amount, meat and dairy 🤢. My husband and I have chosen a vegan lifestyle but there are many people who have an allergy to dairy and this could have caused a serious reaction. Very disappointed.

Had a quick late dinner as part of a business stay. Food was really well cooked and presented and very tasty. The staff were excellent - Lisa, Bradley, Faith and Piper all very personable, polite and helpful. Lisa even got me a jug of milk for my room so I could have a nicer coffee in the morning. I have the dubious pleasure of staying overnight regularly at premier inns etc as part of my working week. It makes a huge difference on a gloomy Wednesday night to have friendly service from nice people. Thanks.

Came in for lunch and the service was quick and efficient and swiftly taken to our table , the food was delicious and have no complaints whatsoever, I highly recommend for eating and drinking as the staff here are polite and attentive …especially Nuno who was great behind the bar and serving the food
