Brew Monster Tap House in Cardiff

Great locally brewed beer. Loads of choice from west cost IPA to stout. Friendly staff who are happy to let you try before you buy. A lovely place to watch the world go by with a pint.

My family were visiting Cardiff and since the pandemic, I hadn’t really gone out. I went on to Trip Advisor to get an idea and found this hidden gem of a bar to give a try. Although there was very little reviews, the majority seemed to be very positive. The minute my family and I entered Brew Monster Tap House we were greeted with massive smiles from the two gentlemen on the bar. Between the two of them, they showed expert knowledge of craft beer which is fortunate considering neither I or my entire family had any clue. We felt we learned so much from the chats with the staff. The friendliness really left a mark on us so much so we couldn’t stop talking about how friendly the bar and Cardiff is! We were disappointed that there was no food in the bar, but the staff advised this would hopefully change soon. Will definitely visit again! Thank you!

It's dead in here, the beer is flat, the lighting is too bright, the toilets are a state, the music is awful (unironically playing 90's dance), and there's a weird smell of dirty bin juice. There are dozens of bars in walking distance that get it, this company doesn't.
