Gin Masterclass and Tasting. Absolutely FASCINATING. Our all-knowledgable teacher was Moses and he was passionate, informative, patient and made the day for us. The food is to die for - recommend the burger

Susan was great! She made a real effort to get us a super table and cater to every need - we really appreciate her efforts to make sure we had a good evening filled with football and drinks

We did the gin experience with Ria and it was fantastic. What a lovely afternoon learning and socializing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If you want a knowledgeable time and fun, this is it.

Moses was very knowledgeable, I have dome several taste training courses, but learnt a lot from Moses. He is not patronising or pretentious. He was easy to talk to and moved things at your own pace. Being a mature person, I appreciated his polite vocabulary and well groomed appearance.

We had a fab trip and were looked after by Moses! He was so attentive and made our trip so enjoyable by attending to all our requests! Thanks so much Moses!!!

What a fab find! weekend in London and our first night we called in and ended up staying til closing as the atmosphere & the service was fabulous. Jack the barman was so attentive and made our visit. He was really welcoming and let us taste the wine before choosing. Only sorry we didn’t get back there in the Saturday.

An afternoon at a beer tasting, with Amy giving us so many snippets of information about each beer, was a great gift.We tried 8 different beers across the afternoon, and even had a great Burger Meal thrown in as well. Amy knowledgeably told us about each beer as she served us - there were two parties of two so we made some new friends too - and we were encouraged to try beers we'd never have even heard about!I certainly opened my eyes - I thought beer was beer, now I can pick out the different characteristics.Great fun - and a brilliant location even if you're just popping in for a pint!

I booked a beer masterclass for my boyfriend's Christmas present. It was cancelled in January due to lock down (fair enough) and rearranged to May. I got an email the week before stating they couldn't do it because of staffing, so we rearranged again to June.I had a reminder email the day before, and all looked as though it was going ahead. Me and my boyfriend travelled over an hour to get there, and turned up a little before the scheduled time, only to find it was closed and there was nobody in there. There was no signage up to explain why it was shut.I emailed and called but nobody got back to me. At the time of the masterclass 4 more people turned up and were eventually able to get hold of somebody from Brewhouse & Kitchen. They said that it wasn't going ahead as some staff had COVID but that they called us all to cancel the day before. This was a lie because all 6 people booked on to the masterclass had turned up, and not one of us had a missed call, email or message.I had a call about 15 minutes after the class was due to start, I assume to tell me it wasn't on. Too little too late because we had already spent money and time getting there. I understand that during these times this sort of thing happens, but they seriously couldn't have let us know in this day and age, then lied about having contacted us? Needless to say I will not be wasting time, money or effort on this place again.

This was our first trip to London since the pandemic hit and we thoroughly enjoyed itOur hostess was Barbara, a charming and interesting young Italian lady.She took us through the tasting of 5 different gins, adding different fruits and tonics in order to illustrate the marked difference the infusions make to the drinkWe were seated in a booth for four with my wife and I on one side and Barbara on the other. The tasting lasted a little over 2 hours during which we not only improved our knowledge of gin but also of ItalyFollowing the tasting we stayed for a burger from the Academy menu, and a bottle of Malbec which we also thoroughly enjoyed The evening was a great success and excellent value and we definitely recommend it, particularly if you are fortunate enough to have Barbara as your hostess

We had booked the 'beer & food pairing' experience as it sounded really good ! To be honest ... not so much an 'experienceYou choose 3 dishes off the usual menu and they come with 3 matched 1/3 of beer .... yet they all come at the same time.So as each beer is specifically paired to a dish you are either finishing your first beer with your first dish while your other food goes cold or you are leaving your beer to go warm while you move onto your next dish and therefore your next beer. It would make much more sense if 1 dish and 1 beer was brought out at a time in a slower fashion.We had booked a 2 hour slot but it was over in a hour, felt like we rushed but the food was going cold. In reality we could have just walked in at any point and ordered food and asked which beers go with It ... and saved a lot of money as the dishes were 3 for 16.50 and the flight of beer 5.95. So could have easily just spent £20 each instead of the 35pp as the 'welcome beer' that we had before food was a standard lager as they had run out of the usual craft beer and the stout paired with dessert we had already tried as it was paired with one of the dishes. Wouldn't recommend doing the 'experience' as you could easily book a table for food, ask what goes good with the dishes and save a lot of money

We were looking for a pub garden to try & they were all full, except for this one. We were a little bit worried as it was completely empty when we arrived so, as usual, I checked Tripadvisor for reiews. I saw the rating was a 4.2, which is pretty good, so we stayed.The restaurant is very Covid safe. You order online, directly to your table, & the service is very fast & friendly.The restaurant did become busier whilst we were there, so that was a good sign!They offer 3 small plates for £16.50 & there are a lot of options. I had the 'Wild Caught Garlic King Prawns' & they were delicious. I do find that a lot of restaurants overcook their prawns but there were no problems here! I also had the halloumi fries; they were OK but a little bit dry & the sauce they came with (I think it was cajun mayo) was very nice. Thirdly, I had the 'Panko Crumbed Salt & Pepper Calamari'. Some of these were nice but some were a little more rubbery but I'm not sure what causes that.My friend had the 'Steak, Stout & Mushroom Pie' & she advised me to review this as "delicious". Although, her favourite was definitely the 'Mac & Cheese' side.The cocktail were nice, as well. They offer quite a few different ones you don't find in your usual pubs.Overall, I would come here again. It is a little more expensive than your local Wetherspoons but they offer a lot more variety and their customer service is brilliant, too. I would revisit.

Barbara, our Gin connoisseur was absolutely fantastic - so many facts shared about the history of gin as well as a generous supply of 5 various gins! A fantastic evening filled with a very generous amount of 5 gins to taste, and topped up with fantastic knowledge and facts, of which a long time gin-drinker had no idea about. All delivered by Barbara who was the perfect host! Food was also lovely.An all round great evening experience!
