Went to Niche yesterday to give my Mum a wonderful Mothers Day surprise, and the experience did not disappoint. My Mum is newly gluten free and has found it challenging to always have to to ask what's gluten free on the menu, or getting disappointed when she can't eat most things. The place was fully booked (book in advance), but such a friendly atmosphere. We were a family of 4, and the 3 non-allergy eaters enjoyed the food all the same. We ordered the olives, focaccia, and camembert for starters. 2 got the lamb shoulder and 2 the smokey burger. (Sunday Lunch menu) Mum LEFT FULL and is still talking this morning about how amazing it is to eat whatever she wanted on the menu, be full and experience no pain at all. Would highly recommend and will be back for the full menu to try the New York strip. Service was great and attentive. Food was excellent and the fullness of the restaurant speaks for itself! Niche has gained 4 very happy customers :D

This was our second visit and the food seemed to fall a little short of our previous experience (in November 2024) which was a little disappointing (change of chef's maybe) but still very very good. Would still recommend the whole menu. Staff were efficient and friendly. The biggest bugbear of this occasion was that all three of the chairs being used at our table were wobbly and it wasn't an uneven floor causing them to wobble but rather like they were missing screws from the seat itself. It was very distracting during our meal. Maybe find some screws and I screw driver and fix that Niche? We really appreciate a restaurant that we can go to for celebratory meals (first visit was for our anniversary and second visit was for my graduation and birthday), it is wonderful to be able to go somewhere with a coeliac and know that they are not at risk of being ill due to a few stray crumbs or some other form of gluten contamination.

Heaven for celiacs! Everything is gluten free and delicious. Some restaurants comprise from taste to make things gluten free. This restaurant is the opposite! You will never ever tell that the food is gluten free! They do a great job! Onion rings and fried chicken were delicious! For dessert Limoncello tiramisu was heavenly good! Thank you for a great dinner!

Overall, it was a nice experience with good service. However, it did get a bit too warm at a point. Given the price, we expected better quality in food. For sure it’s amazing to have all GF, but the pork for instance was quite dry. Some other things like the mushroom pate were good. It’s a good option, but a bit pretentious.

Great little GF restaurant so no worries if you are a coeliac. A bit off the beaten track although handy for Sadlers Wells. Atmosphere was good. Service a little quick between starter and main but relaxed after that. We inadvertently booked in the "pre theatre" time range (6pm) so they are quite strict on only having the table for 1.5 hours. Would go again but for special treats as a bit pricey.

Even the food that doesn’t need dietary adaptation is badly cooked. The meat was dry, the mashed potatoes had some dirt to crust under the teeth, and the wine was expensive on the menu but cheap in taste. It’s our third time, I always found the place expensive and lazy for what it was, but we enjoyed the starters. Now they changed those, I don’t see why going back.

Food was pretty respectable, but the service was quite poor. We had the salmon, the cheesy donuts, and sourdough and liked them all. The satay didn’t have anything going on so definitely a miss. The main issue is they just…forgot about our main. We ordered everything at once, and saw a bunch of people who arrived after we’d finished our starters get their mains ahead of us. It ended up being a 45 minute wait and they also forgot our side (which we gave up on). All well and good; these things happen, but we then got asked to leave immediately after finishing our main because the next seating was there instead of being able to order anything else. Left quite a sour feeling to have to leave when the delay was on their end.

Great gluten free restaurant. Went for a Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed. The focaccia to share for the table was fantastic, you wouldn’t know it was gluten-free bread. We went to Niche on a week night. The place was practically empty which made it cozy for my husband and I. Although it is a nice restaurant it doesn’t require a dress code. I specifically went to Niche because I’m gluten intolerant. In addition to my intolerance to gluten I have an allergy to another ingredients as well. They were able to accommodate. The appetizer, main meal and desserts were delicious. We totally recommend it. I ordered a soup as a starter, pan fried fish with vegetables for the main and a gf and dairy free chocolate cheesecake for dessert. My husband ordered a chicken pot pie for the main and limoncello tiramisu.

Disappointing from Niche. We were so excited to be able to eat anything from this gluten-free menu, but the food was awful. My burger bun was so dry I couldn't eat it and the burger itself was very dry too, despite ordering it medium. Poached pears were very average and also cold, nothing I couldn't have easily made at home. Service was poor - they even kept my friend, who arrived 10 mins early, waiting outside in the February cold and rain (there were spare tables she could have had a drink at). We were offered 25% discount on the burger but still can't recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing and it was so nice to be able to eat everything on the menu! After the meal, we were bought over two deserts as a birthday treat which was so lovely! In reality I would put zero stars. This restaurant is a scam. I was following a low FODMAP diet prescribed by a nutritionist to help with a lot of digestive issues I have. As soon as I left the restaurant my abdomen was swollen triple in size. I felt so ill, bloated and sore. My partner who doesn't have tummy issues was also bloated and sore. We can only assume that the reason was poor quality ingredients and improper cooking and/or handling of ingredients. Combined with astronomical prices for subpar dishes, this restaurant is downright predatory, taking advantage of those who don't have much choice or freedom when it comes to dining out due to their dietary restrictions. My partner ordered chicken tenders and onion rings, was given a tiny portion of each, felt sick afterwards, and was charged £25 for these items. I ordered a burger from the low FODMAP menu, which only necessitates a gluten free bun and no onion or garlic to be used. What I received was one of the worst burgers of my life, dry poor quality meat which was also charred and very poorly dressed. The chips had been fried in old or cross contaminated oil which is what I believe caused me to feel sick. All this for the lovely price of £25 as well. In summary, avoid like the plague.

I had high hopes when my partner booked this place for my birthday. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. My partner had the pork dish, and had to ask for a steak knife as the meat was so dry and tough. I had the burger and swapped out the fries for the rosemary potatos. The bun was hard and dry and the burger was burnt. The potatoes were also dry and had no rosemary taste at all. The service charge was 12.5%, which we wouldn't have minded, but we had to wait ages to get someone's attention for the steak knife and ended up standing by the till to pay our bill as the staff were nowhere to be seen.

First time here and it's a cute place and pleasant, however was disappointed with the food. I'm a vegetarian, so my partner and I got both the veggie mains; gnocchi and the Glamorgan potato cake. I'm afraid they were bland and underwhelming. Really didn't enjoy either dish and was confused why the Glamorgan potato cake comes with a random large oily onion ring?? Anyway all lacked flavour IMO. The dessert was nice though. But this place is pricey, well certainly for what we got as thr veggie mains were just over £20 each. Perhaps the meat dishes are better?? who knows, but won't be returning

So first they forgot my drink. I had to ask to get it. The food came relatively quickly but the burger buns were burnt on me and my sister (see photo) and the pattie was completely burnt and dry even though I ordered it differently. I told the waitress that mine was burnt and she took it back to the kitchen (including my cutlery). I got my new portion very quickly (but my ColeSlaw salad was exactly the same (half empty). The new burger bun was okay but the meat was overcooked again. As mentioned above the waitress took my cutlery so now I had no cutlery and had to look for a waitress again to be able to eat. The bill came very quickly but we weren't asked how we wanted to pay and the waitress ran off again straight away. We still had to pay the service charge despite the poor quality. To summarise, I expected something better for the price. I would not recommend going there. I can not say how the ambiente was inside because we sat outside of the restaurant.

I'd love to be able to rate this higher, I'd been looking forward to visiting Niche since I found out about it. Me and my partner ordered diffrent things with the intention of sharing everything so we could try as much as possible. We started with the sourdough bread for the table. Along with the 'NFC' basket and the chedder and parmasan doughnuts. To put it simply thr doughnuts are one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. Ever before being diagnosed celiac. And my partner who can eat muggle food would agree. The sourdough bread was also incredible, ive not seen a slice of bread without massive airpockets for two years (if you know you know) the 'NFC' basket was very much just okay. It was nice to be able to eat fried chicken at a restaurant but i wouldn't order it again. For mains I had the pot pie which was labeled on the menu as "a real treat for celiacs" i cant put in to words how excited I was to have a good pie at a restaurant. The absolute disappointment that slapped across my face when I was given a shepereds pie, in a pot..... And not even a good one at that. It was a layer of mashed potato covering a lake of watery gravy hiding 2 sad bits of lamb. I'm still trying to work out what the treat was supposed to be 🤔 And my partner ordered the NFC burger This looked amazing when it was brought out, after having a bite, the burger was cremated beyond belief. I'm honestly supprised it made it out the kitchen. If I was to come back I'd just order the starters I cant fathom how they are so good but the mains are so bad, unless they had a staff change half way through the night it simply dosnt make sense. Id of loved to give this 5 stars as I said I've been excited to vist this place for about a year, travelling all the way from Nottingham to vist. I really wish the pie was what I expected 😅 Again, not a total disappointment the cheese doughnuts are worth the trip alone 🫠

I ate here last week and was looking forward to it due to every item on the menu being gluten free. The plus points were that the staff are great and really know how to treat solo diners. Also the sourdough bread was excellent and there was a great selection of gluten free beers. On the downside, my main was really just ok. The fries in particular did not justify the cost and overall the bill was much higher than was warranted by the quality of the food. Overall it was decent and a relief to feel that I could eat with confidence without worrying about becoming ill from cross-contamination. Also very convenient for the Sadler's Wells theatre.

I had high hopes but unfortunately was left disappointed with the food. We had NFC basket as a starter to share. The portion was small, overly salty and sauces not flattering. I have to be honest to say Nando's gf chicken nuggets are much tastier. I had to send back Camembert to the oven because it was half baked. The bread aside was great tasting though. It did lack something sweet aside to my palate. My partner had pork as a main. I was not convinced the potatoe mash wasn't made of flakes? I had the steak which was ok but both mains were very salty to our taste. The desserts were not what we expected at all. The ice cream had ice crystals in it and the vanilla one did not taste of fresh cream. The millionaire cheesecake did not taste or feel like a cheesecake at all. The caramel sauce had a slimy consistence. Only the biscuit bottom was nice. Oh, and the PREMIUM orange juice was just a normal cheap juice made of concentrate. The waiters were nice, the room itself pleasant but the air ventilator made lots of noise and the toilet needs some serious renovation. I am not meaning to be harsh but it was just my experience. I can see a lot of people have enjoyed it. Would not return unfortunately although the idea of a fully gf restaurant is great.

My friend and I had a very good time, we ate very well and we were very happy to have found a completely gluten-free restaurant 🤩 The girls who served us were very attentive and kind! Absolutely worth trying again, I recommend booking!

Absolutely Outstanding!! By far one of the best kept secrets in London. Service was great, not overly expensive (rare) and very pleasant experience indeed.

100% gluten free. Such yummy food. If you are anywhere near this restaurant and are gluten free you should try it! Make a reservation though - although they were still offering outside tables for non-bookings. Wine was also delicious.

We went to eat there because the menu is gluten-free. The food itself is not bad but for our taste everything was very oily.

We visited Niche today as a family of 6 - 4 adults and 2 children (ages 4 and 2). It’s a tiny place but our buggy just fit into a corner. They’re not really setup for young children but were friendly about them being there. The food for the kids is really limited and the quality of the beef burger was poor - no seasoning and extremely well done. The kids food also doesn’t come with any sides, so it was a plain burger with a rasher of bacon on the top. The burger was much more for older children as it was a giant burger and bun. The adults food was mixed - starters were excellent. Mains were mixed, some really great others overcooked and dry. The service was friendly but they’re not the kind of place that checks the meals are alright or if you want another bottle of wine. The options for people with gluten issues is incredible and the food doesn’t taste like typical gf food. There’s also a lot for people with dairy issues. We really appreciated that. All in all a nice spot.

It was a really rather bizarre experience. The waiter was absolutely lovely, full credit to him. The cocktail with elderflower was delicious. But...the food. Oh lordy. I've never seen anything so greasy in my life! Everything was saturated in oil. The potatoes were overcooked and so oily, broccoli covered in oil and loads of chilli and garlic. So much seasoning on everything. The Caesar salad was saturated in dressing. It's such a shame and I don't know why they do this? Surely lots of food is naturally gf and should be prepared simply and rely on quality ingredients. It's almost like they feel they have to overcompensate. Like gf food is boring and plain so they try and add too much fat and flavouring. Also the use of plant butters on some dishes made little sense when the dish contains meat. The butter topping on the schnitzel was horrendous. It tasted like cheap margarine that's gone off! So, sadly we won't be back. My celiac friend felt the same. The potential is there but I think they need to lighten the ingredients and try not to be too many things. Why offer plant butters etc? Sure, have a vegan dish like most places do. But it just adds to the confusion.

Wonderful experience and perfect for a special occasion. The number of choices for someone who has to steer clear of multiple allergens were fantastic and my non gluten-free partner loved every bite. The millionaire's cheesecake was a particular hit (not pictured as there wasn't any left by the time we thought to take a photo)!

HIGHLY recommend! Food is fantastic and have an array of foods that one might not expect to find at a gluten free restaurant. Best food we had on this trip to London and the fried chicken and schnitzel were particular standouts! Went back a second time just to try more of the menu and had fantastic service both times from Faith. Keep up the great work!

We were seated and asked if we wanted water that didn’t come until we asked a second time. Every time I wanted to order I had to ask a member of staff to come over and take our order. Desserts came out with 10 minutes in between portions. It’s not a large restaurant, it shouldn’t take 20 minutes for us to get our drinks order taken. The food was nice but was not value for money. I paid £22+ for a piece of cod and 2 slices of pepper. Then got a £26 optional service charge added on. Very disappointed.

Well we happened by this restaurant by chance. Sat down ordered and ate the most amazing food only then to find out it was gluten free and an award winning restaurant. Honestly we couldn’t tell the difference between gluten free and gluten food. It tasted like regular food and was very flavourful, excellently cooked and well presented. Service was very good.

Pre theatre supper before a Sadlers Wells performance, and chose Niche on the basis of proximity. Was very pleasantly surprised - food was very good. Fried chicken was delicious, and the Caesar salad was also very good, though might have been a little less garlicky! Service was prompt and friendly.

Chosen to impress a gluten free friend on there visit to London with a Sunday roast. We were both extremely disappointed. Both the beef and lamb were over cooked and poor quality. Most of the veg was undercooked and cold. The Yorkshire pudding was flat and very doughy. Not proper roast potatoes but undercooked roast new potatoes. The gravy was flavourless and almost ironically floury consistancy. Thankfully there wasn't much of it. The place seemed understaffed and fully booked with many turned away at the door. This was one of the worst Sunday roasts ive had. For the price and hype i expect a lot more. If you are after a great gluten free roast i would call round reknowned establishments, many of which now offer gluten free. As in most cases it is only the stuffing, gravy and Yorkshire pudding that should contain gluten.

We attended Sadler’s Wells theatre nearby & had already eaten, we only wanted to have 2 coffees. There were tables that were empty & reserved for 15 minutes later. We explained to the waiter that we would only be a few minutes, however he was NOT at all understanding, in fact due to his attitude we shall be cancelling our future reservations. This is NOT the way in my opinion to win customers & get your restaurant positive reviews!!!!! AVOID!!!

It was so amazing. From the catering to the service it was all on point hence the 5 star rating. I normally never rate anything as 5 but this was so amazing and was the best.

Hemos estado viniendo a The Swimmer at the Grafton Arms muchas veces ahora, y nunca decepciona.

Little gem of a restaurant offering fine meats from the best places. Very friendly owner and staff. Highly recommended!
