Bread And Butter in Angus

Ordered a burger and fried onions and a cappuccino. The beefburger was cooked to death and like sawdust, definitely reheated in the microwave for way too long. Please ladies cook them to order or take them off the menu.

Takeaway food stop, but a few seats to use. Jacket potatoes arrived in a takeaway container. Tasty, lots of salad etc too. Very reasonable price, friendly staff. Nearest loo not too far away!

Were on our way home from a UK break and passing Brechin. As we had been driving, we had missed lunch, and had originally intended to pull in at Brechin to go to a specific eatery, only to find it packed out the door. Our 2nd choice was closed. We stumbled upon 'Bread & Butter', never having seen it before (we only visit Brechin occassionaly). We ordered 2 sandwiches and waited a few minutes whilst they were made up fresh to order. During this time, another customer came in and ordered a sandwich - and was asked if he would like salad on it....whereas, we were not offered this option. The sandwiches we got were nice, but would have been REALLY nice with the addition of salad. So perhaps this is something to consider offering ALL customers. Price wise, it was very good value for what we got. Would I go back? I guess so, even if I have to ask for salad on my sarnie.

Easily the best takeaway food in Brechin. Visit regularly for lunches, Shona and her staff are superb and provide top quality products and customer service. Especially worth a visit on a Friday or Saturday for the specials!
