We had the most lovely lunch in here followed by some lovely cocktails. The best one for me was the spicy Bloody Mary made by the very friendly Alvaro who couldn’t have been more helpful to us. Highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad with anchovies and the truffle fries!

We had dinner in the Brasserie, now called the Terrace restaurant with family during our stay at the Murraypark. We met for pre dinner drinks in the bar just off the foyer and received excellent service from the very knowledgeable and attentive bar staff. They also set up a tab that transferred to the restaurant bill We were shown to a table by the window, given menus and in short order our drinks order was taken and brought to the table. There is a good range of draft beers on offer, but they are all “premium” or “craft” and unfortunately the best lager in Scotland is not available. The beer was served appropriately chilled and was as expected Our server returned after giving us ample time to peruse and discuss the menu to take our order. She was very knowledgeable and described any aspects of the menu that we wished to query. Starters were served after an appropriate period for preparation I had the calamari for as a starter and the hanging chicken kebabs for mains. The calamari was crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. The chicken kebabs had a good selection of peppers and mushrooms and very generous chunks of moist, tender chicken. Fries were excellent. Portions were generous and it was a challenge way beyond our appetite to attempt dessert. Throughout staff were attentive and ensured drinks were replenished when required. An excellent meal was had by everyone and we felt that when all things were considered it offered really good value given the quality of the ingredients, excellence of preparation and presentation and the friendliness of the staff.

Either they need to half the price of their food, or they need to double the standard. Seriously sub-standard meals at an extortionate price. Drinks are cheaper in London. They have a captive audience that they are fleecing. Such a shame as on holiday at a place like Crieff Hydro, it’s so much more convenient to just be able to have a good meal in the hotel complex especially with kids. We ate here on the first night of our holiday and did not go back - cancelled the rest of our bookings!

We've eaten twice at the Terrace during our stay at the Crieff Hydro. The outside decked area is a particularly nice place to eat, especially as we have been blessed with good weather. Food wise, the pasta and risotto dish were good, but at £14 costly for standard fayre. Sadly the carbonara came smothered in pepper, which over powered the flavour. I'm sure they would have sorted it, but I was too hungry to wait! The previous meal, aubergine parmigiana was pretty disappointing, and tasted slightly undercooked with no depth of flavour. The hanging kebab looked fabulous, though my hubby thought it was OK at best, which at around £20 was not a cheap meal. The staff were very pleasant, especially those out on the deck. But priced at the high end ( around 50% more than the other places we ate in area, I would have expected it to be a higher quality. For the convenience it was an OK compromise. The chips/fries, I should add, are divine... as is the Our Passion is Your Passion cocktail... give it a try if you are here, perfect for sitting n enjoying the evening sun!

The Brassiere is a good looking restaurant and the service was really nice. However, the quality of the food did not match that. It was totally tasteless and bland - my husband a pasta lover did not even finish his king prawn pasta as it did not taste nice. It is a shame and disappointing. The place is quite expensive and you expect more food quality.

So booked a table in the restaurant for a early lunch yesterday. The food is good but very pricey. The staff are friendly and helpful and couldn't fault them. I would say that the Bannoffee pudding was lacking in banana and not the best pud I have ever had. Nice surroundings once you find it. Not sure I will be rushing back. The lift and front foyer need attention to detail definitely need a hoover during the day. Sorry.

If you are staying at the hotel for a week it’s disappointing that the main menu never changes . On the occasions we had anything pizza based it always had a “soggy bottom” if you are going to do pizza it needs to be crisp on the bottom, so very disappointed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating so made up for the food. We have been going to the Hydro for a number of years and always enjoyed our time there. we realise we are in difficult times but please try and keep the standards up .

We ate here on the first night of our visit and found the team to be very welcoming, friendly, efficient and customer focused. We were seated quickly on arrival and our drinks orders taken immediately and fulfilled with minimal wait. My wife chose the lasagna with a side of truffle and Parmesan fires while I opted for the sole from the specials menu. Both were delicious and well priced. Would happily recommend a visit here while staying at Crieff Hydro.

Come to Crieff hydro every year sometimes a couple of times a year. Was happy to see the menu had eventually changed in the brasserie restaurant. Had pre booked as it’s always busy and can sometimes be difficult to get a table. Our waitress was lovely and very efficient so no problems in that area. The menu although improved and much better choices still think the starters and desserts could be better. We had 3 haddock and chips and 1 burger and chips all were served quickly and decent portions and no problems. The main issue we had was the dessert. We ordered two fudgy brownies and I can honestly say it’s the worst brownie I have ever tasted. It was so rich but not a nice rice like after one mouthful I had to leave it so was a complete waste of money. No one checked to see if it was ok or we enjoyed it. And it was supposed to have salted caramel ice cream the ice cream tasted of absolutely nothing and overall for the price was extremely disappointed. Next time we go to Crieff we are going to try piccolo or yann’s as I have heard lots of good things about these places.

Just had dinner in the Brasserie restaurant. Couldn’t believe my ears when Daniel came to our table and said that they had a large booking who needed our table so could we finish up in the next 5 to 10 minutes. I was in shock. We’d only been there for 90 minutes. I called Daniel back. And said that we weren’t notified that there was a time limit. He said typically up to 2 hours. So I said we had 30 more minutes. My two sons, both with Autism, started to get flustered and anxious because they were now being rushed. Daniel couldn’t give a ####. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. I think the management at Crieff really need to review their manager selection. He had no empathy. He had no answers to my complaints. All I got was a blank face. I’d have gotten more response complaining to the table we were sat at. Unbelievable. My sons were very distressed when we got back to the room. They thought they had done something wrong and that’s why we were being asked to leave. The company need to review Daniel and review his management capabilities because in my opinion he has none.

We had one dinner in the Brasserie - the salmon dish, the duck dish and the steak were all outstanding. What is so good about the Brasserie is that the adults can enjoy these top quality dishes yet the children can get meals in the same restaurant which are just right for them. Our other two dinners were in the Piccolo, an Italian restaurant which is part of the Brasserie. Again the food was excellent and the children's dishes were just what they love. Another point to make about these restaurant is that the staff were really fabulous. A Hungarian waiter in the Brasserie was so helpful and an Italian waitress in the Piccolo was so kind to the children. I've never seen children's pizzas made to look like a face - superb! A piece of advice - you really do have to book well in advance.

Had a family meal in this restaurant last night and my two year old niece was served RAW chicken nuggets. Thankfully after eating half of one we noticed it was completely raw inside and brought it to the attention of staff who brought another portion out and made a quick apology. When we received our bill we were shocked to find we had been charged for the chicken. No apology or goodwill gesture was offered and no one seemed to care that they had possibly poisoned my niece. No incident report was done and no one thought to check on her? Shocking service, none of the staff seemed to care and customer service was non existent. You can tell there are deep cultural issues throughout the full hotel all the staff seemed disengaged and you are nothing but a number. Also, the prices were extortionate for completely average food. I've had better meals in a pub for a 3rd of the price. Very surprised that no details were taken to check and see if my niece was okay? Will be passing this incident on to food standards agency but please do not risk letting your child eat here as there are clearly no procedures in place and staff don't care!

We were staying for just one night at Crieff Hydro and chose to eat at the Brasserie Restaurant - family of four including two teenagers. The food was excellent and suited all of our tastes and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble; I chose to have two starters, my son wanted a double portion of a children’s meal - everything we requested was given without any quibble or query. They managed to speak with restaurant who got us in for 7.45.Got there and the booking was in for two people when I had originally booked for 4! Thankfully there were a few spaces for a table of 4 which made me wonder what all the fuss was about changing my booking to 7.30.....Menu - good choice took me a while deciding what to eat. I went for pâté 2 of the group went for scallops, have to say they were not impressed for £10.95 starter you would expect maybe 2/3 good sized....this honestly looked like they had cut one scallop into two pieces and put on plate. Then you look at the other starters like the king prawn one, had lots on the plate. Very disappointing. When we said to the waitress about the scallops her answer well they always look like that, said she would go speak to chef but never came back which I found rather rude. Lastly steaks ordered sirloin but fillet came however couldn't fault it, was really tasty and cooked to perfection. They also gave me a complimentary wine for the steak mix up.Due to these issues I don't think we will be back.

Nice tasty food very well presented staff very pleasant and helpful. I had the lamb which is something that I’m not in the way of having. The meat was very tender and came with purple carrot etc. If I had any criticism it would be that the navarine of lamb would have been much better with more jus . Sorry I don’t have any photographs as forgot to take my phone.

We attended the brasserie after being unable to get a suitably timed table in the Meikle restaurant as part of our stay at Crieff Hydro and the room service we got also came from the Brasserie. We both love steak and the steaks here were ok... not 'write home' good and not terrible by any stretch, just a bit...pale and not so tasty. The service was fine and not over-attentive so no qualms there, however it was so busy it was slightly reminiscent of a production line!

This was the fifth or sixth time that we have visited The Brasserie at The Crieff Hydro and we were not disappointed. Despite a late evening booking, we had good service and really good food. My wife sampled the French onion soup and their special of beef bourguignon whilst I tried their terrine de campagna followed by the Bandol bouillabaisse. All dishes were extremely tasty and served piping hot. We also sampled their cocktail menu, which as usual was superb. You really can't go wrong eating here - the food is always good, there's always a good selection for most if not all palates and they always look after their customers.

£15 for 2 toasties very expensive.Kids meals came with frozen vegetables - would expect fresh vegetables from this establishment.Left alone most of the meal and had to try and find a waiter for more drinks.Heard better reviews about Childrens High Tea. However, lunch not great and expensive - would not return.

We visited The Brasserie on a weekday evening when we were staying locally with family. We booked a table as it gets quite busy in the evening particularly during school holidays. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant is bright and functional though with hard floors and nothing on the walls to deaden sound it does get noisy.Once seated we were given menus and the daily specials explained. Our drinks order was tajken and served very soon after. We opted to skip starters and go straight to mains. I chose the haddock with French fries as did several others in our party.Meals were served promptly giving allowance for their preparation. All dishes were nicely presented and portion sizes were good. The batter on the haddock was crisp, not overly oily and just the right thickness. Additional sauces were offered and brought to the table as requested. After our main course was cleared we were offered dessert and for those that opted in they were promptly served Service was attentive without being intrusive and drinks refills were offered when requiredWe enjoyed our meal in The Brasserie and found it to good value for money. Would we return, probably, as it is better than most other options in Crieff and the views are stunning when the weather is fine.

There were all the choices of children's favourites on the menu. For example, tomato soup, burger, chicken nuggets etc. which was a delight for my grandchildren. The choice of food for adults was excellent as was the presentation. We enjoyed every mouthful of our meal.

Visited 2 nights during a stop over in Comrie before heading to Fort William. What can I say amazing food yet again. Both nights we tried a different dish and both nights we very pleased. Excellent food and flavours. Katy & Brian run and amazing restaurant.
