Had to collect my new glasses so wife and I decided to try breakfast having called in a week ago for a Bacon roll. We both ordered breakfast. Amazing everything cooked to perfection only one thing I would have liked was tin tomatoes. I'm sure they was on the menu just didn't see them, having said that congratulations to them a first class breakfast. Would I recommend it. 💯 Percent yes.

We go to Boswells regularly, the staff are always lovely and the food is usually good. Unfortunately, today, my partners ham baguette was seriously substandard. We understand the cost of everything has gone up, but when you pay £5.60 for a ham and pickle baguette, you kind of expect there to be a reasonable amount of ham to pickle ratio. Come on guys, stop being stingy with the ham - said by a good veggie who had an egg baguette.

Great little cafe all round and not over-priced. Nice change to have traditional light and freshly prepared options that the ubiquitous establishments don’t offer. My new go-to place for a quick bite.

I went here for a group breakfast a couple of weeks ago and the experience was tremendous from start to finish. Toni, Paul, Angie and Gemma looked after us and ensured our breakfasts and drinks arrived on time. The food was delicious and provided a great start to the day. All members of the group enjoyed the experience! I would really recommend Boswells as they are adaptable and can work with groups like ours which were above 20 people.

Absolutely brilliant. Came here in a big group with no fuss at all. I had the American breakfast and it was amazing, and I know that the people with English loved it too. All in all great service, food, and experience.

Over 25 minutes waiting for a baguette, were not that busy but there is a line of how long a person can wait for such a simple baguette especially when on a lunch break. They were not even that busy. Glad the 2 ladies behind the counter found it amusing. Had to leave empty handed and with an empty stomach. Shame.

Boswells in Didcot is the best of its kind in the area by a long way. I'm a regular, especially when visiting mine and my partners family. I've never had a bad experience here, and their coffee and cakes are to die for (I'm a little biased towards the carrot cake). The team, especially new starter Courtney are lovely, polite service with a smile even on busy days is what makes this place great.

I am literally sitting in Boswell’s halfway through my breakfast and felt compelled to write about it. It is nothing short of perfect. Sausage is super tasty and well cooked, bacon nice and crispy just how I asked, wonderfully sautéed mushrooms and crunchy hash browns sitting next to piping hot baked beans. Even the baby in my tummy has happily started to kick in appreciation. Well done Boswell’s, the place looks lovely and the staff are always eager to please.

We go here frequently for breakfast at the weekend and a never disappointed. Boswell's is busy and popular on any weekday, Saturday and Sunday. It's by no means fine dining, and the backdrop of Didcot is a little depressing, even on a good day. Railway station, power station, army barracks, that's it. I have seen stolen Boris Bikes, 60 miles from their point of origin, ridden shamelessly around the streets by shaven haired thugs. The town is a haven for single mums, hauling double buggies filled with plump olive skinned toddler Chantelles and Jakes eating crisps for breakfast, followed by a Red Bull chaser. The standard dress code is a pasty and grim face, grey XXL track suit bottoms and neck tattoos. These coupled with greasy hair pulled back in a pony tail or bun, and gold effect Argos hoop earrings. You will often see middle-aged mother and daughter in tandem dressed exactly the same way rushing between Wilkinson's and 99p Stores. The heavy smoking, dry-throat, sallow complexioned mum, heard croaking to the podgy teenage daughter that "the Council never done nuffink!" Lunch for them is a Gregg's gravy and pastry slice eaten on the bovine hoof, straight out of the bag. It is not a pretty sight.Right on the corner of the Orchard Centre walking street and just over from Cineworld is Boswell's Cafe. It's well placed to catch passing trade. The food is wholesome and basic, no balsamic dressing here. You order at the counter. What always strikes me about Boswells Cafe is the charm and friendliness of every staff member. They are universally cheery and eager to please. This is consistent in even the busiest periods. It's the main reason we keep coming back. Excellent for a full-English breakfast or coffee and a pastry. There's plenty of seating.Lovely girls who are well trained in customer service take your order and bring it to the table.

This place can get very busy as it is pretty large and to be honest, not a great choice of places to grab a coffee or lunch in Didcot town centre. However, whatever we've had has always been reasonable for the price paid (sausage sandwiches in particular very good at breakfast!) and you can't ask much more than that.

A very pleasant cafe with outdoor seating in the picturesque village of Dorchester on Thames, just outside Oxford. Parking is easy and there are horses and llamas to see in a neighbouring field. The food is tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. My salt beef sandwich was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her chocolate and walnut cake. The village and its abbey are also worth a visit.

Nice cafe situated in the old bank. Staff are always pleasant and nice choice of cakes. Tea nicely served in pots on wooden trays and cakes nicely served on wooden platters. Reasonably priced. Tiffin cake was nice but a bit stodgy. Very dog friendly with free doggy treats. The cleanest toilet ever! Unfortunately there was an overpowering background chemical smell in the cafe. Would definitely visit again.

Visited twice this week. It’s a wonderful place with friendly staff. That’s why it gets so busy! There’s an area to work if you want, and an area upstairs with toddler books and toys as well as games you can rent for an hour or two. The coffee used to be lovely but I think they must be buying a different brand because this is foul - really bitter with a nasty aftertaste. It may be, of course, that the water is tainted (Thames Water have been adding more chlorine lately to overcome traces of sewage in the tap water) or that the machine is due for a clean. Whatever it is, I hope the coffee goes back to what it used to be! As I say, I visited twice this week and, both times, the coffee was awful. The cakes are quite delightful and the quiche I had yesterday was light and fluffy.
