Bossiney Tea Room in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We visited the tearooms & wish we had visited sooner as drove past over the years, what a great friendly place, plenty of choice on the menu, good sized portions & well presented, we were so impressed we went back a 2nd time & again was spot on so well done to all the staff & see you again when we visit Cornwall. X

Best cream tea I have had. Scones were fresh and warm, good size (we could have eaten them on their own!) option of fruit or plain. Clotted cream homemade, really good. Ice coffee was also really tasty. A few wasps buzzing around annoyingly as we choose to eat outside to soak up the sun. Would recommend a visit!

Lovely cafe in Bossiney. We stopped here after a coastal path walk from Tintagel. It was a lovely pit stop for a drink in the sun after a warm walk. The waitress was really nice and gave the dogs lots of fuss too!

We came across this tea room after a Tintangel and what a find it was! We enjoyed a delicious cream tea, probably the best we have ever had! The scones were simply delicious, freshly baked to order- soft in the middle and beautifully crisp on the outside. We then enjoyed a game of crazy golf which was lots of fun for adults and kids alike. Well worth a visit!

Had the Specialty Cream Tea at Bossiney Lodge tea rooms. Great feast - sandwiches of ham and pickle, and cheese, salad and coleslaw, pork pie, huge plain and fruit scones with jam and clotted cream, brownies, carrot cake, jam and cream sponge, and tea or coffee. Nice setting in a conservatory around the outside of an old cottage, with floor to ceiling indoor climbing plants.

A lovely café/resto conveniently located at the top of the walk down to the beautiful Bossiney Cove. Great for food and drink or just picking up ice creams. Reasonably priced and served with a smile.

Stopped in here today with out two dogs for a brew and an ice cream, what a lovely place, great coffee fabulous friendly staff and lovely setting, even the dogs were given a treat, would definitely recommend a visit

Very friendly staff and dog friendly inside and out. We had a whitebait wrap and a tuna jacket potato. Both delicious and presented well with salad, crisps and coleslaw. Definitely recommend.

had a game of crazy golf then decided to have a bite to eat service was very smart and happy to assist. I know it must have been good as a load of Harley Davidson riders stopped to refresh themselves as well. the food was excellent.

Super delicious Cornish Cream Tea consisting of a large scone, strawberry jam and clotted cream as well as a classic tea. The scone with raisins was super crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside. Super Service! Very friendly and courteous staff. Absolutely fair price-performance ratio. Price for everything together: £7.90.- Conclusion: one of the best and tastiest Cornish cream teas I ever had on my two-week trip through Cornwall!

We were warmly welcomed and given a table in the bright winter garden with a view of the local street, The cream tea 🫖🍮 was very good, good strawberry jam, nice service, Afterwards we received tips and help in choosing our destinations and a map👍🏻👍🏻 Would love to come back

Had a cream tea this afternoon. Very friendly & welcoming staff. Great service. The cream tea was outstanding, scone fresh out the oven. Coffee was excellent too.

What a lovely place.Seven of us had lunch here on a cold wet windy day and it was so cheerful and friendly in there and the food was tasty and arrived promptly.When combined with a fun game of crazy golf it turned a depressing day in to a fun one.A member of our party who felt too poorly to play golf was welcomed to sit in the warm and even given complimentary tea.So kind.

We were staying at the holiday park next to the tea rooms and going to the tea room for breakfast became our daily holiday treat. The food was fantastic and catered for amendments to the orders to suit our boys and their love of sausages! The service was wonderful and our family, including our little dog, were made to feel very welcome. We also played mini golf which was great fun and the homemade cakes taste as good as they look! We are home now and missing our daily tea room treat!

Everything I would expect from a tearoom, in a conservatory with climbing plants, extremely friendly staff and a delicious afternoon tea

This is the friendliest cafe I’ve been in long time, to both people and dogs!! Our little dog was offered a towel to dry on and lie on, water and treats, she even had her own dog menu! As a family we enjoyed our little lunch which catered well for kids, offering simple no fuss food. We finished off with tasty cakes - yummy. Definitely a great place to visit when you come to Tintagel.

Local ice-cream and a great local walk around the coast

Went here for breakfast with the family, 4 adults and 2 young children. Absolutely superb! Food cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Was so good we went back for lunch, had the Whitebait Wrap, delicious! Kids also enjoyed the crazy golf, nearly as much as the adults, followed by ice cream for the walk home. Prices are very reasonable and service second to none.

No better place to have a traditional cream tea, along with a good selection of other quality food and lovely friendly staff, 10/10 !

Stopped here after walking ro rocky valley for a quick ice cream fix. Great service, reasonable price, good choice of flavours.

Have went here multiple times before for an afternoon tea and it has been lovely , however we went on Monday and it was not enjoyable.We had ordered cream teas and one scone had come out burnt so we politely asked if we could have another.The waitress then rudely said they were supposed to be like that(never had a brown, hard scone😂). After a while she brought out one and put it down and grumpily said "here you go!" .No apologies. Very rude . Will not be going back.

Fantastic service, very friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. My family especially enjoyed the cocktails, whitebait and breakfasts. My mum is wheelchair bound, and despite the obstacles that come with old Cornish cottages, there were a number of staff that happily assisted me in getting my mum from the car to the tea room in her wheelchair.

A very pleasant building, very good service and reasonable prices.

Have been here many times with my grandchildren multiple years running. The children won't visit Cornwall without their usual drop-in. A wonderful experience and the best afternoon tea and service in the area.

The staff are so nice, talkative and make lots of conversation. Lots of choice on the menu which is very good cost wise. Even have a doggy menu, the inside is so nice with a floral wall and seating area, ice cream stand and outdoor seating on the grass. Very nice afternoon 😁

We booked ahead for afternoon tea after a lovely morning exploring Tintagel castle. The place was busy but they looked after us well. The afternoon tea was a great price and really worth the money! The sandwiches which wasn’t are usual taste were the hilight. The chutney was delicious. Thank you very much! We will be back

Stopped off here after visiting St Nectan’s Waterfall and it was the best cream tea in Cornwall! The scones were huge and Cornish tea was great! Even had decaf ☺️

Had a wonderful cream tea as a family of 5 and 2 pups. Great service and value. Very dog friendly with water and treats available, little touches which go a long way- Thank you. Finished with a round of crazy golf, which has been very well kept and a friendly chap running it.

It was my daughters birthday so we had one sweet with a bottle of prosecco and one savoury afternoon tea...it was beautiful, there was plenty to eat, infact we couldn't eat it all, so the staff gave us a takeaway box The value was brilliant, the staff were very friendly our table was laid beautifully for us. My husband's breakfast was very good. I had a cream tea (for breakfast). Fantastic, and best (huge) scone ever! The coffee was also of the best. Very friendly staff.

We were in Cornwall last weekend, and we had decided that following our hike in Rocky Valley, we would stop at Bossiney Tea Rooms for break before heading to the St. Nectan's Glenn. Unfortunately, on the way to Rocky Valley, our 5 year old daughter needed the loo. We stopped at the tea rooms, as it was the only business we could see close to where we were, and politely asked if my child could use their toilet. I was greeted by a lady who promptly asked me if we were customers, to which I replied that no, we weren't customers at that moment but we were planning to stop later for coffee and tea. She then unapologetic said my child couldn't use the toilet and pointed to the public toilet on the road across. I mean, had I asked for myself, fine... but who refuses access to the loo to a child? A child who would have probably, given the age, felt more comfortable in a clean toilet rather than a public one over the road? I thought it was poor. I didn't argue it, because I thought there was no point, but I couldn't wait to come home and post this all over social media. Needless to say we took our break elsewhere after Rocky Valley.

We visited here today and had the afternoon tea and our little boy had a wrap. It was absolutely gorgeous, the sandwiches were perfect, the cakes and scones were delicious! All the staff were absolutely lovely. They checked on us regularly to make sure everything was ok and that we had enough drinks. If it wasn't our last day at our campsite we would have returned! No photos as we had eaten most of it by the time we remembered!!

Run by hard working, dedicated lovely people. Great place for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. All scones and cakes are home made and hard to beat. I had a cream team with prosecco with my friend and it was all gorgeous. Fantastic service and a lovely welcome always 😍☀️

Please just look at the photo I have attached and understand why I can writing this. The price for what came to our table is crazy!!! How this place gets any good reviews is nuts. So, my wife and i were doing a coastal walk and this is the only place to eat probably with a couple of miles. We ordered a drink and decided on a cheese and onion sandwich for a snack which comes with salad, pickle and slaw. It also says it's local produce. It is all clearly bought from the local supermarket and it's their own budget brand stuff too and they change £8.90 for it !! We live in Bristol where the prices have gone nuts but a cheese and onion sandwich of this standard for this price is really bad.

Hidden gen, great staff and food

This tea room is a hidden gem, and I am so glad we found it! We were looking for a dog friendly tea room during our visit to Tintagel and spotted this on Google maps. I have to say, this was one of the best cream teas I have ever tasted! The staff were so kind and attentive, made a fuss over our dog and nothing was too much trouble. This place is a must if you are in the area- thank you so much for helping us start our holiday off right with a beautiful cream tea!!

Delightful Tea Room with sea views. There is a choice of three eating areas - outside in the garden, inside in the attractive conservatory and an indoor dining room. There is an extensive menu, with options for those with special dietary requirements. We were given a warm welcome by each of the friendly, attentive staff, who could not do enough for us. I chose the Mac and Cheese Croquettes with Sweet Chilli Dip, and a large, very fresh side salad, and my husband chose a Cream Tea. I joke that my husband is a “connoisseur” of Cream Teas, and he said that this was the best, and freshest cream tea he has ever had! (Sorry no photo - he had started to tuck in before I had a chance to take one! Next time …..!). We will certainly be back very soon to try more of the gems on this deliciously fresh menu.

Lovely family running the cafe with knowledge of local area and delicious food in a conservatory with Mediterranean vines overlooking the sea. The garden also looks nice but it was a bit too cold on our visit to sit out. We found it completely by accident when we didn't have the right change for the St Nectans Glen waterfall carpark so drove on towards Tintagel and stopped here, had afternoon tea. Scrumptious cake and sandwiches, there was a lot so we took some home for later. Clean toilets and baby change always a plus, I clocked they had high chairs also. There is access to a nice coastal walk opposite which takes you to Bossiney and Boneath coves, I think the locals swim here. Our son made use of the crazy golf course which helped him run off some steam. Will come back next time we are down here.

We went down to Bossiney Cove for a swim, and were peckish on the way up so decided to stop at Bossiney Tea Room. Was lovely! My girlfriend is coeliac and they went very out of their way to make it so that she could happily eat without worry, which was incredibly appreciated. The food was also very good as a whole.

Was open on Boxing Day. Really nice home made scones and even had dog biscuits for our pooches!

This was a great little find for us. Our lodge was not ready so we came here for a drink while waiting.They serve a variety of food and drinks. Upon arrival staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ordered several drinks which were lovely and refreshing after a long walk. We was also given complimentary crisps which was a great little touch. Service was quick and there was no problems with our order. We will definitely be back next year. I would highly recommend 👍

Perfect stop off for those walking on the SWCP but also those driving or staying locally. Carrot cake is delicious and lady owner (off to Bahamas soon) is love and helpful. Have a great trip.

A lovely experience. We received a warm and friendly welcome. We chose a Cornish cream tea each. The fruit scones were warm, and the tea poured perfectly from the teapot which is a rare thing these days. The cafe itself is pretty and has vines and climbing flora taking advantage of the glazed area. Sitting outside there is a good view of the sea in the distance. The bathroom was spotless and roomy. There is absolutely nothing to criticise here. If in the area again, I would gladly return.

Stopped for a Cornish cream tea on the way back from a day at the beach and were greeted with scones still warm from the oven, clotted cream and strawberry jam and plenty of tea. Wonderfully friendly table service and great food.

We didn’t get to visit the tea room, but did use the crazy golf. Roughly nine holes and good fun with my teenage daughter (who won!). Warning, it is cash only for the crazy golf.

Stopped here for tea cakes and cream tea. Proper homemade scones and large aswell. Really traditional tearoom with nice staff. Also got to pet the husky which lives there which was the icing on the cake!

Unfriendly welcome by officious waitress, the coffee ok though. Not allowed to use contactless unless you spend £4, is that even allowed these days? Not somewhere that we would want to return to.
