Bosco Pizzeria Cheltenham in Cheltenham

I am writing on behalf of my family who recently had lunch at Bosco. The food was exquisite and delivered to us in about 10/15 minutes so really on fire. Portion sizes were perfect (though if you get a pasta and like to eat a lot you’ll need a dessert - said my brother). Pizzas were a delicious treat. However the main reason for the stellar reviews is that the chefs specially prepared food for my other brother. The chefs whizzed up a pizza perfectly for the right consistency for him. Thank you everyone!

Went for a lunch, I had the lunch deal for two courses- it was awesome was unable to finish & they gave me a takeaway box. The other two had pizzas- perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server was a lady called Roberta who was excellent- very helpful & attentive. The price was reasonable for the standard and quality- will go again.

Bustling atmosphere, tasty food. Although did not order pizza this time, they cook it in a wood oven Their salads are heavenly and the portions hearty.

We chose Bosco as a venue to celebrate our anniversary due to the amazing location and reviews we had heard off friends. Upon arriving, we were seated and I’m sad to say… almost forgotten about. Throughout our whole experience at Bosco, we felt as if the wait staff had purposely neglected our table in comparison to those seated around us. Two sets of diners had arrived after us, eaten, paid and left before our empty plates had even been removed. Sad to say we removed our service charge- once finally finding a server to pay with which is a pitty due to the food being amazing.

Really good atmosphere and great table let down by stodgy pizza we were really disappointed with the food and ragu pasta dish the same poor quality would not return

Please, for the love of god, continue what you do because you're doing it great. The pizza is by far and beyond the very best and the closest to a napolitan pizza. I wait the whole week just for the weekend to eat your pizza. Keep it up.

We had an incredible dining experience at Bosco! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waiter, Danielo, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the quality and care that goes into the food here. The service was top-notch, and the overall experience was nothing short of exceptional. The pizza was thin and undercooked was like eating raw dough. I even became nauseous while trying to eat it. Cost a ton aswell. Can't say I would ever want to go back.

Booked this place on the off chance they had tables left on a Saturday night. Our table was booked for 9:15pm and when we arrived the place was still full and buzzing with people enjoying their night. The pizzas were amazing! Our server was fab - they were attentive, helpful and funny! The service was super quick too. Would definitely recommend and if ever in Cheltenham again I would happily revisit.

My husband and I had lunch here on a Tuesday, it was maybe half capacity. Atmosphere was a 3 as we really enjoyed our windows table, but the hard furnishings made sounds echo and the music was too loud. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food a 3, started with garlic bread that actually had garlic it was very nice and we both had wine, again, very nice. My husband had the aubergine, Parmigiana di Melanzane which is a LARGE plate as menu noted, tasty but the sauce was very sweet which made it difficult to eat the entire meal. I had 2 starters for my meal, the fried artichoke with lemon and aioli 5hat was so oily, I used my napkin to soak most of the oil. The other starter was Calimari, tough and chewy. I googled why it would be tough and found mainly overcooked and/or needed marinating. We have now decided there are other places to now discover. And NOTE: 12.5% service charge on the bill, which we happily paid for GOOD service today.

Amazing Italian find in the middle of Cheltenham. Pizzas are huge and delicious, the beef shin ragu is fantastic. Really reasonable, great wine selection, would highly recommend!

We went out for dinner here and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lovely, with a modern yet classy design that created a welcoming ambience. The staff were friendly and professional, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavourful, and authentically Italian. For dessert, we shared a Tiramisu, which was generously portioned and perfect for two. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful Italian dining experience!

I have been to the one in Clifton, Bristol… this is a slightly slicker feeling place. Food excellent, service really attentive.

Are here recently with a large group of 10. The staff did very well serving us and even though we had all had quite a bit of alcohol they accommodated our every need. The food was delicious with a mix of a bit of every thing they had on the menu being sampled across our table with no complaints. The kitchen was visible to the whole restaurant with a wood oven to cook the pizzas. The only negative for atmosphere would be that the air con units look like they have been thrown into the ceiling but oh well, the rest more than makes up for this. Would highly recommend

A Great Lunch Spot After a Busy Shoot While shooting showreel and headshot material with an actor and my team, we stopped in here for lunch, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The place was very welcoming, and the carbonara was absolutely to die for. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came during a weekend trip- we had the perfect meal, incredible food and service (well priced cheese was a highlight). They also have a huge range of wines available as glass, carafe, or bottle, which is lovely. Six stars if I could! Good veggie options too.

The interior is cosy with a sort of 1930s vibe. The food is delightful. I ate Arancini to start, then a Venetian pizza with anchovies, olives and crispy capers. For dessert I had two cannoli's with a black coffee. Professional but relaxed service, a real treat with real home cooked flavours. Good prices too. To give a feel of the place, as we sat inside, the rain started to come down outside but with the autumn sunshine breaking through, which really set off the interior. It was glowing with this amber light, leaves falling outside and the wind blowing. It felt like we were sat in some swanky New York pizzeria. Just fabulous! Honestly I'm going back for more.

Service was great but let down by the food. Over salted, stodgy and poor work by the chef.

Great pizza, Terrible accoustics. Sound bounces off the glass walls and there are no soft furnishings present to dampen it. I couldn't hear a word the waiter or my friends were saying. I generally have a high tolerance for this type of thing but the volume inside was obscene. A cascading cacophony of sound will hinder your dining experience. Don't blame the staff, blame the brainbox who turned an insurance showroom into a restaurant without putting curtains in. Personally, I'd avoid until something changes.

Went on a Thursday evening and it was very busy (recommend booking) but service was still incredibly fast. The food was delicious and staff were attentive - we had an enjoyable evening!

It was a sunny afternoon and we were walking by, despite being busy we were immediately found a table outside so we could sit with our dog 🐶. The staff were very efficient and helpful and the food came quickly and the pizza was so light that even though it was big, it was easy to eat it all! So delicious! All for a good price as well, about £15 per pizza 🍕. Perfect.

We came here on a Saturday evening, it was very busy but service did not suffer, we ordered starters, mains and desserts as well as cocktails and we could not fault any of the food, we particularly enjoyed the pizzas and the pizza base was perfectly cooked. Although it closes at 10, we were not rushed out and they still served us desserts and we didn’t feel like we needed to rush eating them. Amazing restaurant and we will be visiting again!!

what a fabulous pizza! and such a lovely place. Having had a nod to try this 2 years ago. I was eager to enjoy it. but the food and service quickly let me know, I have left this place alone for far too long. I can't wait to come back and try the other options in the menu. Excellent quality food at a reasonable price! don't think this place is soulless by the 4 star atmosphere rating. This is a quiet Tuesday after a Bank Holiday and the service was still very good.

Loved our lunch here, the food was really tasty and authentic. We ordered Ventricina pizza it was delicious. The service was really good too. Will visit again soon!!

Extremely welcoming greeting as I was shown to my table. The waitress was amazingly helpful, getting my dog a bow of iced water and then allowing us to move to another table with more shade for said pooch. Nice cold beer was served promptly followed by an excellent and generous portion of chicken Casper salad. Loads of flavour and the perfect split of ingredients including really tasty chicken breast. Finished off lunch with an excellent affogato for dessert. Will definitely be returning on the basis of this great customer experience, thank you!

Love this place. Been so many times and always good. We had Daniele this time and he was AMAZING. So attentive and very funny. Definitely recommend a visit.

Busy place! My partner and I were visiting from Canada and was sat at the bar which was no problem for us. The bar was facing the kitchen/chefs, so we had a server/waiter. He came and took our food and drink order and we didn't see him again until we got up to pay. Not sure if that's the norm, but I do appreciate someone coming to check on how our food is. My partners spaghetti was a little undercooked for his liking, but he was hungry and ate it. He shared some of my Bosco pizza which absolutely SLAPPED. Best 'European' style mergherita pizza I've ever had. My boyfriend doesn't usually go for the thin euro style but he really enjoyed it.

Very average nothing to write home about. Wife's pizza was burnt on the bottom. They add 12.5% service charge when no service given. Not acceptable. It's a pizza restaurant after all.

Myself and my family enjoyed a fantastic meal at Bosco, the service is excellent, with a buzzing atmosphere and although it was busy we didn’t have to wait long for anything. Everyone who served us, was very polite snd friendly. The food quality is superb and authentic yet the prices are so reasonable! We cannot wait to go back!

The food was exceptional as was the service. We had an excellent time that we both thoroughly enjoyed, I have now been here in three occasions and in all three the experience was the same. Excellent food, perfectly presented and prepared in a very friendly relaxed atmosphere, highly recommended.

I’ve been twice now and both times I had pizza. It’s great but I wouldn’t say the best pizza I’ve had. It’s a bit too greasy each time for me. But I’d still recommend trying! The atmosphere is always quite nice there, especially in the summer when you can sit outside and have a glass of wine when the sun is out.

Great tasting, freshly prepared food with quick service. I called in on the spur of the moment, had no issues getting seated, and took advantage of the set price lunchtime menu with lots of options to choose from. Arancini started, and Pizzza Bisco main, with half a beer moretti for around £20 including the 12.5% service charge.

Calamari bland, pizza ok, service all over the place. Asked for knife and fork and pizza cutter which was available. Didn't offer wine then after ordering bottle was left on the bar and I got it myself, by which time pizza nearly finished. Everyone running around but no one in control. Could do better!

Ate with friends here. We all had the pizza with chilli oil and honey. It was incredibly tasty. Would highly recommend coming here. The atmosphere was great as well, lively place.

My boyfriend and I ate here for the very first time as we both love Italian food, and we weren't disappointed as the reviews online for this restaurant were spot on. Although I had pasta, this time, next time, I will have pizza here. It's definitely one of my goto restaurants in Cheltenham for Italian food.

Normally I deliver to Bosco. The food always smells lovely everytime I deliver here, so I decided to come here for a meal on my weekend trip to Cheltenham. Thank you for your great service. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Just had a great relaxed lunch here which was very enjoyable. A focused but interesting menu covering pizzas but also lovely sides and bites, incl pasta dishes; meat plates; cheese; the most creamy n delicious arincini ever; and breads galore. Good wine list too with great choices of by the glass; carafe or bottle - why doesn't more places do carafes?! Service was spot on and fast but unobtrusive- Totally fab 90 minutes. Thanks everyone

Great selection for a date night! While I don't think it is quite to the level of standards as the Bristol location (Food/Service), it was still very enjoyable and we will be back. My only complaint is that it seems that they don't have 'real' bartenders. I asked if they could make a martini (to which they had all the ingredients for), and they informed me I could only order the specific cocktails from the cocktail list (about 5 or 6). It doesn't seem like the people making drinks are trained to make anything other than the few on the menu. Had to go for a nightcap somewhere else after to curb my martini craving.

Following a recommendation, I went here with a friend for dinner! We booked Counter Seating as the place was busy and no tables were available, yet we found this to be a great decision! We were very close to the authentic Pizza Ovens and Fire Lit Stoves watching our food get made. The staff were attentive and friendly and we both had a great night. Both of us found the cost for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts plus drinks very reasonable and agreed we would absolutely be attending again.

Had a great time at Bosco on Friday evening, the place was packed! Lovely energy about the venue, despite being busy it didn’t feel noisy, could still have good conversation with friends. Sat with a nice view of the gardens. This was my second visit and the food and service both times have been great. The Arancini starter is incredible and I really enjoyed the Bosco Carne pizza. I also had a espresso martini which was delicious and arrived in the cutest glass. Staff offered a recommendation for a new zucchini pizza which wasn’t on the menu, food just seems really fresh and authentic. Will definitely be returning!

When you enter the pizzeria the incredible pizza smell hits you and all you want to do is start eating pizza. I had the Calabria one and loved it. They were very generous with the nduja. I enjoyed it very much. I had a panna cotta for dessert and even though the flavour was very good it had way too much gelatine.

Smooth buzzy vibe (sat at the end of the Chef's table) and impeccable service (we only had 45 mins to order and eat unfortunately which was zero trouble despite the place being full). Food and cocktails were exquisite, and staff seemed happy in their work and were totally on it. Did I mention that we loved this place!

Flabby uninteresting pizza, uninterested service, incredibly draughty table by front door (with missing glass). Constant trickle of delivery drivers past the table. Disappointed because this place has such a strong reputation.

Stopped here by accident at lunch time and we were pleasantly surprised.
