Bosco Pizzeria in Bath and North East Somerset

Is you’re looking for a nice-looking space, delicious food and good value-money restaurant, this is the perfect place! They have a lot of seating space, and you can also sit at the bar to watch how they prep all the dishes, which is quite entertaining. There’s a great selection of starters (I recommend the bruschetta and focaccia), and then lots of pasta dishes and pizza. I must say, you have to have pizza if you come here, as they’re the best ones in Bath. Then, don’t skip dessert as their tiramisu is to die for! Alongside that, a great variety of good wine and beer on tap. Love this place!

Visited for the first time last night and it definitely won’t be the last. There was a great buzzy atmosphere and the service was great. We enjoyed creamy Burrata cheese and mussels to start followed by two gorgeous pizzas. Mine was mushroom and my husband’s had lovely anchovies. If we had any criticism at all, it would just be that it the experience was a little bit rushed but we did arrive late so that might have been why. The starters came out within minutes of us ordering and as soon as we had our starter plates taken away the pizzas were delivered. Other than that, we can highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be visiting again.

This is our absolute favourite place to go in Bath. The arancini starter is to die for, the pizzas are great and the pastas are really tasty. Staff are often quite rushed, but the low lit atmosphere is perfect for a date night, and we usually opt for a counter seat if it’s just the two of us for a romantic vibe.

Came here on a Friday evening, after having a table for two booked for a while for a birthday celebration. We were sat down and after only taking my coat off I was asked what I wanted to order, we asked for a couple of minutes but ordered a drink. As soon as the drink was ordered, we ordered our starter and main. We would say it was 2-4minutes and our starters arrived, arancini and focaccia, the arancini was good however the focaccia was more like a tough stale sourdough. I think it was less than 30 seconds after I put my cutlery down someone came and took the plates off us and our cutlery, I asked for fresh cutlery however this never was given so taking it off the freshly laid table next to us is what I had to do seeing as my food arrived 2 seconds after I finished my starter, the pizza was stone cold in the centre, we don’t believe this was fresh and more like it was microwaved, I had the rigatoni ragu, which also in the centre was cold, I just wasn’t impressed. Once finished I asked for the bill, we realised we were in this restaurant for 34 minutes. I was hoping to have a cocktail or two, but after this horrendous service I just wanted to leave, not once did we get asked how our food was etc. really dissatisfied when I was so looking forward to it.

The staff here are really good with the service they provide and the food here is Excellent, I would recommend it to anyone.

We've just had dinner at Bosco, the food was absolutely delicious and in a great setting. What took the gloss off of our experience was the long waits between courses. However, this is no fault of the staff, who were lovely, they just seemed rushed off their feet.

Visited for our works Christmas meal. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere and good quality ingredients but nothing special. Some of the pizzas come out really wet, due to the combination of toppings used. Saying all that, what really lets this place down is the service. Really disorganised, slow and at times rude. Plenty of people have commented the same in the reviews. Having a pizza served after 70 minutes is really slow service. Also more than £100 for a couple of pizzas and a starter? Seriously?

I usually go to the Bristol bosco and have been going for years but I decided to go the Bath one. We booked at 1:15pm but got stuck in traffic due to the Bath Christmas market and parking was a nightmare. We got a call bang on 1:15 to check where we were and we said we might be about 10 minutes. The woman on the phone said if we didn’t get there earlier than that then they wouldn’t hold the table for us. Her tone was really off. So I got out of the car and ran whilst my husband found a space and the same woman greeted me. Once I said my name she smirked at me - I really didn’t appreciate her attitude. Ultimately I had to wait for my husband anyway so we ordered when we ordered and the restaurant didn’t save any time, just annoyed us in the process. Fortunately we didn’t deal with her again, service after that was ok, could have been a bit friendlier generally. Food was good as ever. I was asked for feedback via their SevenRooms portal which I did, same as above. Then I got an email through saying my booking had been cancelled so I can only assume they wanted to remove my feedback. Not impressed!!

We found this place by chance while shopping g in Bath and what a stroke of luck it was. Joel and Okay were very welcoming from start to finish, the service they provided were second to none. The food was exceptional, as were the drinks and it was one of the nicest places we have ever eaten. Even though we were in Bath for a day trip from Northampton we will most definitely be back. Can’t thank the staff enough for a wonderful experience in a lovely Italian restaurant that finished our day off perfectly. Thanks guys.

Two years ago, we stumbled upon Bosco Pizzeria while exploring Bath, and it instantly became a favorite. Fast forward to our recent visit, and returning here felt like a no-brainer—we simply had to relive that unforgettable pizza experience. Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint. The pizzas were so incredible that snapping a photo didn’t even cross my mind; every bite demanded full attention. Bosco isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s where Italian flavors meet thoughtful, modern design. The space feels stylish yet welcoming, making it perfect for a cozy meal. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make your experience special. If you’re in Bath and craving top-tier Italian food, trust me—Bosco is where you want to be.

So the restaurant was half full and food took about 10/15 mins to get to the table which is about right. However we had to ask for olives again as it didn’t come out with the other starters. We also had to ask for some sauces twice over 5/6 minutes too. The bill was a nightmare and took 10 mins to sort as they essentially overcharged us because they read their own receipt wrong. It clearly said 47 total between 3 of us but because one of us left it they messed up it up which doesn’t make sense to me. It was quite obvious it’s £47 and it’s divided by 2 so £23.50 but they charged us 31.50 each. I didn’t realise this problem until they tried charging my friend the same after and I challenged why we were both paying £31.50. It took too long for them to correct and we paid for parking nearby and nearly went over the time limit because of this. I asked if we could have some form of compensation to which the member of staff just laughed. Aside from that the lights were so dim I had to put my phone light on to read the menu properly. A lot of moaning about service but the food and atmosphere was good just a shame it ended very poorly.

We stood in the waiting area for about 10 minutes without a single member of staff to assist us. Upon walking out the door a member of staff chased us only to tell us there were no tables. We have no issue that there were no tables however the staff were very rude and inconsiderate. We will not be returning.

Lovely food, simple Italian done well with good quality ingredients. The service needs to be refined but in all fairness the restaurant was extremely busy. The steak and the mixed meat selection is a must try. With the good selection of wines it’s hard not to recommend.

Pizza is amazing! 4 stars is just for service that was a bit off. Broke a wine glass on our table, wasn’t super attentive/forgot drinks, etc. Could have just been that specific night! We’ve been to the one in Bristol and have never had a bad experience. This one just wasn’t quite as good in terms of service.

Sat upstairs. Long wait for food. Given wrong order, not corrected. Then given raw dough balls for desert which were inedible. When asked to take wrong off bill, was essentially ignored. Made to feel we were a burden. Won’t be coming again. Very unpleasant staff.

One of my most favorite restaurants in Bath! Truffle pizza is very good (you can also order extra honey which goes quite well with pizza). They make really good Aperol spritz too.

6 of us ate in the upstairs restaurant on Saturday night. Absolute shambles of a meal.

Excellent food, a very busy restaurant on Saturday lunch time but front of house staff get 5 stars! Burrata with Anchovies was excellent.

Carbonate was rubbish, bacon was burnt and covered in salt, I did not eat it and refused to pay. Fushettia bread was more sourdough. Won't be going back. Spend your money elsewhere.

The servers and chefs were so brilliant with our 2 young children. They were so patient and chatty (even when the smallest knocked her glass off the table and they had to come and clear it up during the busiest rush!). The food was delicious as always. My children loved the food, especially my son who is autistic and I was concerned would just want plain spaghetti - he had the spaghetti pomodoro and devoured it. Thank you thank you thank you for a fantastic and memorable family dinner. Good value for money, always a lovely atmosphere.

One of the best places I've been out for food. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara it had to be one of the best I've ever had. The service was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere was perfect not too busy and noisy and not completely dead. Will 100% be back

First the good, the restaurant was nice, food was lovely & atmosphere was great. The bad, waitress spilled a beer over me, apologised etc but when the bill came it was for the full amount & included gratuity ! Spoke to the maitre d & she had no knowledge of the incident, apologised & immediately changed the bill. Ultimately the service was very good, just a shame about the beer being spilled over me, things happen 🤷🏼‍♂️ not the end of the world, I’d definitely go back 👍

Restaurant half empty but unable to get a table due to lack of staff I'm told. Explained 3 very hungry children and no flexibility at all. Shame.

Amazing food at an affordable price!! The hostess/manager lady was extremely nice and made us a booking on the day. Remembered our name as well as we arrived which definitely made the experience more personal! Tbh she was keeping the service together. The service really lacked for us and we felt forgotten, was never offered a second drink and had to wait 20 minutes from receiving the bill till us paying. (The higher rating was thanks to the food and the host)

Enjoyed a nice dinner here. Wouldn’t say it was my BEST pizza however this was really nice. Have seen some reviews saying that the tomato sauce is the best they’ve had however I think it was a little overpowering to the other toppings but if you’re a tomato lover this might be the place for you! I was happy that somewhere does a pizza with both artichokes and olives which was lovely as haven’t seen a pizza place which only includes these two toppings before. The atmosphere while eating outside is really lovely.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere a hidden gem in Bath. If I go back to Bath this would be my first stop for food. The balsamic vinegar with the focaccia was amazing. The pizzas so delicious.

Went here, hoping for a quick lunch arrived 11.55, ordered the special 3 courses, waited 1 hour 45 mins hadn’t even received all the courses, so disappointed with the service. So left did complain, the management didn’t se remotely bothered or apologetic. So i wouldn’t eat here again. The management needs to address the wait times !!!! Two years later and my daughter wanted to eat here again, so we did and what a difference, service food, everything was excellent. Will be eating here again.

Food was exceptionally good, Arancini were amazing, melt in your mouth soft omg. Pizza was fresh, light and flavourful. Atmosphere was great, decor was cosy, nice open kitchen plan. Unfortunately, we were served by a cocky waitress, was condescending in tone and generally unfriendly. Had to wait a while before our plates were cleared. I was even looking at the staff, signalling that we were done, but nobody batted an eye. Simple mannerisms such as 'please' and 'thank you' were non-existent... Sub par. I do recommend Bosco Pizzeria as they do serve excellent food, but urge customers to look past an unmotivated front of house.

Bosco is one of my all time favourite pizzerias to eat at. I know their service has been lacking a bit lately but its pizza is amazing and it is super cosy. I would definitely recommend to all pizza lovers!!

I’m confused as to why there is so much hype around this place, the wait for a table on a weekday was approx an hour so I had high expectations but was disappointed, the pizza lacked flavor, the cannoli tasted stale. It was average and service was slow.

Been waiting for my food for the whole hour when there are not more than 10 costumer.Also have to wait for check the bill for 20 minutes when most of the staff are standing next to the bar chatting.

More than half the restaurant empty during lunch but they still enforce a booking. This was due to staff shortage so no blame on them, the owner is obviously at fault. Shame, but luckily many good options in town.

Easily the best pizza, location and service in Bath

Three start but two of them are just for the nice pizza. The service was SO slow. We were there for over two hours and all we got was pizza and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The entire inside was empty and most tables outside were empty as well. I do not recommend if you plan to do anything else with your day.

It is a cozy restaurant with a central location. The food is so-so, i.e. neither something to shout hurray for nor something not worth eating. However, I must say that the pizza deserves 4/5 stars! The service was good, the waiter was super nice, but the little things like everyone having dishes and remembering the water were missing. Not a bad option for a meal, a little off the busy streets.

We booked after taking a look at reviews for an early sitting on Sunday evening. We were seated promptly and ordered some drinks and 2 pizzas with a meatball side. The food came out in fair time and we both enjoyed the drinks, but preferred the nduja over the amatriciana pizza, which was a bit lacking in flavour for us. The meatballs were light and flavourful. On paying the bill we were somewhat surprised at the additional service charge between the bill being shown to us and the card machine being presented, with no discussion or mention, but other than this had great service throughout.

Excellent in every way! Not only are the pizzas excellent, among the best we have tasted (and we have tasted a lot!)… In addition, the servers are friendly and smiling and the place is very pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Normally one of my favourite places to visit but I was disappointed this time. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and was told we couldn’t be seated for 20 minutes but there was 3/4 tables outside empty. The manager explained they had a busy lunch time and needed to wait till 5pm before taking dinner. I asked if we could just sit at the table for 20 minutes and not order anything and was very rudely told no and “as I just said” no tables to be sat until 5pm. We waited around the corner sat on a step as we had been shopping all day, we would’ve gone else where but my sister really wanted to go. The food was great but felt the service was really lacking and wasn’t worth the automatic service charge they add.

This place has been brilliant for years. Invigorated with a fantastic new head chef in summer 24. Brilliant Neapolitan pizza. Great pasta. Super cocktails. And the staff are lovely. One of Bath's best.

The restaurant is nice and the outdoor seating is more comfortable. Some of the food was excellent and some was good, but in general I liked it. The pasta was great and the pizza was good. The bruschetta with straccia was very delicious. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The restaurant is large and has indoor seating, and seating is also available on the second floor

The Food was not bad but not very good, but the wait-time of nearly an hour and ten minutes was unacceptable. The only reason, i give this restaurant more than 1 star, was the really nice waiter who's face looked a bit like Gavi.

Bosco pizzeria is one of the best places to eat in Bath. Booking was very quick and easy, and we were promptly seated upon arrival. The restaurant is very aesthetic and is located in a very nice part of town. A very romantic setting for couples. The seats and tables are comfortable with plenty of space between tables. The issue we encountered is one of the servers was quite aggressive and not welcoming when seating and taking our order. Starters arrived quickly and tasted delicious. I highly recommend the burratta pomodorro and calamari. Although the starters arrived quickly we had to wait over an hour for our mains. After bringing this to the attention of another server the food was brought after a further 15 minutes. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and great value for money. The spaghetti tasted great and was very filling also. Apart from the slow service Bosco is a lovely pizzeria that I highly recommend for a lovely night out.

Visited for my friends birthday as a walk in. We were seated and weren’t warned of wait time. We ordered starters and mains and asked for it to ne sent together or when ready. Service was great from our server although we could have been told on the wait for food. Our mains and starters were not served together but the food itself was very good. We ended up waiting 90 minutes for our mains after finishing the starters, and then we spoke to the manager on shift after asking for the bill. We spoke to ‘Ren’ and communicated our experience. He was not understanding of our feedback or apologetic. We were told ‘it is what it is’ and were asked if we were refusing to pay our bill. We explained we weren’t refusing to pay but we wanted to be heard and there was no empathy from him with any offers to comp/discount us for the poor experience we had at the restaurant. We all work in hospitality and we understand that it was a busy Saturday evening but the way that ‘Ren’ dealt with the situation was very poor and I recommend more training for this individual. I will not be returning to Bosco due to the way that we were dealt with as unhappy customers.

Love, love Bosco! The staff are great, especially as it's a popular restaurant, yet they still manage to be lovely. The food arrived in a timely fashion - there was a bit of a wait, but nothing excessive plus the restaurant was full (inside and out) and it was delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in Bath.

Incredible food and atmosphere. My partner and I both ordered a pizza each and it was the best I've ever had in the UK.

One of the best lunches I've had in a long time. Sat at the pass watching magnificent coordination, respect to each of the chefs and sheer passion from all. Wine was great, freshly slice prosciutto was excellent, buratta was oozy as it should and the dessert of Italian fried doughnuts was just excellent. Get a special of all the nibbly bits on a board. Thank you chef for the canoli was really good! Truly a hidden gem, thanks for letting watch!

We were fooled by the good reviews here and went there for dinner. It took a long time until we were served. Unfortunately the beer we ordered was out. I was recommended another one. After 5 minutes I was informed that this was also out (shouldn't you find out what else is there first?). The caprese consisted of unripe tomatoes and dried basil... after that we waited for over 1.5 hours and were put off because the kitchen couldn't keep up with the food. After I gave the waiter a deadline, the pizza finally arrived. The waiter then got offended and ignored us until we paid. If we had been told at the beginning that the food would take longer, we would have been honest and then we would have decided to stay or go. The male waiter's reaction was completely unprofessional.

Visiting from America, Mike, was our server, he was the nicest guy ever! Took time to make out a list of the best things to do in bath for us. Spent time just chatting and making us feel right at home! Food was so good, atmosphere was very welcoming. I highly recommend this place !!

By far the best restaurant in Bath! Watching the chef run the pass and control the flow of the food coming out was very entertaining. Basically dinner and a show. The pizza and pasta was beyond amazing and there’s no way this place deserves anything less that 5 stars! I would give it more if I could.
