Bookpoint is a great hub for the community. I love that I can find new and local authors through to unique children’s books all of which feel thoughtfully selected. Great to have this available in Dunoon.

Wow! A fantastic traditional bookshop with a wide selection of books for all interests. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and a wee coffee corner where you can sit and peruse prospective purchases.

Great selection on Dunoon main street

My fiancé and I visited Dunoon on the bank holiday Sunday, 31.03.24. We recieved a very warm welcome from the owner of this lovely book shop/cafe whilst we were waiting for our room to be ready in the Argyle hotel. Unfortunately we didn’t end up staying at the hotel and headed back to Glasgow. This book shop was the only place we had a positive experience whilst in Dunoon. If they had a room here we most definitely would have stayed. Thank you for your hospitality, Khal and Dan, all the way from Manchester :)

Great coffee and always always made with love. In my last visit I bought a book with the help of the lovely young man serving. A valid point to me going every time I'm in town is I can get a coffee before 9am and after 4pm a very satisfied customer 🙏

Visited this lovely shop today and I really did not want to leave! Where I’m from, the nearest bookstore is 15miles away but even so, it’s nowhere near as cosy and personal as this place. Myself and my son really enjoyed the vast selection of books on offer & it was difficult to narrow down some choices. Customer service was excellent as well which always makes a difference. Friendly and professional. Looking forward to coming back soon 🩵

Love shopping here. There's a welcoming feel as you walk through the door, and as I walk around, there's always something that catches my eye.

As an avid reader i never found this to be my taste. There was no cafè inside, just a coffee machine.

Purchased Michael Moss book on the family history of the Kennedy family at Culzean which I had previously not seen. The Bookshop full of a tremendous range of books .Anyone with an interest in the Social Sciences and anything to do with Scotland will find a visit here truly rewarding.,Glad I have found this shop and will certainly return to browse and purchase.Thanks for maintaining such a brilliant outlet.

Visited a few times when Holy Loch Base was open. Loved it, and bought a lot of historical works that I read back underway. I hope to return to the town and the store some day. Store had a nice mix of 'serious' books, along with toys, cards and such. The staff was delightful. A much nicer shop than the large chain bookstores in the US.

What an interesting book shop, Aladdin's cave. Fair enjoyed mooching round, came away with a few wee treats.

Some fantastic books here. I personally went in for Scottish children's books for my grandchildren, to which, I bought seven. Very good prices.

Bookpoint is truly an asset to Dunoon. They stock a superb variety of books, stationery and gifts. The staff (particularly Taylor, with whom I have dealt on numerous occasions) are incredibly helpful and attentive.

Fabulous local Bookshop, including a great children's section, with some Gaelic and Scots choices in there too. Taylor is so helpful, so welcoming. Lovely selection of cards, gifts and crafts also.

Brilliant local bookshop. Great selection of books and knowledgeable attentive staff. I like to pop in whenever I'm in town. I recently ordered a book online and they were able to get it in store and even deliver to Manchester very quickly for a fantastic price. They kept in touch with me throughout the whole process and we're very polite. Highly recommend.

Great team and great service. When you know what you want but don't have all the info, the help you receive is brilliant. If they don't have it in stock (which is rare) the ordering service is second to none, much faster and more reliable than Amazon. Thank you.

A lovely privately run bookshop in Dunoon. It sells other craft products, jewellery, toys, from named artists. It has a cosy corner just two tables and a HUGE coffee machine..plus teas and delish cakes.

We visited Dunoon last Sunday while on holiday in the area & although there was not a lot of places open, we came upon Bookpoint Coffee Lounge which I would suggest is a lovely place to visit. Not only do they have hundreds of books to browse through but also some lovely quirky gifts & to top it all, they serve lovely coffee & cakes. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the gentleman who served us but he was lovely, chatty & made us feel very welcome.

Excellent bookshop, well stocked (including great kid's section) friendly helpful staff. Has a wee cafe too. Also has a lovely selection of gifts and cards.

Visited over Christmas and was served by an incredibly rude member of staff. I was looking for a specific book, but ended up walking out.

Nice little bookshop but the woman who works there is incredibly rude. Visited quite a few times recently over Christmas and the way she speaks to people isn't all right. Avoid.

Visited with my wife during a weekend visit to Dunoon - the book shop is lovely, great selection and reasonably priced. The Café was largely disappointing - there's nothing I love more than a bookshop café but the coffee wasn't good and the cake tasted a little stale. Recommend the bookshop, but head somewhere else if you're looking for coffee & cake.

Popped in here on way to the ferry on our way home after a week in Dunoon. Such a lovely shop and what looked like lovely home baking in their small cafe bit. A lovely and wide range of books for sale and nice wee gifts.

Three very squashed tables inside bookshop but excellent coffee and very good cakes. Very small so you may not get a seat.

Went just before Christmas - there was only one table available. The other two tables were covered with goods. It is lovely to sit with coffee and cake and read books. However it was very crushed and twice I had to move to allow people into the window display ! Please return to more space for the café!

A lovely wee Bookshop with Scottish souvenirs and so on, but also a Coffee Shop to boot! Lovely friendly Scottish ladies served fresh, hot, tasty coffee with smiles, and we sat in a very tiny area amidst Scottish jewellery in glass cases, and books and Tartan souvenir items.......

As a side-line to a comprehensive book and gift shop, Bookpoint serves the best coffee in Dunoon with excellent home-baked treats.

I just love this book shop that sells so much more than books. I love popping in for a browse and a very good cup of coffee with milk on the side. Friendly helpful staff ~ I pop in at least twice a week. Sells cake also!!!!
