We have bee going to this chippy for years and have never been disappointed.Since changing hands, we have tried it a few times but never again not freshly cooked and the batter had no crispness to it at all.

Used to be really good quality food. But last couple of times I've been in the food has been very greasy and tasteless. Such a shame went here quite regularly for our chippy etc

This place is so good you wont care about dying of hyperlipidemia

Probably the best chippy in kilmarnock, all cooked while you wait and the staff are always welcoming and up for a laugh with customers. In the time since we started going to the chippy we have never had a disappointing meal. Can't recommend this chippy highly enough well worth trying.

Best fish and chip shop in Kilmarnock. The only other one that comes close in the Wellbeck, also in Kilmarnock. If you are in the area, forget the rest and go right here for the best chip shop food I'm Killie.

A very good wee place for chippy food and other snacks. One of the best around if only we could get delivery I would use more often as we stay to far to walk there. Still can't argue with the food served up.

Nice food, not too greasy and quick friendly service. Not really wheelchair accessible due to step and narrow waiting area. Kids menu available.

Fantastic chip shop, food is excellent, would recommend if you have not already tried it.

The amount of gravy/curry sauce,cheese and peas is ridiculous for the price paid. I would recommend people go to Fryday's where protions are bigger and cheaper.

Excellent. I was working late and was hungry, must have been at least 21:30, I wasn't sure if they were still open, fortunately they were. I ended up with a sausage supper which considering the time of night was so fresh and piping hot, not to mention a huge plateful. Really impressed.

Top notch and has been for years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else locally for a fish supper.

Recently revamped and tastefully appointed, friendly staff and the food cooked beautifully. They have a slick system in busy times where your order is taken half way up the queue, so that when it's your turn to be served its ready for you. Thoroughly recommend visiting. If you do you will go back.... .

We popped in here for some food as we haven't been in years. The menu looked good with a wide variety on offer. There was a fairly large que but it didn't take long to get served and the food was absolutely delicious, one of the nicest chippies we've been too in a while, everything was cooked fresh in front of you and it was quite reasonably priced compared to other chippies around. We will definitely be back!

Poor service, wife's scampi over cooked my fish supper, my first fish was hard, and batter over cooked 2nd was not bad except for the grease, very disappointed as they recently reopened, not sure I will be back, and the price increase, is not for the customers to pay for.

I would take the Queen of engeland there to sample THE best of fare

Just had a single fish, 2 bits for a fiver, nice, crisp batter, fresh lovely fish, I've one complaint and itd have spoiled the whole thing if I never said- I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar which I said yes to as I love plenty. The young woman had the fish one on top of the other and seasoned only the top one! I saw her starting to wrap it and said " could you do the other one too?' I mean how lazy not to lift one and season the one underneath? What would that have been like ? Eat one well seasoned tasty fish then a bland tasteless unseasoned one? So well done, but for you the servers laziness and lack of care and attention this was gonna be a 5 star review! Maybe it's just a fiver but I worked hard to get that cash and I don't expect to get parted from it for sub standard work. At the end of the day it'scareless atitude by staff like this that cost good chefs and cooks their reputations. I'm a chef and had I put a good meal out only for it to be so easily ruined by something so simple I'd be going nuts. The fella can fry, he really can, unfortunately the care he took to ensure he had fresh fish and crispy batter was ruined.

Food always very good, and reasonably priced. No complaints in that department at all. However, having visited a couple of times in recent months, there has been little regard given to safe social distancing of customers. On one occasion, staff were literally asking more people to cram into the already busy shop. Made me feel very uncomfortable.

Wasn't impressed with food got 2 fish suppers n fritters was very greasy couldn't eat half of 1 bit of fish won't b in any hurry to go back

Normally a regular place to visit every time I'm in Kilmarnock (My home town). My last visit really will be my last visit. The chips were an undercooked wet mess that fell out of the paper in a brick and my smoked sausage, normally cooked to a crisp perfection was just a let down. (My wife and mother both had the macaroni cheese supper and were equally unimpressed.) For what was once best in Ayrshire, a huge fall from grace.

The best chippy. Food cooked fresh to order. First started eating here about 5 years ago when I worked with the toon. They used to do a 2 quid special at lunch. Was class. Still drive down now if it's a supper I'm after. Worth driving an extra 10 minutes. Chips are perfect. Good fillets of fish and a light crispy coating. Guys are brand new aswell. Price is reasonable for the quality of food.

Best chip shop in Kilmarnock by far, you can see why there is always a queue. The staff are friendly and very well organised meaning you won't wait long and the food is consistently great, definitely out family favourite
