Reviewing this as someone who got a takeaway (the weather was TERRIBLE when I visited Kilmarnock). My bestest best told me I should try their "Kilmarnock Pie" which has won awards. Oh my god... I could see why. Super delicious gravy and meat, with incredibly flaky crust. I look forward to actually visiting Brownings in person the next time I visit!

Best pie in the U.K. Delicious food 😋. Every time we’re in Kilmarnock we get some Killie pie and eat it right away. Yummy, yummy

Finding this location can be a challenge but it's well worth seeking out this industrial site in Kilmarnock. The shop is like a Portakabin hut attached to the main bakery - minimal food miles and the pies should be very very fresh as the shop is literally at the bakery gate! The queue for lunch was an interesting mix of Browning's own staff, local factory employees, assorted Joe Publics, the Royal Mail, Yodel delivery drivers and railway workers. The ladies in the hut are very welcoming and happy to make suggestions for a special lunchtime deal (pie/pastry, cake and a drink). Pam and Kate were in fine form keeping the queue moving with great service and some entertaining banter. This team know exactly what they are doing and we rather enjoyed our lunch - and it didn't break the bank either. Thank you ladies - you are doing a fine job from this customer's standpoint and that lunch kept us going all afternoon.

This brought back memories of my childhood living in Kilmarnock. A delicious pie in a Brownings well fired Scotch roll. I live in England and can get Scotch rolls but not well fired and nothing like as good, there is nothing like the taste of these and those made by Brownings are the best.

We visit here often, tucked away in the industrial estate, its a great little shop for lunch and everything is made fresh to order. They even sell chips! Highly recommend this place!

Thoroughly enjoyed the rolls and sausage and bacon from here the other day. Needed a warming in the cold wet weather and this wee kiosk was surprisingly good. Decent sausage and bacon prepared properly and served efficiently. If you are at the Bus Station go and check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed

Higher prices and smaller portions. First time I've still felt hungry after a chippie.

my experience was good however I was very disappointed to find that I couldn't get peking sauce on the menu that's not good that choice should be there

Firstly, we tried to order on the in-house screen. The first screen was out of order. The second didn't have the glass cover to scan our code. Then the third wouldn't accept our code, meaning we had to order at the counter, therefore not getting our points in the app! And that was all before we'd even got a seat to have some food. The food itself was fine. Fresh & hot, although we hadn't been asked what sauce we wanted, or given napkins or salt... As is usual on a Friday, the restaurant was busy, and quite a few of the tables needed cleaned/cleared. There was an okdrr (small) woman, who seemed to be doing everything by herself. She was constantly delivering food to cars outside, emptying bins, and appeared to be the only person out front, working hard. After our main food, we ordered McFlurrys via the app. We waited almost 15mins for these. As previous mentioned, the food itself was good, but it certainly wasn't our best experience of dining at MacDs 😢
