Bonnies Fish & Chips in Wirral

Came across this place by accident on my way home from New Brighton. Ordered a Chicken Chow Mein and Char Siu Satay, I never bother writing reviews but these both tasted so good I felt I had to write one. The pineapple in the Satay was a nice touch. Thanks, I’ll be back again next time I’m in the area

Bonnies has been my favorite choice of a mixed Chinese and English meals. It's now open again. I treated myself to a full mixed grill today £8.20 but you get alot for that price.

Usually love the food at Bonnies, but the beef mushroom and rice was terrible! The sauce was like water, bland as anything and the beef was also about 80% water - barely recognisable as beef! The sweet and sour chicken was OK, and the bbq ribs were good. Delivery was also good.

Have rang restaurant twice to see were are ordered is was sent out still hadn't arrived been waiting nearly 2 hours

Erm if I get a Chinese for first time from so we’re I always get special fried rice if it’s good I go back sorry I saw a picture on what I supposed to be ordering what I got was poor my egg to go on top of it was solid rice no flavour chicken couldn’t find it sorry not be ordering again shame I was recommended the place

Fast delivery, but missed drink and the chips weren’t very warm

The ribs were full of sinews and they were very small. Poor quality products

Unfortunately bit disappointed today which is sad as normally really good from here . Missed out one item and the prawn toast was so try like it wasn’t made fresh and had like no prawn in it 😢

was out for delivery at 6.50 turned up at 7.35, chips were soggy an Cold along with the sausage, savoury cake soggy an not very nice only thing that was OK was the fried rice normally really nice from here and super quick

The fried noodles were awful! No beansprout in them just literally noodles and for £3.80 I think thats a rip-off

Delivered 30 minutes after delivery time and two portions of chips missing. Contacted the shop and was told it'd be chased up. 30 mins and still waiting for any info/replacement whilst the other food goes cold.

Over 2 hour wait for spring rolls and noodles i had cooked a Shepard's pie by the time the order come… never again wouldn’t mind but the chippy is 10 minutes from my house they would not even keep the food and refund me (Do not order)

We ordered and asked for chicken fried rice with no vegetables and it came with vegetables and also the gravy sauce was missing from our order. Tried ringing the number on here and google and it’s out of use. No way of making contact. 👎🏻

Worst food to date fish batter was solid gravy was like water and the Sui mai were rank

Had too wait ages for delivery and was very disappointed when it arrived. The fish I ordered had more batter than fish, the chips were full of bits and hard and the batter on the savoury was very tough. Altogether my fella and I spent just over £20.00 and most of it was not edible and definitely not up too their usual standards so not sure I will order a delivery again.

Extremely unwell all day after dinner from here lastnight. My partner is the only one who didn't have some rice she's the only one that's not poorly.

This food was so late it’s ridiculous…. Over an hour late is unacceptable. This is the 2nd time in 2 nights this has happened. I ordered the food at 18:45. I am still waiting at 20:27!! I was told at 19:49 it was on its way..!!??

don't usually leave reviews but had to tonight, the fish was amazing! it's been so long since I've had fish with proper nice batter from anywere, noticed the fried rice has changed since I was last here, was a bit worried because it had spring onions in and I'm a bit weird and don't like things changing haha, but it was nicer than I remember, new chef? either way best Chinese ive had in ages!

They had my 92 year old mum standing and waiting over 10 mins waiting for a fish and a carton of curry. Served 4 other people who came in after her before she was delt with. They were more concerned with dealing with telephone orders. My mum was in person in the shop and had paid strait away. They were more interested i people who were not there nor had paid. If my mum had not paid we would have walked out. When we were eventually served we had got about 50 yards out the door and a girl who looked about 12 who was serving came running up said we had been given the wrong order. I informed her that my mum was 92 and needed to get home to sit down. I did not stop and got my mum home. I will never use this place again and through me they have lost X 6 customers

Love this place ! The prawn toast was too oily and mushy this time unfortunately but rest was lovely !

Fish was dry and inedible chips cold but tasted nice once warmed up . Love the batter crab sticks from here but food wasn’t good today unfortunately

The food here was always really nice and our definite chippy go to. We put an order in the other week through foodhub on a fri. We were unaware that they shut at 9.30. We ordered at 9.20 and the order was accepted. The money was taken. 5 mins later I got a message saying the order had been rejected and I would get my money back in 3 - 5 working days. This didn't help with it being the last of my money and having hungry kids to feed. Yes the money back is down to Foodhub but why accept the order? Yesterday we again ordered but made sure it was earlier. It was 9.05pm. The order was accepted once again. 10 mins later we get a message saying that the order has been rejected. It has put us right off! The food is nice if you can actually get it! We've found a new chippy!

First time and last time ordering from here. Chips were awful. Fish needed a chainsaw to cut through it. Quality of chicken used very poor. All round disappointing.

The food here is lovely and they always take note of any messages we add, and make changes to suit our dietary preferences. Bonnie's has become our favourite takeaway. Definitely recommend

The container you are using now are rubbish... ordered two curry rice and chips and the bottom one was squashed and leaked. They don't hold their shape when hot. Please use something else

Unfortunately the batter was not cooked properly and was quite soggy/rubbery. Salt and pepper chips were ok. First time we have ordered but won’t be ordering again.

Over an hour & 10mins for 2x sausage, chips and gravy. The new takeaway containers are not worth anything if you sauce in there, they go all floppy and they don’t hold their shape. Chips were rock hard.

Shocking ! Delivery driver was great service at restaurant was terrible ! Waited nearly 2 hours for food and main meal missing , then another 45 min wait and the food was cold !

I live in Bootle, over the other side of the water and this is the only chippy ill ever order food from. Salt and Pepper Tofu, friend rice and veg spring rolls are amazing. As someone who's orders here every other week they always provide really tasty food. 😋

Terrible. Pie missing. Chips overcooked and greasy. Chicken overcooked and greasy. Duck lukewarm had fo reheat. When the best part of a meal is the gravy yoh know you have a problem. Whem you work a 12 hour shift and decide to order food in it beggars belief that in an age where you can spend your money in hundreds of places one you choose cannot even get the basics right...hot food. Tasty food and hey even getting the order right...never again!

Lovely food only issue is the just eat did not say my meal included rice or chips so I order chips as an extra and have just had to throw the rice away x not an issue due to the chip shop more a just eat issue but great food x

We ordered after seeing great reviews. The food was supposed to arrive between 5.50 and 6.10. At 6.20 I called the restaurant to get an update as the app believed the food had been delivered. The staff member stated it would be with us shortly. Another 20 mins passed before calling again for an update. We had young children who needed to be fed. This time they called the driver and said it would be with us shortly. The driver arrived 5 mins later and blamed the 2 new starters who messed the orders up. The food was cold, didn’t taste great and arrived almost an hour after the app stated.
