Food was great and wait time was not as long as I expected. Great ambience and great Ghanaian music.

The way I am fuming for my experience just now, if I’m honest the only thing saving them is how the food taste. I cancelled with another African restaurant on ‘just eat’ and said let me go with what i know.. anyhow i saw they have a website which gives you the option to order ‘online’, which I did. I then got an separate email confirmation of my order!!!! I go there to be told they don’t do online orders, I’m saying but I have email confirmation! Nope “its an old system” actually what he ment was it’s being built up. SO WHY IS IT LIVE??????????? I left my house thinking I’m going to collect food, expecting some hearty homemade food. To find out what I wanted was NOT EVEN AVAILABLE! Mortified now, no accountability and the blessed owner has a even worst ATTITUDE. Omg there was such a nice customer who really tried to do some damage control and I appreciate her but by then I refuse to spend my money with them. Fed up of unprofessionalism snd bad attitudes tbh. Food actually taste good, which is such a shame

Fui al bar Bongo el pasado domingo por la noche con un par de amigos. Nos lo pasamos genial y disfrutamos de la deliciosa comida. Nos sirvieron rápidamente y disfrutamos del animado ambiente y la música de fondo. Me encantaría volver de nuevo.

Aparte de la sopa ligera para el fufu que es suave, la tilapia y el arroz jollof tienen un sabor exquisito. ¡La gallina ginea es buena para chuparse los dedos! El banku y la okra es muy agradable. El servicio al cliente podría ser mejor, ya que nuestro servidor principal no fue particularmente atento. Les daría otra oportunidad. . . aunque he estado una vez con mi marido y otra vez con mi familia. Recuerde que nosotros somos los que visitamos, así que al menos déjenos sentirnos bienvenidos y dígale a su chef que preste atención en cada plato. La espera por la comida es bastante larga. . . así que sería bueno tener un heads-up o nueces mientras esperamos.

Absolutely dreadful. Took over an hour for half of the food to arrive. Asked the waitress for updates of the food and she didn't have a clue. This is not the first time.

Cocina columbiana original. Ricissimo! Barato. Original columbianische Küche. Superlecker! Sehr grosse Portionen, sehr faire Preise, Paella etwas viel Öl. Kunderportion reicht für zwei. Sehr nette Bedienung.

Every time I’m in London I try to go there fir a take away or ear there since I can’t cook myself due to time. Banku with okro stew yummy:)

On both of my occasions I got a takeaway. We ordered two peshwari naans and We only got one, and so I could only eat poppadoms and it left me very unsatisfied. Got another takeaway last night and although we received everything we ordered, the food is pretty bad. There's little to no flavour, and the peshwari naan was especially disappointing. I do not recommend this place, and I will not be ordering from here again.

I discovered this place last year when my friend suggested it, and ever since I keep going back! I loved it so much that I booked it out for my Birthday in January. Go and check it out! Ademola

Visited here for a casual date night. It wasn't a great experience to be quite frank. We were made to come up to the bar to place out orders for our food even though the restaurant was practically empty - they had 3 people behind the bar! The tables are not designed to be sat at unless you're 5'2. Your seating position is massively impacted by a table brace underneath making for a very uncomfortable sitting. I ordered jollof and meat for which the meat was a mixed option. There was no clarification as to what this meat actually was on the menu. When it came the goat inside the stew was unbelievably chewy and the beef was really hard. Will not be eating here again as the flavours weren't very complimentary.

Food So, the Bongo bar of yesteryear made smoky suya kebabs, and tasty Ghanaian dishes. The present day bongo bar makes improvised kebabs full of just salt and pepper and left in the oven for far too long. The rest of their food is just full of curry (full stop). I went there last night and after several washes, I'm still trying to wash off the curry smell from my fingers. Tasteless food - if you are not just looking to get drunk buy masking pepper with expensive Alvaro, Ghanaian beer and imitation Fanta from Nigeria, then don't eat here. Atmosphere The customers do create a nice atmosphere. The place is cleaner than it used to be with the silly all red deco replaced by brighter and more modern one. They even print you proper receipt with the "no service charge" statement. Now talking about service charge...... Service OMG. Well, there is now a young lady who, by Bongo bar standards, is quicker on her feet and does try her best*. The other two ladies, I guess the owner and her daughter never smile and are probably the slowest pair in the restaurant business. They are rude and think that the business is all about banging bowls of TZ and waakye on the table and collecting the money. They stand behind the counter with the only man in the team (at least he smiles sometimes) and take the orders or whatever they do and leave the poor single employee to serve all the diners. I guess what they need is some good competition. My friends and I decided to collect all our change and leave no tip - service charge? What service? Don't get me started all over again! It is a good place to meet up with friends in a good central location so I may go there again and update this review. I will not be touching any curry though.

An einem sehr kalten und sehr belebten Osterweekend habe ich einen Tisch direkt am Fenster ergattern können. Zwei wirklich bezaubernde Damen ganz in rot gekleidet haben mir gleich ein Lächeln in das Gesicht gezaubert. Übernommen hat dann Dominika mit einem herzlichen Lächeln im Gesicht ist es eine große Freude den Ausblick über London zu genießen. Wer an belebten Tagen etwas Zeit zum warten aufbringen kann dem sei die Bar bestens empfohlen. Sehr gerne wieder und bis hoffentlich ganz bald.
