Bolu Kebab Restaurant in Southwark

Very popular, friendly, well run and tasty, not expensive either. Kebabs very good but the falafel are terrific. Got a restaurant out the back but I’d guess the prolific counter trade well exceeds it. High recommended. Open until at least 3am. Generally regarded as the latest opening grab food place in this part of South East London.

This is me and my partners regular and has been for years. The food quality is fantastic and I love the little seating area out back.

The food is amazing. Soo tasty and chicken Donner has soo much flavour. Halal and friendly staff also. Very reasonably priced for 2 ppl. Regular customer for a few years.

Chips si por favor. Tan bueno. No he probado mucho más, pero ya sea sobrio o borracho, sus gruesas patatas fritas crujientes son las mejores.

Staff are friendly and serve you well. Good is good. Chips with vinegar and salt are good. Combination menu is what was better for my friends and they too enjoyed the food.

Nos sentamos para almorzar y nos sorprendió la calidad y cantidad de la comida para los platos tan bien servidos (en cantidad y combinación). La atención fue fantástica, muy agradable y terminaron con un pequeño té y dulce tradicional como invitación de la casa. Sin duda repetiremos si estamos en la zona.

Better than average local kebab joint. Friendly staff, long opening hours. Pittas or wraps plus good starters and whole grilled sea bass. Cash only restaurant out the back. Eaten there a few times and quality remains consistent.

We as a family went to Bolu to capture memories from my childhood having lived in Camberwell all my youth and they didn’t disappoint. Lovely food I had the curry kebab which was tasty and plentiful My family had all different with no complaints and with 2 teenagers that’s quite something Excellent atmosphere value for money A hidden gem.

Me and my boyfriend admire this place! They serve the best kebab and also traditional Turkish dishes in London for REALLY CHEAP, sometimes they even charge us less! Every time we get a free starter mad of olives, hummus and sauces. Staff is always friendly and funny, they go extra mile very time we are there (e.g. they always grill green peppers out of the menu for us which we love). We usually have mix grill or kebab but burgers are also a great choice however, be cautious- they are HUGE. We always come back home with take away rests of out meals.

Bolus is the one and only kabab shop as far as my family are concerned!whether getting a take away or eating in the food and the service are amazing.Great atmosphere with friendly,helpful staff who cannot do enough for you.Food is delicious and generous portions. Dave/Jackie Camberwell

Big portions, tasty meals for reasonable prices. Go for the home made burger that will make you full for just £5!

I live near by so I'm coming to pick up food from here from time to time. Never been disappointed!! From kebabs thru wrap to finish on falafel - its always been tasty!! Service is also very friendly! Highly recommended!

Simplemente nos impresionó, no esperábamos encontrar en Camberwell los más ricos durums que hemos comido. Y tanto el cocinero (que habla español) como la camarera fueron muy amables y correctos, el local limpio. Buen precio, buena calidad y buena cerveza turca.

Staff are always so polite me and my friends go there at least once a week and sit in... the steaks are soo good and great value waiter is very sweet always very happy

Mejores kebabs en Londres. Comí aquí casi dos veces a la semana. Normalmente los alas de pollo a la parrilla Dios mío. abrevadero de la boca. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

I have only ever used Bolu for the takeaway aspect of the restaurant - which is at the very front - and we do so probably twice every three weeks. The staff (and newish owner who is generally onsite) are now all very friendly and professional. The whole takeaway and shop has relatively recently had a refurb (we ate take-away from there before) and it looks fantastic - I would now even eat in the restaurant if typical kebab style food is what you want. The place is always immaculately clean, the food is fresh and tasty. I normally have either the chicken or lamb skewers which are delicious, but recently I even tried their home-made lamb burger which was a treat for those who like slightly spicy food. Prices are exceptionally reasonable and I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone.

I asked for chips, One of the chefs touched two raw cuts of meat then wiped his hands on a towl before handling someones chips...clearly, from that two minutes that I spent in the restaurant no one had ever heard of washing their hands with soap or anti bacterial handwash. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful, how they ever got the all clear as a chef is beyond me.

I tried bolu kebab before it was refurbished it was disgusting and i never went back.. My favourite local kebab shop was golden grill but one of their chefs left' he went across and bought bolu kebab i didnt know that i kept going golden grill but realised they wher going down really fast.. The food quality was getting poor everytime. the staff was very impolite very rude i started hating them.. I thought i need to find a new kebab shop i saw bolu kebab it was refurbished it looked spotless very clean very nice very fresh i went in to try once again and i saw the chef over from golden grill he said he had bought the shop i was really happy because the guys from goldengrill told me he had moved from the country.. Now my new shop is bolu. the staff are jokes very friendly very welcoming the food is always fresh the salads fresh very tasty meat very hygienic i just love it.. It beats goldengrill anyday everyday I definitely recommend bolu kebab to everyone you must go their for sure!!

Margaret Thatcher once famously said that there was no such thing as society. Restaurants like this prove her wrong. All across the country, millions of people from all walks of life unite behind one shared act. Drunken students, late-working cleaners and the depressed and downtrodden of the nation bask in the cool familiarity of that age-old question "You want burger sauce?".You do want burger sauce. You want a kebab with everything. Any deviation from this simplicity and you've missed the point. Despite what Bolu management want you to believe, this is not a serious restaurant. This is a kebab shop and a gem of one at that. The falafel are probably the best in South London, made in small batches and fried up to order, but even they can't steal the show away from a sweaty pillar of meat slowly revolving on a spike, glistening in the strip lighting. Everyone entering looks ugly, stupid and miserable, like they'd been waiting an hour in the rain to get broken up with. Everyone leaving looks as though they've found a purpose. Like a monk, they have found a higher calling and will shun worldly concerns for at least ten minutes while they tear apart a flatbread stuffed with spiced shavings of lamb flesh.It's not big, it's definitely not clever, but it is exactly what you should eat when you decide that you didn't much like being skinny or sober anyway.

Don't know about their dishes but the coffees/lattes are awful!I had to ask them 3 times because of the traffic noise. One of the two didn't even know what a latte was.'It's on your menu?!'

We have used Bolu Kebab delivery for many years in South London. Always loved it. Kind of healthy for a take away....grilled meat, plenty of salad, fresh taramasalata etc.However, we ordered from here 2 weeks ago to find it is under new management. Sadly very disappointing. Very small salad portion. Dry meat and pitta. No chilli sauce included. Quite cold on arrival. We will give the benefit of doubt and hope the new Management are simply finding their feet.Will try again in a few weeks.
