Bocconcino Restaurant and Pizzeria in City of London, Westminster

Due to train delays, we were 15 mins late. Hostess at the door before even saying hello, stated to us very loudly that we only have 1.5hrs at the table. The obvious didn’t need to be stated, even before even a ‘hello’ Buffet food was diabolical. Seafood: Lobster was cold and rubbery. Prawns were cold and over salted. Oysters were decent. Salads were fresh. Cold meats were poor quality and again, salty. Texture was strange due to being in a warm part of the restaurant. Buffet pasta dishes were indescribable and dry, very dry. The lasagne (I think that’s what it was) especially. Desserts were tolerable. I was especially looking forward to the canoli, to have with my coffee - they were soft, no crunch at all. Tiramisu and fruit tart were okay. A la carte Mushroom pasta was nice. A la carte pizza was nice. This was a special occasion, our wedding anniversary. There was nothing special about the experience at this restaurant. To top it off, the restaurant had only been open 15 minutes before we arrived, and the toilet was filthy. The filth was not new either. The toilet/washroom had obviously not been cleaned from the night before. If it wasn’t for the fact it was December, 1 week before Xmas, our wedding anniversary, and I knew trying to get a table anywhere else in London at short notice would have been impossible, I’d have not even sat down at the table, after the rude hostess at the start of our experience. Sadly it went from bad to worse. Our waitress at the table was very professional. The singer and guitar player were a nice touch. The rest of the staff were ill trained, yawning and slouching around the restaurant. 2/10 experience - would not recommend

Not value for money as only bottomless for hour and half. Felt a bit short changed. Wouldn’t go back

We arrived and were not made to feel very welcome being greeted by a very unaccomadating member of staff. With our table not ready we were sent to the lounge area to wait. We then proceeded to wait at least 15 mins to be asked if we wanted drinks and we had to ask a waiter to order some drinks- very disappointing. Following onto the table we were greeted by Fredricka who looked after us very well and the food to a high standard as well. Just unfortunate how the early events tainted our experience.

The restaurant area was beautiful and service very prompt but too prompt if you want a leisurely dinner as we were advised the minute we were seated the table was required back after 1.5 hours. Also not seated where the music was playing which was the whole point of our visit so if you want to hear the music you may need to request specifically which we hadn’t.

Very nice atmosphere. Good music. Very tasty food. I loved special dish with prawns and garlic. And it was the best tiramisu I have ever tried. Our server was amazing. He made my birthday even better. Grazie. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Really fab food! Best Italian we’ve had on the Central Lindon area. Rafa our waiter was really great and super attentive. Decor is so aesthetic as well.

Lovely restaurant with a great choice on the menu. Service was very attentive if a little slow but when you’re on a night out enjoying company and the scenes I don’t want my food rushed, the food was delicious and the restaurant is in the famous Mayfair. What more do you want!!

The bottomless lunch was an absolute treat! The food was not only delicious but also offered a great variety, especially the selection of meats and fish for starters. One standout feature was the option to choose a pasta dish, freshly prepared to order—I opted for the mushroom pappardelle, and it was exquisite. The service was warm and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The bottomless offering lasts for 1.5 hours from the time of your reservation, giving you plenty of time to indulge. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it!

The upstairs experience had very bad service, even by the female general manager. The food came out extremely quick, wasn’t even good value for money. Our appetizer plates hadn’t even been collected when they brought out the main dishes, they seemed very unorganized and rushed! plus they got our order wrong and one of our party didn’t receive their main dish until after the rest of the table had eaten. The pizza looked terrible! I don’t normally complain but I’m shocked at how bad the service (upstairs) was! Would NOT recommend this restaurant

Absolutely recommend a meal here!Offering authentic Italian and delicious food which we could not fault. We ate twice in one week which is unusual for us but it stood out for its relaxed atmosphere and great, lovingly produced food. 100% worth a visit.

What a fantastic Italian restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely manager Gianni and Silvia. We have eaten here many times since it opened and have now tried most of the menu and can highly recommend everything. Seafood risotto to die for and if there's something not on the menu they are happy to oblige. As a special treat we ordered a lobster pasta (not on the menu) it was so incredible we had it several times. Starters mains and deserts are all very good and the restaurant is not expensive great prices on food and wine a truly fantastic restaurant if you don't try you really are missing out on excellent Italian food. Great restaurant worth to visit. We had a wonderful, fresh grilled john dory and seafood risotto. Food was really fresh and tasty, staff very nice and polite. We also liked the atmosphere of this place. I strongly recommend eating there.

Very welcoming, professional and friendly. You have directly a sensation of being welcome. The food is quite good. Plates are prepared with caution and are delicious - with a lot of research on mix of flavours, which could be actually minimised to keep the genuine flavor. Suggestion : larger choice of pastas would be appreciated, as Italian restaurant but choice is large. Personnel is very motivated. Nice to see! 😉✨☀️

This restaurant is a growing chain with one in Soho as well, with both providing completely full Italian menus/styles. The staff were very friendly and catering. Service was quick, which was great to see, and the pizza I ordered was big enough for two! That's not a criticism, I love pizza. The wine complimented it perfectly.

A great restaurant next to Bond street shoping st, with genuine Italian food. It is run by Italians, so they really seem to know what they are doing around the Italian kitchen. Great selection of food, amazing fish dishes, good pasta, and everything else you'd expect from a an Italian place.

A hidden gem… I can honestly say I don’t think I have eaten food that good at such a reasonable price. Seafood pasta was so fresh and delicious. I wish we hadn’t found this on our day as we would have most definitely been back.

What a great gem! When you walk a little further up from the coas of Regent St, you come across this gorgeous place. The staff friendly and helpful, the food is really nice. We had calamari to start, even my picky partner loved it. If you have a chance, please do yourself a favour and get a meal here.

Loved returning here, the food and service are excellent. It’s a small menu but it’s authentic and executed really, really well. The service is excellent and the menu and specials seafood is explained and any questions answered. Our most recent visit was a group of four, and we all loved it, and all rated it as some of the best food we’ve had in the area. It’s really reasonably priced too. All in all, a great experience and we’ll be back again in our next visit. The lemon cake is excellent!!

Fantastic restaurant with an Italian twist that covers regional dished not easily found elsewhere. The carpaccio is to die for and the lobster pasta was something I had never previously tasted and was fantastic on so many levels. Please don’t get me started on the tiramisu, its fair to say its the best i have ever had anywhere. Gianni and Silvia front of house managers make perfect partnership. Do not fail to visit on your next trip! This is one of our go to restaurants now.

Excellent food. We visited once a year ago and as we approached the restaurant this year the owner recognised me and could remember what I had ordered a year ago!! The service is second to none. If you want a lovely evening out, my wife and I recommend you give the restaurant a visit. We will certainly be back

We were looking for a place to eat some fresh seafood and this place happened to be exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the pasta lobster and were immediately hooked by the thick and chewy texture of the pasta sauce and the freshness of the fish. Would definitely recommend!!

For one reason and another we only got to this restaurant late in the holiday, and we wish we'd found it earlier. A great menu but the gems are on the pasta section. The boar ragu I had was the best I've ever tasted, as was my husbund risotto.

Made reservation over 6 weeks ago for 7:45 pm , We arrived at 7:25 and seated in a dark noisy and overcrowded area next to the DJ. We requested to sit across the room. The hostess said ok but we would have to be gone by 8:30 pm. We felt we had no choice and moved. Once settled, Hostess came again and asked us to move to another table also till 8:30. It was now 7:45 and we were running out of time. We flet disrespected and having a bad experience, so didn’t want to stay. Restaurant had the nerve to charge a No-Show $127 fee to our credit card...

Our server was amazing, however we booked a table for 17:00 as had a train to catch we got taken downstairs to the lounge 20 minutes later no drinks no service. Got to the table at 17:30 in an empty area so not sure what the real delay was we had to be out the restaurant for 18:15 so whole thing was a little chaotic and rushed. Food was lovely drinks eventually were great but just not the relaxing experience we’d hoped for. Will try again but guys get your front of house sorted we weren’t the only table that were less than impressed 😩.

Another pleasant evening here with a dear friend over dinner. The food was nice, the ambience lively (music is always a bit loud though) and the wait service, excellent (the sommelier did an outstanding job). The one sore point was the lady at the reception desk. She was unpleasant, kept us waiting (there was another diner ahead of me) for over 5 minutes while attending to a phone call and never once looked up to speak to us till she finished her call. Her attitude was not at the level one would expect for such an establishment. We did not let this ruin our evening, and we went on to have a lovely time.

Brilliant restaurant with great atmosphere. Staff very attentive and food out of this world. This is the third time we have been there and have recommended it to family and friends who have had great experiences also. Going back to London in December and will book restaurant again.

Absolutely lovely food. For meat lovers a beef tomahawk with lots of flavor and tender meat, a fillet steak that melts in the mouth...and the sides are gorgeous. For fish lovers the shrimp and spaghetti with seafoodvis gorgeous. Best tiramisu ever and a light and beautiful lemon cake to finish of the night lovely. A night to enjoy with listening live music and pleasant staff. You pay that bit extea, but the food and ambiance is worth it. It made us come back for more!

Never fails. Always superb. Food, service, ambiance. Why this restaurant isn't bursting every evening with life and waiting customers I don't understand. We have been coming here almost every year for over a decade and never been disappointed. Perhaps a little nostalgic, a little noisy but superb food and service, life music and an opportunity to take a few dancesteps. Beef fillet medium rare to die for. Excellent place to celebrate and have a meal to remember.

Lovely restaurant. We came upon this restaurant based on reviews. So glad we did book a table. Had dinner there 2 nights of our London holiday. We had fried Calamari, carpaccio Fillet steak and salmon. Food was fab. Lovely staff and the DJ played such a wonderful pick of music. You felt it was a real treat.

I was there couple days ago with my husband and all people that are working there were very nice and respectful, especially the blonde girl who confirms the reservations. The food was great, I ordered a Pizza and my husband a steak, both were delicious and be sure you won’t leave the restaurant being hungry. The place was very comfortable and had classical music. I don’t know how much all that cost but the prices aren’t exorbitant. We loved it and I’m sure we will repeat that beautiful night.

The risotto was simply exquisite, cooked to perfection with a creamy texture and rich, well-balanced flavors. The highlight, however, was the lobster — prepared with such skill and attention to detail that every bite was a delight. Beautiful place with even more amazing food! We went for the last meal of our holiday and even thought it's higher priced than most places in London, it's well worth it. The Prawns were some of the best I have had and the rib eye was delicious. Topped off with a live singer and some piano. Beautiful

We booked for a dinner/drinks ( which were very good) and a surprise bruschetta appetizer. Our waiter Rafa was attentive and friendly. On our way out we smelled the pizza they had and ended order one to go. We are definitely coming back!

Bocconcino is one of the “must-do” spots for the dinner or brunch .. I highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone who is looking for a delicious and mouth watering dishes with a great detail in flavours .

We even mentioned that it’s a birthday and we wanted table downstairs’ they didn’t even brother to wish or do anything special . The service and wait staff here are absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere he is superb. all the waiters did a fantastic job. The food was spectacular. They even went out of their way to make a candle dessert for my girlfriend and I because of a Birthday. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I can’t wait to come back.

We come back to this property each year because of the low rate, amazing service, clean and spacious rooms and facility and the quality of food and drinks.
