Bob and Berts in Coleraine

Hadn't used one of these before as I thought it was a little too much california coffee shop but was very pleased to be able to get a good quality fry. It was the last item on the menu on the flashy screen on the wall and I felt a bit under pressure deciding what I would have in the queue at the till. Still It was very good, very well presented and I was able to swap the beans and black pudding for other items which is great. More room inside than I had thought and I would definitely be back.

We’re regular visitors to Coleraine and always found Bob & Berts to be a pleasant and reasonable spot for coffee and a light lunch but in recent times we’ve noticed a drop off in the quality of the food. We recently ordered sourdough toasted sandwich specials and were disappointed by how mean and cheap the fillings were. This would be fine if the toasties were cheap but each cost in excess of eight pounds. Too expensive

Called in today and staff were too busy talking to each other to even acknowledge we were there. Only 1 male member of staff actually working. Had to get attention of staff, said to them they looked at us twice but ignored us to which they replied they didn't see us they were talking. Very poor customer service, more concerned with chatting than serving the customers. Needless to say we will not be back

We've been in to Kendal Bob & Berts twice now The first time just after it opened and a few days ago The first time my son had burger and chips, we had tea and took a few chips from him Thst night both me and my eife had bad stomachs and blamed the burger and chips The second time we had only tea and eithin one hour we were both ill with gas and pains I'm still in pain today It must be the tea making process, either the water, mechine or the staff handling teabags after raw meat The tea was very claggy like it was made into bottled milk from powder then poured in to the tea

We called at Bob & Berts Coleraine on Tuesday at luchtime, hand sanitiser at the door and the staff were wearing face masks. Friendly young man took our order and our waitress brought club panini and fries, delicious and piping hot. In these strange times it's all to easy to criticise but we are less inclined to give praise when it's due, I have hardly ventured anywhere these past couple of years but I wouldn't hesitate to return here, well done!

Called in Friday afternoon for a quick bite. Staff at counter being the Manager Pauline was really rude couldn’t be bothered taking our order was more bothered with her phone. Neither asked please or thank you was heard from her. My order was wrong as I’d asked for an americano with extra shot and off course didn’t get it. Will definitely not be back again.

Basic scrambled eggs and bacon breakfast, big portion, but eggs were watery and a bit tasteless. For the price I think nicer bread choice would be good too. Coffee is fine but I wouldn't get food there again.

Went here on Saturday and was disgusted. While we queued for ages, we watched a server from the kitchen run their fingers through their hair then pick up plates and serve customers. Once they finished serving the food the same server cleared a table and walked through the kitchen, not once stopping to wash their hands, they then proceeded to pick up another plate if food and serve customers. Staff at the tills were nothing short of rude and rather than ask if they can take your order they just glare at you. Clearly the staff here do not care one bit. The server who came to our table literally muttered to us and threw down our ridiculously overpriced food and walked off.

We have loved Bob and Berts although sadly they aren't in Londonderry? Recently we visited Coleraine and Limavady and both disapointed. In Limavady a stale fruit scone and a cherry scone which tasted of baking powder was not acceptable so we didn't eat either. The latte´had no coffee taste. It was just like hot milk. I did not order hot milk so this was annoying. Staff are helpful and generaly we have been pleased with the food but not on these visits. We would be unlikely to chance another visit.

I met a friend for lunch here, appeared to be a good menu. I ordered chicken goujon wrap and asked for just the wrap without the fries but we were charged full price regardless. The table we eventually for hadn't been cleared, we started to clear it ourselves and then a girl came along and took the dirty dishes away but never returned to wipe the table down. My friend had a mini bottle of hand gel so we ended up using that and tissues to clean table. I appreciate it was lunch time and busy but maybe you need to have more staff in at this time of the day. Food was just ok, I thought my wrap tastes a bit stale and in closer inspection the lettuce leaves were bit brown and wilted. Overall really not good enough and I would have serious reservations about the hygiene. Would not go back and would not recommend.

The restaurant is bright and server was pleasant. Bobs fry and Bobs french toast went down well. Disappointed there was no option for mushrooms, but that’s just me.

Made use of their good selection of tray bakes and tea/coffee that was up to their standard. Premises clean and staff Covid aware.

We love a good old fry in a town or village cafe but I’ve never went into a Bob and Berts because I heard it was over priced compared to the other eating establishments on the street so when we left the car in to JKC for a wee service on the day the cafe’s opened for a week during the pandemic lockdowns, we walked the town in search of a typical cafe and ended up in Bob and Berts. We wore our masks while we ordered and paid and took our seats which were well enough spaced out. First issue, I had to use a tissue to clean the previous customers tea spillage off the table. Then we were kept cold by the draft streaming through the door which was blocked open the whole time while a number of stacked pallets were off loaded from a Lynas lorry and trailed through the shop with help from the sales staff (probably why they couldn’t clean tables). I note it’s probably the governments fault they couldn’t take delivery the previous day before opening leaving little time but not a great experience for us. The food itself was ok, nothing special, definitely not to justify the £7.50 price tag so it’s true, if you have a gut feeling about somewhere it’s probably right. Not for me I’m afraid.... sorry.

My partner and I entered the Bob and Berts cafe at the Diamond Coleraine this morning to get something to eat. We stood and waited at the till for about 5 minutes and nobody served us. There were 2 girls behind the till but they looked through us as if we were invisible and blatantly ignored us. Eventually we walked out and went to another cafe in the town centre.

Do not go here to eat it's a dirty hole with yesterday's salad and frozen prawns served up! Staff could not care less. How they get away with a hygiene rating at all beggars belief!

Called into Coleraine store and I can say I won't be back X staff not very nice and just shuffled about waiting for coffee which I might add is not hot or worth the money XX

No social distancing, different customers sharing tables, tables weren’t clean, food ok but had to repeatedly ask for our drinks and waitress was unhelpful. Inside very crowded and smelt of smoke.

Today we ordered a chicken wrap, berts American burger and a can of lemon Fanta. Both came with fries. When the food arrived we immediately noticed our can of lemon Fanta was nowhere to be seen with the bag the order came in. We decided to let this slide. We opened the boxes in which our food came in and the first thing we noticed was that the wrap wasn’t wrapped how strange considering we ordered a WRAP. The food fell out of it when we lifted it and was extremely messy and not well put together. The chips were very soggy, cold and extremely poor quality. It was clear that these weren’t fresh and had been sitting quite a while. The burger also very badly put together as it fell apart due to the bun being very soggy and not pleasant to eat. The drink showed up after we finished the food but it was warm and flat. This was definitely not worth the £20 we spent for this. We are regular customers with bob and berts but have had our problems before but it’s just not worth the money being wasted on poor quality food and services.

Went to Bob and Berts today (a Sunday) for lunch with my girlfriend. She ordered us paninis, loaded fries and tea and coffee. She specified that the food was to go and reiterated this at the end of the order. She was asked to wait for the drinks, and there was no clear system for how to socially distance while waiting. We were given take away cups and then waited outside for the rest of the food. Five minutes later our food came out on plates. We politely pointed out that we had wanted the food to go, only to be greeted by a sour face. A few minutes later we were given the now boxed food in a paper bag. We went to eat the food in the car (few mins walk away). Unfortunately when we opened the boxes we found no disposable cutlery or napkins, despite the fact that the paninis came with coleslaw and potato salad, and the loaded fries were covered in pulled pork, cheese and sauces. Also the paninis were cold. This lead to the sloppiest and most animalistic meal we have ever shared together (personal highlight was my girlfriend hand feeding me pulled pork because i wasnt keen on touching it with my bare hands). We are currently driving hone to Belfast (1 hour away) with sticky hands remediated only by a few half used napkins/tissues we scrounged from around her car.It should however be noted, that the loaded fries were delicious, and the drinks were pretty good. Ludicrous service though.

Myself and my hubby went into B&B in coleraine today about 4pm. Queue was quite long but we tried to keep our distance. When ordering which wasTwo coffees and tray bakes..the waitress putMy tray sitting with my tray bakes at the front of the counter while waiting on the coffee being made. Staff continued to take orders which resulted in a group of people standing waiting. No social distancing atAll. My food was sitting and people then collecting their order continually put their arms over the topOf my food. I was very close to leaving. Got my coffee and when we sat down we were able to see up the aisle where the staff serve the food. It was disgusting. Dropped food etc lined the floor. Put meRight off. I seen no wiping down of chairs etc after people left. We have been in two restaurants since last weekend and their cleanliness was impeccable. I would not be comfortable again in Bob and berts. Didn’t finish either of my peanut butter stack or coffee. More support needed obviouslyFor the staff to help keep this store clean but for a newish store it was really grubby. Left me nervous and anxious couldn’t wait to leave.

Had Bobs Fry, very poor quality of sausages and bacon, 3 types of fried bread all soggy. Wife had baked potato with Chicken and cheese, was all eaten but could have been so much better. Cannot recommend.

I was appalled today 2 June at the total disregard of social distancing in the coleraine shop itself outside was fine but inside people were packed in with no distancing between them all waiting in line next to each other in 25 degree heat. It just shows you while theres money to be made peoples safety doesnt matter,

We hadn't been in B&B's in Coleraine since our disappointing experience several years ago. The business in now in a different location, and other branches are good, so we thought we'd give it another try. The menu looked good, but we just wanted a snack and whilst the coffee and tea were fine, scones were dense and hard. There were food scraps on the floor just inside the door, and we could see that there was rubbish on the floor behind the serving counter. Staff looked generally untidy and we saw one scratching her neck with her gloved hand before using the same hand to put crisps and salad on some plates - made us glad we weren't in for a meal! Yuk. Portstewart and Ballymoney branches are much better.

My wife and I ate in here today. She had the mango smoothie and I had the banana and toffee thick shake. We also decided to share a slice of carrot cake. Smoothie was great, shake was great, carrot cake was great....until we got to the last bite of the carrot cake.....and under it was a finger from a blue plastic glove that one of the staff must have been wearing. We were running late for our bus so decided we didn’t have time to say anything in the shop. Spoilt our otherwise nice feed though. Surely someone would have noticed that the finger had come off one of their gloves.

Went here for breakfast with friends, staff were very friendly and service was quick. I had bacon sausage and tomato. Bacon was a little thin but all in all very tasty. Would definitely return and recommend

I visited here with my daughter , food and coffee where great, only problem was it was 1 hour before closing and they were covering up all the food , the girls were busy doing this and weren’t paying enough attention to customers, we went up for another coffee and a tray bake but they had them all covered over, if they are still open they need to serve customers available food, not expecting them to be cooking but something as simple as a filled roll or tray bake should still be available an hour before closing.

Two work colleagues visited on a Friday lunchtime. We both had the three tortilla wraps special and had a different meat filling in each one. I am glad that we did not have any side orders as we were both full. The bill with one drink was bit over £17. Service was good, but the place was so busy at 1345 that it was difficult to hold a conversation! A sign of a very popular eatery come coffee shop.

Visited coleraine today, after an exciting weekend within the causeway coast. Let's just say I walked out when I seen none of the buns, scones or anything sweet was uncovered for people to cough and splutter over. Lady infront of me was coughing over the top of them. Not for me

An amazing gluten free menu. Wish they had some fresh gluten free scones or brownies vs. packaged. But still a nice palce. Amazing coffee

Nice place but not one vegan option amongst the huge amount of cakes🤔 service was good. My slice of 🍰 was as dry as the Sahara.overall this chain could do better

Generally enjoy the treats and drinks selection at Bob and berts. However they are just so slow and staff seem lethargic. Never enough staff and therefore they just seem to give up as the line of customers in just never ending. Floors are always dirty, too hot and they always forget to put the flake in the thick shakes. Staff could also do with a crash course in customer service, a smile and a quick chat goes along way (ballymoney Bob and berts staff are sooooo lovely and therefore forgiven for long waits)

Have to say top class food only problem I would say is all the tables could be laid out better as they are close together and you can't eat food in peace

Stopped for a cooked breakfast,service was quick,eggs were good but everything tasted the same.Cook each breakfast item a little differently and you can improve a breakfast remarkably!

Early breakfast Speedy service had potato stack and pancakes Hot and tasty price reasonable agood range of options will go again.

Went for coffee and cake. Took forever to get served, traybakes and scones sitting out uncovered for everyone to cough , sneeze and breathe over. Red velvet cake and lemon muffin were stale , cutlery was filthy and tables dirty. Whole place is disgusting, obviously no idea of food hygiene standards. Anywhere would be better.

Had hot chocolate and it was delicious. The decor is modern and homely. The staff are pleasant. The place is clean. The only small criticism I would say is the seats can be uncomfortable but this should definitely not put you off.

Attended Coleraine store today firstly I had to repeat my order twice to the girl on the till fine I thought but the lady after me had to do hers about 4 times then I waited ages on two coffees being made the food was nearly as quick as the coffees . we ordered desserts these took ages then 1 came down I had to remind them about the other nearly 5 minuites after, both desserts wher cut with a knife which had been used to cut rainbow cake and not cleaned as both had bits of rainbow cake on them and the girl brought my dessert down to table while still wearing her blue glove the food was nice but the service was not up to standard disappointed

Visited bank holiday today great lunch good choices good prices staff friendly. Good gluten free options.

What appeared from the outside as a small cafe was actually quite cavernous inside. A wide choice of food and quite quick service. Maybe my sausage roll was the wrong choice but the rest of our meal was faultless.

Bob and Berts appears to have moved down to the Diamond from the previous listing on Church street. Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon and this was one of the busiest locations in coleraine. Initial first impressions seem good, however peel away the facade and it unravels quickly. The food was very stodgy, having a slice of cake, was mostly sugar and too rich to enjoy. The floor and tables whilst having been cleaned were not to a high standard, could see crumbs on table and receipts left on the floor. The new cafe has visible marks from its previous life as a clothes shop, with the front third of the shop still having the original panelling and the floor being warn away from previous shoppers. Better local cafes are available but it’s tolerable.

The food was delicious. It does cost a wee bit more but you get what you pay for . Very friendly staff

Lots of menu options, including gluten free, plenty of seating, and reasonably priced. The strawberry muffin was flavorful and the waffle sandwiches were tasty with thick maple syrup. The poached eggs on the Benedict were perfectly cooked. I had the Bobs Filled Soda with egg/ham/sausage links/cheese and tomato chutney. It was too much for me to finish so my son did the honors. We will be taking a piece of the carrot cake to go . We would all eat here again.

A lovely place to stop for a coffee and cake overlooking the sea. They have a fantastic range of cakes and muffins - so hard to choose!!

Regularly visit here, staff always helpful and friendly. Service is fast. Cake is great as is the wide range of coffees on order. Kids love the smoothies and milkshakes even at this bleak time of year!

A warm welcome from the happy smiling staff, a great way to start your day....well that and a Spud Stack! Great first experience.

The staff are poorly trained which is obviously not their fault but their attitude is. Everything I go whether I'm ordering a cup of tea or food they act like I'm a complete inconvenience to them. The cafe cant cater to vegetarians never mind vegans, they staff get so confused whenever you ask them simple questions. Twice I have went to Bob and Berts and they served my meal with chicken on the plate, I explained that I was a vegetarian and one time the server said "Do you want me to pick it off?". I understand cross contamination but just never even checking the dishes before you send them out? I have emailed the company about this and wasn't impressed with their response which was a generic email about the up-and-coming veggie options.

Tables were not cleaned nor cleared when we sat down. Hamburger was not nice at all, took one bite and couldn't touch it again. The sandwich, bread was a bit stale.

Sub standard food , I've been in this place loads of time and it never get any better. But I give places chances to see if they can pick up .

Expensive for what it is. Sorry to say 'The Emperor's New Clothes' springs to mind, as I can't honestly see what all the fuss is about. We had a dried out reheated bagel, a huge vulgar sausage roll that would have fed family of 4 but for one person it was way too much and too greasy, and a mediocre chicken goujon salad. The flavours weren't bad but it was a pricey lunch (£18 for 3 plates, no drinks or extras). The place had a nice atmosphere, packed out but we still got a good table, but I am fed up with places that charge big & serve big, knowing that people will pay for the food and then walk away from half of it, leaving a nice big profit for the corporates. The food waste is sickening and unforgivable in this day & age.

We had good Coffee here, and nice cake. Service was a bit slow and I got a medium size cup when I asked for a regular. Never the less the coffee was good.

Came in optimistic but my hopes were soon to be shot down. I ordered food and the waitress looked at her watch like I was an inconvenience, I asked her was there a deadline to ordering food and she said no.paid for food, my two family members got theirs, mine arrived 20 mins later! Asked for the special. It was missing the cheese it was supposed to come with and chips we inedible with the grease. We gave it a second go by ordering cakes and we needn't of bothered. Shop bought cakes and cream out of a can. Not good.

Called in for a coffee with parents and 2 kids, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. Staff were friendly, very well organised and prompt with their service.

Probado este lugar a mediados de junio en 1345 para comer como he oído buenas críticas. Yo tenía un bagel, cheesecake y un americano. Llegó a £11. El bagel entró en una mermelada bañado de cebolla (viene con cebolla) y era caramelised demasiado dulce, aunque me las arreglé para comer más. El servicio era malo y cubiertos estaban sucios. El café estaba bien. La tarta de mantequilla penut estaba asqueroso. Fue la crema agria y servida con fue sólida. Estaba apagado y no podía comer, y ahora me hubiera gustado ya que casi se quejó de era de £4. Voy a tiendas de café a diario, pero este era el peor de la historia y no era barato. Me sorprende un poco debido a otros diciendo que era buena y estaba ocupado cuando me fui. Mi amigo tenía la misma tarta que, aunque no es tan fatal como la mía, fue sin duda no es fresco. Un almuerzo muy mal hecho y dudo que volveré en la tienda de nuevo cuando estoy hasta coleraine de esa manera. Pero este odio quejándose estaba mal.

Aspecto el aspecto del lugar con sillas, paredes de missmatching sin pintar y tubos al descubierto. Poco como para comer en su garaje, pero mucho mejor. Café y lugar de comida.

Call in for the first time on Thursday, had a sandwich which was recommended by one of the staff, really good.

I had a pleasure to be able to be there for a few visits, as i was staying in Coleraine last week. First and foremost this place offers you great selection of food and drinks, which were top quality. I found waiting staff very friendly. Not to mention a Barista named Keira, who was absolutely phenomenal in each and every aspect!Michael

We stopped here twice today, the first time we just had coffee but on our return visit a few hours later we had to have cake, we really did have to. All the cakes on offer looked good and after much deliberation we chose a Chocolate and Mint Gateau and a Peanut butter Stack.Yum yum

Great food and fast service from Bob and Berts. I would highly recommend anything from the breakfast menu. Relaxed atmosphere ideal for the family taking a coffee or bite to eat.

Regularly go to Bob and Berts for breakfast but last 2 have been poor. Today floppy waffles and no, as advertised, grated cheese. Don't know whether they have changed the type of oil they use but not good. The egg in the spud stack was dirty. Potato bread was greasy. Staff are still lovely but unfortunately won't be back to the Diamond.

Lovely spring day and after train journey feeling peckish,entered bob and berts.Inviting interior with inviting food all on view.we chose a panini,chicken,cheese,chilli jam,sausage roll with coleslaw and chips.pleasant friendly and helpful staff.asked for water nd came right away with ice followed by our chosen snacks.all well served and presented,the panini required more chilli jam which also came quickly.too full for any desserts!!!definitely return.

After being disappointed in Bob and Berts on every occasion I was there, we decided to give it one last shot! Needless to say we will not be back. The place was empty bar two tables yet we struggled to find a seat as none of the tables were cleared. There were no knives and when I asked for one I was produced with a dirty one. When I asked the staff member if I could have another one I was met with a sigh. I finally got a baby wipe out and wiped down our table as I appeared to be an inconvenience to the staff by interrupting their conversation. I emailed after my visit to raise these issues as I always believe you can't fix things unless you know the problems but I am yet to receive a reply.

New location in the diamond Coleraine, ambience great, staff friendly as ever, food as good as ever, menu great for all day.definitely on my list to drop in next time I visit Coleraine.

Love the new Coleraine store and great to have somewhere to sit in the evening whilst finishing the last minute shopping. Fantastic tray bakes and coffer. ..will be back

We popped in for a quick cup of coffee. There wasn't a crowd of people but the service was sooooooh slow. Some of the staff were more interested in their appearance than doing what they were paid to do - serve customers. Having waited an eternity, the coffee was watery and we received the wrong cakes!

This is a great place to sit and relax for a break from the shopping. Better yet arrange to meet after the shopping is done and go there and read a paper or surf the net while others are shopping. Good coffee and sticky buns, and they won't stick the arm in when it comes to the bill.

Coleraine has quite a number of coffee shops, but this one has to be my favourite. Coffee is excellent, staff are warm and friendly, and love the armchair seating.. lovely place to unwind with a coffee.

Food was fine on our visit, however there were a few missing ingredients from the fillings in the sandwich orders. Its pretty expensive for what it is. Definately so compared with the competition, and in my eyes absolutely doesnt warrant it. Staff personality is pretty awful. All young girls who dont speak and dont look like they want to be there (maybe they dont, but you cant make it look like that to customers)

Always went to the old bob and berts before the new one opened, tried the new one a couple of weeks ago and the whole experience was awful! Full of young girls who have the personality of a twig! It takes nothing for a smile or a simple hello. While I was being served there was one girl standing beside the coffee machine picking at her nails over the counter so unhygienic and just looked like she didn't want to be there at all! Anyways took our seat and realised that I shouldn't of sat there, there is no door so it was absolutely freezing I didn't take my coat off at all. With this being the case my food was freezing within 5 mins burger looked nice but very bland frozen burger with frozen onion rings, wish I went somewhere else. Today my sister wanted to go and said I wouldn't step back into the new one so went to the old one and what a difference food was tasty was nice and cosy in the comfortable chairs and not feel the cold and the staff... One woman was amazing! Made the time to come over and see my sisters baby and engage with both of us, offered straight away if we needed any hot water for the bottle without us asking. The baby was playing up a little at this time our food came out and she hadn't had any time to start eating it yet, there was only one other table in and she offered to take him for a few minutes so her food wouldn't get cold. My sister appreciated it so much. A++ for costumer service. Only reason i gave 5 stars was for the old B and B but for the new one I would give it zero. Didn't feel comfortable in it what so ever and actually went somewhere else for a coffee after our food! Stick to the old one beside DV8!

We went for breakfast and it took 20 minutes + to get your food. Also other people jumped the que. Staff doesn't know please, thank you or sorry. Hope next time better standard

Was out shopping in town and popped in for a quick coffee with a couple of friends. Couldn't resist adding a few tray bakes to our order. Each mouthful of all 3 items were heavenly.

Highly recommended. Has a wide range of interesting sandwiches, hot meals, breakfast menu and traybakes. Nice choice of seating. Tables cleared promptly. Good toilet facilities.

every town has one or even two no difference in any of them they are all the same , same menu ,same decor , etc

My wife and I decided to go here for our 2nd wedding anniversary brunch...it was supposed to be for breakfast,but she took that long to get into her heels that it grew into brunch. I ordered the breakfast stack and my wife ordered bagel with scrambled eggs. The service was fast and the food was great,we were well pleased with what we had...waitress says the chef is called Raymond.....so, well done Raymond. Keep up the good work. This was the Bob and berths at the top of the town and not the new they opened at the diamond.

My son and I visited the new store in Coleraine and I can say I will never be back. This guy is opening up stores all over the province but he really needs to concentrate on staff training. The 4 young girls behind the counter stood looking around them with real attitude on their faces. I ordered a large portion of chips and two sausages I also ordered a bagel with chicken chorizo rocket and caramelised onion, well the sausage and chip came out on a small oval plate and the chips in a small container sitting on the plate if that was an adult portion I would have hated to see the child's the chips were horrible and just tasted like they had been fried in dirty oil. As my son ate his mine hadn't arrived, it still hadn't arrived when my son was finished I had to go ask and eventually they arrived with it offering no apologie. It was horrible the bagel wasn't fresh and it was really dry. My son then went up to get a bun and when he bit into he got a bit of plastic in his 1st bite. The whole experience was a disaster and the guys hands that brought my sons meal were black! Such nice premises but that's about all. Yuk yuk yuk!!!

The food was fast and very tasty. The shop was supposed to open at 10 and we had been waiting until 10:15 until someone came to the counter to serve us. Apparently from that solid performance.

Went here in June with son he had the pancakes they were scrummy, I had the chicken bacon red onion Panini was so tasty only thing was it was over done hard to bite into toasted to much.

Lovely selection of pre-prepared panini's and wraps at a reasonable price. However half of our order was forgotten about and therefore was brought out 10 minutes after the rest of our food. Unacceptable when the food is already made and only needs toasted.

They do a great bagel cream cheese and bacon. I get coffee my partner gets a milkshake but has recently stopped getting that due to the cream used from the can doesn't taste to nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is always a lot of messy tables which should not be the case because there is always enough members of staff. It's a nice place to get a lunch or a snack and coffee.

I had been to Northern Ireland twice without visiting Bob and Bert's. Seeing the cute exterior everywhere built my expectations. I was very disappointed by the food. I ordered a piri piri chicken salad. It arrived and was nothing more than a few dry pieces of chicken on a bed of mixed leaves with a few chickpeas underneath with no dressing. The prices were very expensive for the quality of food and lack of atmosphere.

Visited Bob and Berts with my mum for lunch. She had a baked potato and tea- both of which were only luke warm. I had a panini and tea. The panini cost £5.95 so you would expect a decent amount of filling- this was not the case! Chicken, cheese and chilli jam- lots of cheese and jam but very little chicken. The place was busy with lots of customers so you would wish a quick turn around in tables, the tables were not cleaned quickly and the dirt and left over food was just pushed on to the floor which in turn was not swept. I had read many good reviews about this place but was very disappointed with my visit- don't think I will be in a hurry back!

Very disappointing lunch today at Bob and Berts. Dirty floor, dirty tables, stained cups, slow, very slow service. Simple order, panini and baked potato, how can you get that wrong? By taking 15 minutes for it to arrive - COLD. Our tea was watery and tasteless. You couldn't do worse if you tried. Yet this establishment was busy, living on its reputation! There are much better places to eat in Colerainr. Don't follow the hype .....

My sister and I shared 3 chicken goujons and a portion of sweet chilli fries - we weren't able to finish it between us! The chicken goujons were so tasty in a lovely batter and the sweet chilli fries were scrumptious too! My other sister had chicken goujons with tomato and chilli jam - she was very full after her meal! She really enjoyed t however she said the wheaten bread did nothing for the meal.. I have never eat chicken with wheaten bread myself! Overall a lovely lunch and I would definitely go back again.

Visited Bob and Berts in Coleraine yesterday with 2 friends for lunch. One of us ordered a pancake with a coffee, simple you might think but the pancake was so stale it had the texture of rubber. I volunteered to return it on my friend's behalf. I just said "this is so stale it's like rubber. Do you have a fresh one?" the girl behind the counter had to go and get someone to hunt for a fresh pancake. After a short search she handed it over but didn't seem to think it was an incident that warranted any explanation or apology.This on it's own is perhaps not a big deal but I also had the misfortune the day before to eat in the Ballycastle branch of the same chain with a different friend. He also suffered through a stale Panini and a couple of sad looking salads that my friend said didn't seem very fresh for a Monday. He was too polite to complain. All served up by surly staff. May be a good idea to improve the standards before continuing to open even more branches!

After a rainy cycle ride we were in need of shelter and sustenance. The modern looking exterior of the shop caught our eye. Tea and cakes ordered we got a proper chance to review the full menu. There is a large range of meal options available as well as a large cake and coffee selection. Seemed good value and the burgers we saw looked great. Would happily choose again.

Nice tea and coffee and good food got a burger last time I was in and it was lovely and they do pastry/buns as well so it's good if you just want a cup of tea or coffee

I have been to this place on a few occasions and it is always really noisy and busy. The food is generally good but sometimes later in the day, the salads are a bit wilted. Overall good food, fast and tasty!

Great coffee, great atmosphere, great staff and a great location! Coleraine store always has a good range of scones, cakes and buns. Worth a visit!

Food and coffee is lovely staff friendly however food and drink prices are expensive and theres no high chairs

Wow , what can I say. This was a lunch time special. Great value at £6.95. My wife and I enjoyed it so much. Great staff, nothing is a problem. Great central atmosphere. Well done guys you got this so right. Can't wait to try the portrush branch for coffee and make it our local.

This has become the new choice for breakfast in Coleraine. Love the spud stack and the staff are lovely and welcoming. I get my egg cooked to order. The 'fadge' of potato bread is great. I really enjoy an early breakfast and as it opens at 8 in the morning it is perfect before the day starts.

We called for coffee one afternoon. The shop was busy but seating still available. Plenty of choice and we all enjoyed our drinks. We didn't eat but the menu looked good and the food served to those around us looked nice with generous amounts.

I visited the Ballymoney branch with my mother for lunch, she ordered soup while I ordered a steak wrap.When the food arrived there was hardly any meat in the wrap at all, instead it had been filled with vegetables which weren't listed as ingredients on the menu. It made me wonder why I'd bothered having a steak wrap when it might as well have been vegetarianThe bread that accompanied my mothers soup was stale, when she made the waitress aware of it she said the bread was meant to be like that (which I sincerely doubt), when the manager came over and quite heatedly told my mother she was wrong and that the bread was meant to be like that. We had to petition to her in order for her to change the bread and she was given a fresh slice.A poor example of customer service with what was an incredibly disappointing lunch. Would not recommend the chain to anyone.

Have been a couple of times with friends just for a quick bite to eat and some coffee! Menu is good and good is really tasty and well priced!

This was my second trip in to Bob & Bert's in Coleraine. I have visited some of their other locations and on all occasions been a happy customer.This time I was there for breakfast (something I don't do very often). The staff were very warm and welcoming, the cafe was clean and well presented.I ordered the soda stack which I can highly recommend (though it is a challenge!). The food was hot, presented well and tasted delicious.I can highly recommend Bob & Bert's in Coleraine.

Good choice of Menu. Quality coffee and scone. Pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable seating. Tables cleared and cleaned efficiently.

Me and the other half popped into Bob and Berts to escape the wind and rain but were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere inside. Staff were extremely friendly while the menu was filled with delights; on this occassion I simply went for a hot chocolate and mint aero cheesecake which was super tasty. Despite only ordering a cake, the staff presented te homely food equally to that of a top-notch restaurant which I loved. I definately can't wait to return as that hot chocolate was superb while that cake was scrumptious!

Came here for lunch with my mother it was my first time in Bob and Berts Coleraine. Several of the menu items tempted me, but I saw the lunch special and decided to go for it. It was a fried tortilla basket filled with piri piri chicken, peppers, lettuce and rocket it also comes with cheese but i requested no cheese. It came nicely presented and was very tasty.My mother got the pumpkin soup which she enjoyed. I also ordered an orange hot chocolate but tasted no orange in it which was disappointing.I would come back again.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Place was busy but not packed. Ordered the bagels with crunchy peanut butter and jam and a large coffee and large steamer.The bagels were lovely although the peanut butter wasn't crunchy as advertised, bagels arrived before the hot drinks, they guy making them was very slow but they arrived hot and were enjoyable.Overall we really enjoyed our snacks and drinks and would return.
