Went in yesterday (Saturday afternoon) Great choice of beers, great staff (shoutout to the short Nepalese lady with glasses, extremely polite and helpful, sorry I didn’t get your name) Paneer chilli was bostin, chilli wings, delicious. The grill was great, but the Himalayan masu curry was outstanding, unreal flavours, The naan and rotis were also cooked to perfection, going to be a weekly visit for us now living so close.

Delicious food from Ram and the team. Always a good meal, highly recommend.

The Boatman’s Bar & Grill offers a dining experience typical of an Indian bar and grill, but it's the food that truly sets it apart. This restaurant/pub might have familiar decor, but don't let that fool you. What they serve is anything but ordinary. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the curries. Often, grill places can fall short in this area, focusing too much on the grilled items at the expense of other dishes. Not here. The curries at The Boatman’s are exceptional bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced with spice, salt, and utterly delicious. Each dish showcases the chef's skill and dedication to authenticity. The service matched the quality of the food. Our server, a young girl, was incredibly polite and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Her friendliness added to the overall positive experience The decor is what you might expect from an Indian bar and grill, it’s comfortable and welcoming. The parking facilities are also quite good, making it convenient for guests. In conclusion, The Boatman’s Bar & Grill is a place I’ll definitely be returning to. The outstanding curries and service make it a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, authentic Indian cuisine in a relaxed setting.

Really tasty food and the staff were lovely. More of a sports pub atmosphere rather than an Indian restaurant.

Me and my husband just popped in here whilst in a nearby hotel for 2 days. The food was outstanding, you could taste the poppadoms were cooked in clean oil, and nan bread was fresh the dough was delicious. Portions really good. Don't be put off by the interior (it needs a little updating) this is a little gem! The staff are friendly and kind. Will recommend. Thank you we have left happy and full. All the best.

Had chicken tikka starter and a chicken tikka masala chips rice and naan bread, plus a few pints of coors , bang on .

I’ve had a delivery from this place for the first time and it’s absolutely blew me away. The food is top tier, everything was perfect. Just the right amount of spice and the meat was cooked to perfection. I had lamb balti and chicken tikka masala with egg fried rice and keema naan. I honestly cannot give this restaurant enough praise. It’s now my new favorite place. The delivery was on time too.

The staff were excellent and the food was fantastic the best Indian we have had and would recommend everyone to give it a go.

We were a group of 7 and we all had different meals and all of us were more than happy with our meals. Came out freshly cooked and piping hot and this place is now my favourite restaurant many thanks for making us so welcome. A must visit

What a relief. Finally an Indian restaurant delivering what they say. Authentic Indian food. I'm tired of being served the usual slop that Indians think we English like instead of food that they would eat. The phrase would you serve this to your mom comes to mind. There are a number of places like this popping up around the Midlands, here's hoping they become the norm. Thank you Boatman bar and grill. Your chicken saag was just as it should be and the rotis probably the best I've had in a restaurant.

Delivery and it was awful . Big mix grill . Chicken very dry I could hardly swallow it . Fish pakora was like a dry chicken nugget instead of being light and battery . Chips smelt like old chip fat as I know as I own a cafe . Keama nann so where was the keama . Very very poor for a small buisness. but on a good side the lettuce was nice. Please take note of these comments and learn from them as i dont want you to go under On a whole we will never be ordering from here again

Went this evening as recommend by a friend, was not disappointed food and service was brilliant, We had the curry side of the menu one of the best chicken and spinach bati i have had in a long time. Going back to try the mix grill as it looks delicious. Was clean, warm and staff really could not of been more helpful and friendly.

If I am honest I didn't have the highest expectations for this place and its obviously not Michelin star but to be fair the food was better than expected and the service was spot on. Recommended

Wife and I were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to look for a local pub for food. The Boatman was the first we found and so glad we did. The food was amazing and the staff were possibly the friendliest we've experienced.

Place was honestly amazing. Service was fantastic from the moment we sat down. Our orders arrived very quickly and the food was delicious. The staff came over a couple times during our hour visit to make sure everything was OK, and to clear up table space (we were 2 to a table of 4, so they didn't need to go that far). Staff made great recommendations for choices of rice and Naans to go with our curries. My first visit to the area, and if I come back I will 100% stop back here for food.

Excellent quality food, fantastic service, good value for money, good portion sizes. What else is there to want? The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and it was a decent portion. The naans were excellent - I recommend the keema naan, in particular. The chicken in my butter chicken was so tender. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and I wouldn't hesitate to return if I was ever in the area.

Food last week was horrible, chicken tikka masala didnt taste sweet at all. Bland like a microwave meal.

Place was full with England football supporters,two bars,one barmaid on each bar,took 20 minutes to get a drink,didn't wait to eat as you had to order at the bar,may go back when quieter as the food has been recommended by friends

I must have come on the wrong night when there was football playing way too busy to be served, 1st time visitor to the place after a long drive to meet a party of friends didn't even bother staying for the food as couldn't get Served After being Stuart the bar for 10 minutes. From what I'm told the food is great there smelt lovely just wish I could have tasted it.

A proper Indian restaurant and takeaway. I really love the garlic naan and chicken tikka masala along with some chicken tikka rice. If you want to have a taste of the different flavours of India, you must visit the place. The staff are friendly and the owner is nice and polite. You can even get your dishes customised to your taste just by asking the staff. A must go to place.

We get food delivered from here all the time and also eat in. Kumar is a brilliant host. The chefs are really good. This is a desi pub which means you get the authentic Nepali and Punjabi dishes as well as a nice ice cold pint. The madri is great. Highly recommend the mixed grill, chilli mushrooms and veg manchurian.

I visited this establishment as I saw it may offer a new taste it was amazing the Rangoon mutton Curry was out of this world and fab fluffy lemon rice the naans not all thick n stodgy but nice n thin and just right washed down with a lovely cobra what more could u want maybe an Indian kulfi ace well done to all of the staff n chefs thankyou.

I have visited here twice for food. Each time there have been hardly any other customers, which is a shame as the food is very nice and reasonable priced. My only criticism is that the pub is very cold. Maybe a heating issue I don't know.

Food is flavourless. No seasoning or spice. Ordered a delivery and asked for the usual salad and sauces they do not provide this. Every grill place provide this with every meal. Also naans were hard and noodles were greasy and had a weird MSG flavour.

We went on Thursday evening, booked online but didn't get a confirmation from the venue. Turned up anyway and there were free tables available. Staff were friendly enough, but didn't rush to take our orders despite the place being quiet. The family had their usual curries which they said we're very good. I had the medium mixed grill but didn't enjoy it. Relatively small for the price, chicken was burnt and lamb chops dry and flavourless. The masala chips were extremely salty. I was expecting a bit better considering the other good reviews. Would I go there again.....no not really, better venues nearby.

Service very slow when eating in. Probably due to having excessive take aways to do. Could also do with a refurb as very dated. But looking past all that, the food was nice.

Really impressed with this place. Passed by a few times and looks good so tried delivery. Had quite a large order of different things....Came fast and was hot. I recommend the chicken tikka wrap. It was massive and rammed with chicken. Tasted really good. Will be using again.
