BMC Cakery in Ipswich

Where do I even start? Rachel made our wedding cake and it was beyond incredible. Thankfully, our guests didn't finish all of it at the wedding which meant that we got to take the rest home and devour it from the comfort of our sofa - an experience that I would recommend to everyone! Rachel is great to work with, so lovely, so easy going and a master at baking! No request was too much, she just took on what we wanted and delivered it to the highest standard. Not only did it taste amazing, it was also beautiful. After months of watching the calories to make sure I fit into the dress, Rachel's cake was the best reward / end goal I could ever wish for! Just to top it off, her prices are great and so affordable especially considering the level of talent you get when booking with her. Cannot recommend Rachel enough.

Used to really love the bakes from here back when they were in the shops, but having bought today at Kesgrave Fun Day, I was disappointed! The cookie pie just tasted very sickly of sugar and the Mini Egg blondie lacked any real flavour (plus was half the size of the cookie pie but only 50p cheaper which seemed odd). Such a shame as they aren’t cheap either!

Absolutely amazing cake & service! Rachel was super helpful & prompt with communication. The gluten free birthday cake she created for my Mum’s 70th birthday was stunning & delicious - thank you!

Recently had a few deliveries of tasty treats from BMC. Ordering is super easy via the website, delivery seamless and the cakes just delicious....biscoff cream horns a particular favourite of mine. 100% recommend!

The ladies are always so nice, the selection is plenty to satisfy. The cakes and baked goods are delicious 😋 and of course my daughter loves it too. Perfect occasional treat for us but I do forget it exists sometimes but that's probably a good thing haha.

Incredible range of gluten-free goodies (also do vegan, dairy-free, Muggle and American goodies!) We love it here and always stock up when we can.

Amazing tasting cookies and cakes - Very good customer service, they walked me through which items were vegan, gluten free or contained nuts which is very refreshing. Would highly recommend

It well set out ,lots of cakes, buns and biscuits on show look delicious. Also foreign crisps drinks, cookie, mixers and lots of other things inside the shop. It's a little expensive but it's worth that little bit more for quality, star for lovely lovely atmosphere ,

Usually i love this place but on the last 2 occasions I've visited the cakes I've brought home have been really stale

Tried this cakery for the first time and definitely going back again for more!!! We chose the 4 for £10 selection ( biscoff flapjack/kinder bueno slice/oreo blondie/biscoff blondie) and they are all very yummy 👌🏼👍🏼

Ordered a cake over the phone. Whent in to pay for it 2 weeks in advanced may I add and only had a £50 note which is how much the cake was and they refused to take payment. Now I don't know what the cakes are like but the customer care is totally shocking. The man who I spoke to had the attude I can take what ever payment I like!!!! Let's just say I didn't place the order

Very disappointed with my afternoon tea. I had difficulty ordering as the lady who answered the phone didn't know how to order it. When it was collected they had provided the wrong sandwiches and therefore I had to go back to the shop and wait for the correct sandwiches to be made. Then when I got home all the brownies and blondies from the 5 teas I ordered were missing. I could not drive another 1 hour round trip to get them as had guests arriving. All I was offered was a £15 refund not even nearly enough to cover the cost of replacing the brownies and blondies which I had to do locally. They said it is because they have taken on new staff - this has massively effected their quality and customer service. Will not be going back.

Amazing cakes and savouries. My favourites include chocolate orange Rocky road, caramelised onion sausage rolls and cheese scones.

Went for the first time today and oh dear god the baked goods! Picked up a cookie sandwich and the bake was sublime. Not good if your on a diet... Which we are... But totally worth the cheat day! Qué out the door so arrive early for best grabs. Good selection of sweets too and fairly priced I think. Happy caking!

New shop opened earlier this week. It is amazing very friendly staff and I was pleased with the prices as they were lower than Other American sweet shops and saves us from having to order online and pay an overwhelming price for shipping I Look forward to returning soon! Also had a brownie which was divine!

There is something for everybody, gluten free and vegan options, lots of varieties of different cakes, brownies, cookies etc available fresh, a wide range of American goodies both food and drinks, and also the facility to book an occasion cake too. Besides the delicious food items the store itself is beautifully decorated and the customer service is second to none. Will definitely be regular visits and everything we have tried so far - which is lots - tastes incredible! Very good value for money too. Definitely 5 stars!
