Good hot food, well presented, happy helpful staff

Food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to my next visit.

Just got home from eating here, staff were welcoming and very lovely, service was very nice, the food was absolutely amazing, we had no room for dessert but we will definitely be going back.

Excellent steakhouse with really good food. I really enjoyed all the choices you get with your steak: what rub, sauce and potato. The salad card where you can choose what you'd like is a genius idea. Service was excellent and the server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food. It's not a cheap night out but definitely worth it.

Great place to.hold a work fun day

This is the first time, i have been to Venue 16.We had a lovely evening . We had a meal and saw the Jersey boys.The food was delicious. The group were very good. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere, but it does feel a bit like a restaurant inside an office. However, food and service was good enough to want a return trip ☺️

Didn't come for the restaurant we came for a wedding. Venue was perfect. Staff very friendly, helpful and approachable. Food was really good. Couldn't fault.

Worst ever experience , went for anniversary wanted to order sharing steaks platter at £89 for 2 and 2 extra plates for our twin boys 9 yrs old, but refused to let us order as it’s only for 2 people!! There’s no steak option on the kids menu. I think how much food is wasted as it is a large 3 steak meal , this would be binned if not eaten by 2 of us, which it wouldn’t, my wife doesn’t eat huge portions. Not Evan just give us 2 spare plates and the kids can have what they wanted. Disgraceful, they need to rethink wastage, inclusivity for kids and flexible customer service.

5* and beyond, from atmosphere, to service to food. It is a wonder to find somewhere now that satisfies on all counts, from initial welcome to leaving. It was a special occasion so we went all out on the steak sharing platter and we were blown away by the quality and quantity. Steak cooked perfectly, no gristle or chewy bits. The sides were perfectly cooked and the salad card is a genius idea. The servers here go above and beyond and honestly look to enjoy their jobs. The burgers also looked amazing. Great location, easy parking.

Went here for dinner with my partner, we shared the platter for 2, everything on the plate was delicious and cooked to perfection. We sat in the outdoor seating area which is covered, great service, will definitely return.

Incredible place! Service was faultless, food was out of this world - best steak we've ever had (and we've had a lot!) So good, we've booked to come back in 2 weeks. Catered for gluten-free and dairy-free without hesitation, including starters, mains, desserts and drinks. Highly recommend.

Sunday roast beef dinner was delicious. A cut above many places. Good service too in a nice setting. None of that annoying echoing nouse that so many places suffer from these days. Very pleasant outside as well. Not the cheapest but the food etc is better for it...much better.

Good food, company, booked last minute for my husband's birthday and they put a sign out for Happy Birthday. Come back again for occasions bit expendsive to come here too often!

Wonderful food with perfectly cooked steak (blue/rare... to perfection. Lighting perhaps a little too bright and some background music to reach all corners of the venue would make it a touch better. All-round, a wonderful night to be had.

A very good evening event. Bar prices are a bit steep but it keeps you sober.

This was my first visit and I was not disappointed, the menu was pleasantly varied but when you go to a steak restaurant you go for a steak. It was super cooked just right, thanks to the chef,the way team looked after us was special and we had a great evening once again thank you

Had a lovely 50th birthday meal last week

Visited with my 2 children (8 & 9) both really enjoy steak so thought I'd treat them for half term. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have a steak option on the children’s menu. When I asked, they said it was because the steak is cut and weighed (10oz), so couldn't offer that option. Because if this they both had an adult meal (3x the price of a children's meal) only for them both to order a mixed grill where they had a smaller a 5oz steak?! Despite this, the children loved ordering their salad and dressing from the salad card, and ordering their food and being able to have the steak cooked how they wanted (both had it medium rare) with their choice of rub, side and butters or sauces. They loved the axe type knives for the steak, I really enjoyed the choice of knife as well. it seemed to cut the steak better than the serrated knife that you usually get. There was a really good selection of drinks to choose from. The only other thing that let it down slightly is there is no children's dessert menu. They both would have liked a dessert, but there wasn't really anything they would eat from the adult one. Even if just an ice cream was available or the mini brownie without the hot drink. All in all the children and I really enjoyed our meals, the staff were friendly polite and helpful. I wasnt to sure with the look of the outside of the building what it was going to be like inside, but i was pleasantly surprised. Decor was lovely and all decorated for Halloween. We will be returning at some point.

Not the cheapest place but the meals are worth it. Lovely place and they cater for any odd requests where they can without any questions. We'll worth it.

First time here. Friendly staff and spacious dining room. Went for the steakhouse platter for 2. Fillet, ribeye and sirloin with sides and sauces. Absolutely wonderfully cooked steaks and great wine also. Will definitely be coming back again.

Great place, great food, an absolute hidden gem.

Delicious cocktails and good size portions. We got shared starter and we have been pretty full. Couldn’t finish main, no chance. It was quiet so service have been good and no waiting.

Lovely place to eat, honestly not comparable to Miller & Carter. So much better in every way, steak and burger stack were both delicious and the salad card is a great option to have also. All came very nicely presented and within 20 minutes.

Great Sunday dinner, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great steakhouse, not so good for the roast dinners. The roast looks amazing and should taste so much better than it does. 2 stars for the look. 0 stars for taste. The sauce/gravy is so overpowering that's all you can taste. The effort that goes in to cooking everything else for it to be lost to the sauce. It's a shame. But we will back.for the steaks as know they good from previous. Let's stick to a traditional pub for a roast or our friend Toby.

We went in the function hall, well set out great lights and atmosphere. Only disappointment was bar not open had to go to the restaurant bar where long queues

We went here for a birthday meal. It was the first time I'd been. There ìs ample parking directly outside. The staff were welcoming. The food was well presented, delicious but salty. There were a few non alcoholic drink options and a couple of non meat food options. We had a good time and recommended it to others.

Amazing family meal today. The steak was beautiful and the service was fantastic. I will be returning.

Came here for a last minute meal and I can not fault it! Elle was our waitress she was very friendly and gave great recommendations from the menu. Will definitely recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Mixed grill and sirloin steak both perfectly cooked, side salad pot you choose the contents of a nice touch. steak knife is a mini meat cleaver! Super sharp very cool. Advanced booking essential if you want the Sunday roast, not available to walk ins or same day booking.

Not the best steakhouse we've ever been too. Meal wasn't very hot neither but we didn't have the time to send it back as we were seeing a show afterwards. Also, having brocoli on the plate as well as salad was a little odd? One or the other would have been better. Steak was OK but not the best we've eaten.

Food was good. Service was not. A couple of guests were late because they got lost. When we ordered our food we're not given to who ordered what. That's ok we sorted it out amongst us. As it was a special occasion for me. Although they allowed us to blow the cake given by my friend. We were told to leave within 15 minutes. Did the waitress actually think we could just gobbled up our food and go. There were no people actually waiting to use the table. They served the food ages. 9 of us then they expected us to just leave and go to the bar. What a joke

We went on a Saturday evening for a family of four meal. The service was good with friendly staff but the food was average. My wife had steak and I had a burger. Both were ok but we have had much better at other restaurants that don’t specialise in steak and burgers.

My partner and I tried 16 steakhouse for the very first time on 11/02 for dinner and I must say the food was well presented, tasted absolutely amazing and was hot. The only downside is one of our dishes was incorrect and we was going to mention something to the waitress but there was none in sight so in the end we ate it. It also took a very long time for our table to be cleared when we was finished as again no waitress in sight! I could see one in the kitchen on her phone and the others were by the bar having a chit chat. Perhaps this was just a one off but the staff definitely need to be more present! I would definitely come back and hopefully the service is a little better.

Harry Potter themed Xmas was great

Fantastic Jazz & Blues venue on a Sunday. Atmosphere is terrific in my opinion. Prices are more modest than you'd imagine for such a lovely place.

Top quality breakfast at a great price and included a coffee or fruit juice. Great value and a nice setting.

Absolutely perfect experience for my 30th. Steak was gorgeous, staff were great with the children. Surprisingly affordable given 5 steaks ordered with 3 3-course meals, 2 2-course and 3 kids meals.

Fireworks event. This was a nice event. Very relaxed. The craft fair was ok but a but expensive. A few nice charity stalls. Shame no cards taken at the stalls. Only had Pizza was wonderful. The service from the person who ran that was GREAT they gave Venue 16 a good name. Really rate that . The fire works were good too. Enough space for kids . Perhaps more kids stalls or outside stuff. The venue was very pretty.

I attended the Willow Suite as part of the Ipswich Speedway Supporters Club End of Season Dinner. The venue was very well set out for the event. The food, which was a pre ordered menu was excellent and a more than decent temperature. The staff were excellent without being overbearing, just checking that everything was to our liking. The 3 course meal was not rushed, ample time between the courses. I could not really fault anything, a most enjoyable evening.

What a great atmospheric place to eat. Venue is amazingly smart and with an open kitchen makes the experience even better.. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable.

Food and everything was great can't fault the place for anything like. But then the mens toilets was disgusting. Walked around 5pm to find the floor like a ice rink slipped and banged the side of my face leaving it red with a lump. A nice new £440 suit ruined as was covered in urine great way to go on holiday

Absolutely spot on with service from start to finish, very welcoming and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing! Me and my other half was so shocked how we've never heard of this place before! Booked for a Thursday evening for a buy one get one free on the burgers 🍔. But omg it did not disappoint us. The burgers were huge homemade thinking you only get one burger but you get 2 and have a choice of 2 fillings inside 😋 along with chips and coleslaw, the sweet potato fries were not on the crispy side. Next time we go will try the chicken one instead. Defo worth for a cheap evening.

Wow! As a steak lover my husband booked this for my birthday even though he is not a big steak lover himself. What can I say other than if you love steak go here, and even if you don’t go here as he was also in awe of how beautifully cooked the meals were! He could have had something other than steak as there was more on the menu, but opted for it and it did not disappoint! Every part of the meal was stunning, even desert which was prepared with a lovely little greeting, thank you! Staff here are just perfect too, knowledgeable and made good recommendations. We will definitely be back and I have just realised you do brunch on a Sunday too so we are going to try that one day soon. Thanks again 😊

Absolutely amazing anniversary meal. Brilliant service from Ellie and an amazing menu. Hubby loved the sea bass and the ramen was wonderful. Also best French coffee we have had for a long While. Wonderful evening

Anniversary dinner, opted for the Sunday roast option and it did not disappointing at all. Staff are amazing and food is top notch.
