Well I have to say we have been in many times well renovating our new home and the food always been great and the staff great friendly , we have even ordered Take away for our builders and they said it was great food and even walked up to get their own on some days. I always say you can only please some of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time. We think it’s great. Thanks Guys

WE were out walking on the Macclesfield Canal which fortunately goes through High Lane so stopped at Blueberries for Take away coffees. Fortunately, whilst waiting for these a batch of Bread & Butter puddings were brought to the counter. The slice was delicious and I would return for another tomorrow if I could!. Lovely staff and great coffee as well. What more do you want?

Time and again my family and I call at Blueberries in the bizarre and foolish hope that it has improved. And time and again we continue to be disappointed... Disappointed because the service is poor and the servers (when they dane to notice you,) genuinely believe they are doing you a favour by looking down their noses at you. Disappointed not one of us have managed to receive what we ordered this year (so far), despite most of our orders being straight off the page of the grubby menu. Disappointed because food takes an age to arrive, even though take-away customers are told that eat-in customers are prioritised – whilst eat-in customers are told take-away is prioritised! Disappointed as when meals eventually arrive they are both cold and overcooked – which doesn’t seem possible, I know! I have yet to see a soft yoke at any meal on a table I have sat at, or bacon that is more than just-above raw – or less than done to a cinder. One must ask if this is an alien plot to put humans off eating? Disappointed because nobody actually gives a monkeys whether customers have any level of satisfaction in what they have received. Disappointed because there is always something missing: Be-it toast, sauce or knives, forks or visibility of the table due to the detritus of previous occupants. And most of all I am disappointed in myself for having the reoccurring faith that next time will be better than the last. Still – there’s always next week!!!

Busy cafe on A6 at Highlane if you are lucky you can park outside but there is a car park on the same side towards Disley about 30 yards away. There is a ramp to the entrance as well as steps with some seating outside. Inside is clean and tidy with table service. Nice welcome and polite service. Coffee was good and nothing too much trouble. The sausage barm was lovely quality sausages in a mega fresh barm cake. (BUN) Will be back it was lovely. Obviously gets repeat local business which is always a measure of quality.

This is a small, busy, local cafe on the busy A6. Initially, not impressed due to the number of tables not yet cleared and no acknowledgement by any of the staff. It took some time for staff to take our order or give us drinks. My 2 companions had the full breakfast which they both said were plentiful and delicious. My own prawn marie rose baked potato was nothing special. Undercooked potato, cheap prawns and thin, watery sauce. However, the cakes are all home made and were utterly scumpious. I would go again for the cake and a pot of tea.

Just visited this lovely little coffee shop. I had the Blueberries breakfast: 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 fried eggs (over done but that’s how I like them) and 2 slices of fried toast; with a mug of tea (and a weird, tiny biscuit) this cost £6.00 and is served until 1.30pm. My friend had a generous sausage bap and a large slice of almond cake. This cost her £5.70.The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere is convivial. It’s the sort of safe place families are welcome as well as single people. My only gripe is the fact that they close at 3pm.(2pm. on a Sunday) and the toilets could do with sprucing up.I will go back. It’s a nice place to stop for lunch after a walk along the canal and the Middlewood Way.

I often travel 5 miles to this Cafe as I live in an upmarket village with ten eating establishments, all without the ability to provide a 'bacon butty'. Then after seeing people who had come into the cafe after me sitting down getting served was getting a little annoyed, but didn't say any thing, the young girl on the till could see I had been there a while but didn't think to ask the kitchen staff, if it was coming soon, so 40 mins later it came out and wrong!!!! Having recently moved to the area we have started coming here for breakfast on a Friday. The breakfasts are great and value for money. Produce is good quality (sausage and bacon are superb). Great cuppa. Staff are friendly and it's nice to be able to walk somewhere local for breakfast out. We haven't tried the lunches or cakes yet but if they are the same quality as the breakfasts no doubt standards will be high. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for somewhere to fuel up before a walk along Middlewood Way or the canal - or if you're too lazy to cook your own like me!

The food is nice, this I cannot deny. But the experience is just awful: there's signs to find a seat and someone will come to you. If you manage to find a seat in this tiny cafe, it takes a good 10 minutes for one of the young waitresses to even acknowledge you, another 5 minutes after that they might come over and ask you if you'd like a drink. In the past I did sit for 20 minutes onces before someone actually came over. Twice now I have been in and they never bring you your drink you order. You have to basically get up and ask for it twice. The service is extremely slow. When you're finished they never clear your plates: I once sat for 45 minutes with dirty plates in front of me when I arrived and ordered - and they failed to clear the table, I had to do it myself. The staff are all miserable teenagers who don't want to be there. The tables are always dirty because they use table cloths so there always covered in butter, beans, crumbs and other people's drinks. It's honestly frustrating how hard it is to get the staff's attention, someone needs to give those kids a lesson in customer service. It is all just very unorganised and slow and this has disappointed me every time I have visited. I've stopped going now, it's too much of a hassle.

Visited at Sunday lunch time, the cafe was very busy and and we had to wait for a table to become free, fine. A couple left and we sat down, within thirty seconds the waitress asked if we were ready to order, we asked for a couple of minutes but could she clear the table. We then waited 15 minutes for her to return during which time she avoided eye contact while dealing with the other tables, our table remained un-cleared. The waitress then asked if we were ready to order, we said yes, she didn't take our order but served another table and disappeared behind the counter, after another five minutes we got up and left. Yes they were very busy, we understood we would have to wait but, our table should have been cleared and if they didn't want to take any more orders we should have told. I'm sure on a quieter day we would have had pleasanter and less frustrating experience.

We visited Blueberries on the afternoon of Sunday 13th March 2016. Being a fairly frequent visitor of Blueberries this is the first time we have been disappointed on receiving such poor service. There were few people in the cafe and yet we had to wait 30 mins from ordering to receiving the panini's. They are usually served with salad and mayonnaise, however, on this occasion only a basic panini was served. A bacon barm with mushroom was ordered but was served as a bacon sandwich on 2 slices of bread without mushrooms. No knives and forks were presented, no serveates either. The table had been cleared, however, the tablecloth was dirty from previous customer(s). A repeat order of coffee's never arrived until the (very unhappy looking) waitress was reminded.

I have been to blueberries a few couple of times now, and have had similar experiences both times. As somewhere different to the usual Costa Coffee, blueberries fits the bill. It's a small cafe, that do fresh cooked food such as omelette and bacon sandwiches. The food is lovely, and comes well presented with a bit of side salad. The cakes are also fresh baked, and are good size portions. I also like that there is a different selection of cakes each visit. I would say though that the prices are a little more than what I might have expected. Two drinks and two cakes came to £2 more than a like for like at Costa. The ambience is cosy and welcoming, with a modern chintz look. It seems it's a popular cafe for mums and babies during the day, and dog walkers and ramblers at weekend. There are a few tables outside, so you can take your dog and relax and have a tasty lunch/snack. My only complaint would be that lots of buggies can fill up the small spaces between tables, so the cafe can feel very cramped. All in all a good cafe if you're bored of the usual coffee shops, or want a fresh cooked light lunch.

After 25mins no food, hubby went and asked we were told 2 mins. 10 mins later still no food, was told they were just bringing them out now..5 mins later a full 40 mins after ordering they bought out our Panini's. How long does it take to toast bread? By now it had gone cold and was starting to snow. We were offered a complimentary hot drink as apology after I made a comment, but couldn't risk waiting 40 mins for it. I'd ordered cheese panini but there was so little cheese on it, it may have well have been toasted bread. Very disappointed from what is normally an excellent place.

Not much point having lovely decor, games, newspapers, great cakes and an 8am opening time if you're going to employ young girls who can't manage to wake up enough by that time to crack a smile or get a very simple order right. After working 3 consecutive 12 hour nightshifts I had spent a long time looking forward to a sausage & mushroom bap being made for me only to get home and find I'd been given a bacon mushroom bap. Pretty crap that, girls. Try spending more time getting early nights instead of bleaching your hair or doing your acrylics. So it has no heart, no natural village centre. But what is has is one of the best Cafes I have ever been in. My usual is a wet latte. Order that in Starbucks and you get a bucket of foam. Actually we should not need to say 'wet' latte. Latte is without foam but the likes of Costa & Nero etc do not seem to know this. Recently made the kitchen larger which means loo's moved making the seating area much smaller and as a result becomes full very quickly. I have been able to get a table 3 times recently so unlikely to return

Don't miss out on this gem on the A6 at high lane. Serves the best breakfast around plus offers a great choice of homemade cakes & treats.

Best full english breakfast in the area bar none!!! but there is much more to this coffee shop, cafe. The owner makes the most delicious cakes and pies. The sea food quiche is brilliant. Illy coffee served from 8am. Have a stroll down the canal and then stop for a bite, seats outside if its a nice day. Highly recommended.

I went in this establishment and asked for a gluten free beer. I was told there was none. Having just come back from London I was extremely disappointed not to be able to have a drink after my journey. I’m assuming their food won’t be GF either.

Cornflake cookie dough and horlicks delivered, both I haven't seen anywhere else! Delicious creamy Oreo and Kinder Milkshake. Fast delivery, personal little note which brightened our evening. Can't recommend more!

What a lovely little gem this place is 🥰 Called in for a breakfast catch up with a friend today. Lovely owner, very friendly, great service . We had the small breakfast which was cooked to perfection whilst we waited . A really lovely way to start the day without breaking the bank . Great value. Delicious food and good company , we will be back , thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
