Great chips, even better, Irish curry sauce out of this world highly recommend it.

This is a very popular place with locals which tells you something. Reasonably priced with a seating area if needed and a good menu.

Haven't been here for a couple of years, but the food was really good. Decided to visit today and despite having a seating area inside I was told you couldn't eat in. Given the weather, I decided to go elsewhere for food where I could sit inside.

Nice fish...freshly cooked every time

Went in on the 15th after work meal came to £5 handed over a crisp £5 note the cashier went to the till swapped my Crisp £5 for a crumpled one told me mine was fake. I didn't argue as I was tired gave her a £10 she gave me my original £5 back in charge so a £5 meal cost £10. Be careful with your change the meal can cost you double. I am going to the police tomorrow so they can check the CCTV.

This is the best chippie in South Wales. It knocks spots off any chippie in Tenby. The food always fresh and to the order. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Cullen (hope ive spelt your name right) should be proud of his business and staff. If you haven't been to the Blue Pearl give it a go

This is our first visit to Maesteg which is a busy town with lots of lovely shops including Auturio the gift shop, Shirens the clothes shop, Daisy Boo the florists, Argos, New Look, Wilko's, Peacocks and home Bargains. There are lots of banks, charity shops and places to eat including the Blue Pearl Takeaway. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly face, hand sanitiser and a fantastic menu with great prices. We ordered two bags of chips, a large sausage in batter and cod which we ate at Garth Park. The park was beautiful with manicured gardens, a bowling green and playing field. The food was beautifully cooked, tasty and the portion sizes were excellent. After our dinner we drove through the beautiful countryside of Bryn to go shopping at Port Talbot. I would definitely recommend this takeaway.

The best Chips for miles💖 The freshly cooked to order cod is lovely (not over battered) other items I've tried sausage, rissoles are of good quality and always piping hot. Staff are polite and friendly. The best traditional take away in the Maesteg area.

Great freshly cooked food at good prices

The food is excellent, whether it be the Rissole, Chicken, Sausage or even just plain ol' chips you won't be disappointed. The ONLY issue is the length of time it takes to get served and that's not always because they're busy, you have 2 people serving yet you can still wait well over 20 minutes for food sadly.

Lovely fast and kind service, informative, kept out other food items warm whilst waiting on freshly cooked fish. Smells amazing when walking though the door. Although everything tasted amazing, the fish had bones.

Chips are always always freshly cooked. Staff very pleasant.

This is our new local and never fails. Corned beef pie, rissole, great chips, curry sauce, service with a smile, all firm family faves.

The portions sold here are big ,the chips are brilliant ,not a bit greasy ,really dry you can also eat in which is handy if you are tired after shopping and don’t feel like cooking when you get home the staff are friendly and the restraint is clean

Best Rissole and Irish Curry sauce around!

I've been here twice now, once taking away and the second to eat in and I can't recommend it enough. I tried Rissole for the first time and now I am hooked and I'm already looking forward to going their again, I would highly recommend you try their Irish Curry Sauce because it is to die for. I tried their ice cream, I asked for Chocolate and when I tried it it turned out it was Hazelnut which really given but allergies in this day and age I should have been informed. I didnt eat the ice-cream as I'm not a fan of nuts or Nutella BUT this did not in anyway ruin my meal there at all, I would have expected to have not been charged for the ice-cream as goodwill gesture as I had clearly left three quarters of my ice-cream left.

A lovely place to eat if you want something quick, cooked well, good fish and chips. Prices are good and staff friendly.

Been here many a time just for cone of chips ect for takeout, first time sitting in with my daughter, we ordered a chip butty,can of coke, my daughter had a kids meal of sausage and chips,carton of drink and had the most fantastic lemon and lime cheescake icecream for dessert. Staff absoulutley fantastic and friendly, made you feel very welcome and at home. Place spottless and as soon as people left there were staff cleaning the tables with disinfectant straight away. Chips are out of this world and you can tell the oil us changed very regularly as it had a crisp clean taste and chip ( unlike other chip shops in the immediate area, no names mentioned). Would recommend and they have a lovely selection on menu board Prices are average but the amount of chips you have is worth it, our bill came to £8.20 that's all!!, If your ever in town and want something to eat I recommend here you will not be sorry. (New owners lovely and down to earth)

Since under new management this chippie is the best. The family who run it together are very friendly and welcoming and the fish and chips are delicious l no longer have to travel out of the Llynfi Valley to get great food and l dine there twice a week. You can sit in as long as you want and l class the regulars and staff as new freinds. Highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

The Blue pearl is producing really good chips. I haven't got time to write a poem to them but they have been really good recently.

We had food today staff were friendly and the food was lovely the only down side was the seating bouthes are very small they were to close to table if I was a little bigger I would not of fitted but over all a good experience
