Blue Lotus Authentic Thai Cuisine at the Emmbrook Inn Hotel in Wokingham

Absolutely gutted that they have dropped the Thai food, this was exceptional, well presented, hot and delicious. Well i won't be sending anyone there again, what a shame, as I was always sending people there, because it was so good. Lino Len

Very disappointed to discover that they are not doing Thai Food any more due to a managerial decision.

We have been eating in this pub for almost a year now. The Thai food is fantastically authentic with a lovely fresh feel and deep flavours. We’ve probably tried about 80% of the menu and have not had one bad dish. If you like your Thai food extra hot just ask for “chef style”. The pub also has a good selection of beers and the wines are very drinkable with reasonable prices.

Went there this evening as it was my wedding anniversary and was expecting a pretty average experience, but was I surprised. Absolutely delicious and freshly prepared Thai cuisine with excellent and friendly service.

Heard that Mike had opened Thai takeaway in Finch. Best food around, fresh hot and very generous! Exactly like Embrook and the old food from the Bull at Barkham (avoid Bull these days, not a patch on what it used to be). Take away is shared with Bob's Fish and Chips and highly recommend

We are die hard Red Lion fans, and eat and cook Thai food all the time. With interest stirring in Wokingham about Blue Lotus we decided to give it a try. The menu is fairly small, and lacks our favourite sweetcorn cakes but that's just me being pedantic. Placing the order on the phone was easy and even though they don't do coconut rice, they were more than happy to make it for us, which was really nice of them. We collected the food and paid quickly. The building seems to be undergoing renovations which is nice to see. We ordered the the vegetable spring rolls which were really decent, and almost as good quality as the ones we had from the wurungs in Thailand. Chicken satay was lovely, although was missing the satay sauce so was a little dry. For mains we had the chicken massaman curry, really good consistency and flavour! Could have done with a few more peanuts and the chicken pieces were very thin which meant they were a little dry! ( but again that's just me ) My other half had the Chicken Katsu curry which he loved, although felt it needed more sauce. Overall a great addition to Wokingham, and its holding its own against competitors like The Red Lion and Giggling Squid. Really worth a try for a mid week takeaway, although currently they don't do delivery.

Got our first takeaway from here last weekend & blown away, haven't had Thai food for a long time & been missing a truly great Thai takeaway/restaurant, which we have now found in the Blue Lotus! Will be back for takeaway on a regular basis from now on & cannot wait to visit & eat in once open again. First class!

The food is very tasty. Lovely flavours and wonderfully prepared. We tried a few dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Their lamb is very tender and succulent. Highly recommended 🤩
