Street vendor coffee, really fast and polite service, and a really great tasting flat white, worth popping out from our hotel for. Starting my day off 👌

One of the worst espressi that I've ever had. Super bitter coffee with no taste. For the same price, you could even go to the Pret in front and sit down at least, and that's saying a lot.

I studied abroad near Russell Square and found this gem. I got coffee here pretty much every day for almost two months. The coffee tastes great, is super affordable, and the pastries are always good too. The people running the stand are some of the warmest and friendliest you will meet, will definitely try to return if I ever come back to the city!

Nice hot chocolate, very good price for it (£2.80) The staff was nice and polite, overall a very nice experience and will come again. There was a small issue where my hot chocolate had a small piece of plastic in it, and staff suspects it's from the lid. I brought this up, and staff dealt with it very quickly and non-confrontationally, offered me a new drink, and apologised for the issue. My two hot chocolates did taste slightly different, so consistency issues. But overall, I'll still come again.

This was a fun discovery coming out of the tube on the way to our hotel -- we knew we needed to try it and then just kept going back. It was delightful how quickly we became regulars -- the super-friendly baristas recognized and joked with us. (The cinnamon buns are so good!) I'm just sad we don't live there -- it would be great to be full-time regulars. Would recommend for a tasty hot beverage and a breakfast snack. (The weekend food options wane compared with the weekday feast -- but you can grab a coffee and pop into another spot for food if they're out of what you need.)

We spent a few days staying at a nearby hotel and stumbled upon Bloomsbury. It became part of our morning routine. Great coffees and pastries and you just gotta love a place where after a few short days your order and face gets remembered. Great way to start a day!!

I can’t speak for the rest of the baristas working there, but the barista we had, given the fact that there was no one else there, delivered quite frankly idle service. It may seem like a small thing, but we ordered two flat whites, flat whites which require two shots of coffee, not one. I should know as I’m a barista and also, another customer ordered the exact same drink after us and received two shots. To save time, this barista put only one shot each into our coffees and didn’t even bother to clean the portafilter before making our coffee, nor the customer after us’ coffee. This is just lazy, and given the lack of business at that point, pathetic. What’s more, when I asked him if two shots were in there, he said yes. Liar. So, to the young bespectacled barista in the Canada goose jacket, get better.

This was the first place I ate and got coffee when I arrived in London this time. I ordered a flat white and a croissant and was pleased with the quality, fast service, and price of both items. I've been back since I've arrived and plan to check them out again.

Incredibly good vegan options! The spinach pie and banana muffin were delicious! Friendly service too, will be back!

Update: Honestly the rating is just the coffee. The stand is nice and the barista was lovely, but the coffee was very disappointing given the prior ratings. I got a double espresso and there was entirely too much of it, not a proper double shot, and it had none of the flavor complexity or subtleties of quality beans and machine. I hated leaving such a low rating because it really does seem like a cool, convenient spot, but just not for me.

Very well priced and delicious coffees and pastries! 4 vegan pastries out of a dozen, tried 2, and both were amazing, especially when warmed up a bit. I haven’t tried the sandwiches, but will definitely do if they have vegan options. Looks like a local gem, frequented by people who live/work around. I need this street cafe at my doorstep!

When I discovered this small family business, I immediately decided that I should support it because it is an important part of community. We need to visit UCL area and find this coffee bar outside Russell Square tube station. It offers some good selection of bakeries and sandwiches, and very good fresh brew coffee! Staff are very friendly and I like the energy! Strongly recommend!

Cute little coffee shop outside Russel Square Station, so glad we stopped off! We had the most delicious, Americano and flat white, but the best bit was the muffin. Ive had many muffins in my life but this one won by a landslide. The staff are so warm, friendly, efficient and jovial! Wish we were around longer so we could visit again!!

Great place to get fresh toasted sandwiches. Friendly staff. Beware, everything is prepared earlier in the morning, so if if you come for a late lunch there might be little left !

I always respect a brilliant food place but this one is the best out of most places I have been.Been here three times now and never been dissapointed..The hot drinks are one of the best I have ever had,veg sandwich is definitely the best I have had,cakes definitely the best I had! The service is absolutely perfect.I will recommend everyone that visit Russell square and in London to definitely try this brilliant coffee and food place out because it's a hidden gem and definitely walks over any coffee place including the very top organisation..This is definitely the best and brilliant from the owners hope u have plenty of these all over the county because that's how good this place is..Well done and definitely the best 👌 Ps.Just read some negative reviews but honestly I disagree with them because everything I had from this place has been perfect but let say if they did let their standard drop it would still be better than most places..I do believe they if they let standard drop it definitely would still be the best out there! There is not a place up north that can match them on there sandwichs,hot drinks or cakes..I have been to coffee shops and food places abroad and not one has standards like here..The standard is very high and services with all this it's worth coming to this place.It so sad that places like Bloomsbury coffee co are very rare..Will always be visiting this place when in London..I will definitely pay ur money back if u don't like it because I know all true people will not complain just give a well done to the owners! Wonderful coffee and such a friendly vibe. It us primarily a to-go place, but they have very cute stands on both sides to stand or sit for a bit. The nice lady asked me my preferences and made it exactly how I wanted it. Great prices too, especially for the area. One of absolute favourites in London now.

Absolutely recommend this little stall. Friendly staff, delicious coffee and good prices. Someone wrote that the coffee is not artisan, not sure what they mean by that (maybe handpick the beans?). The coffee is made in an Italian style espresso machine and it's way better than in many other places where you pay the double.

I’m quite shocked by the good reviews. Please note that I am only rating coffee quality. And trust me when I tell you: This is the worst coffee I have ever had in London. It was worse than Pret and I couldn’t even finish it. It’s cheap and it tastes horrible. If you want a good quality coffee, don’t go here but anywhere else.

If I could give more stars, I would. This coffee stand is my favorite place to go in the morning! They have the best coffee, milk selections, pastry options, and sandwiches! They also make the coffee super fast, which is great for a rushed morning. Not to mention, the service is amazing! It’s always a lovely start to my day with a greeting from Harry! Loving that this is my new coffee spot! Try the iced vanilla latte with oat milk! :)
