Went here today for Breakfast. Truly lovely people very welcoming and a lovely Breakfast too. Best in the high Street and great value for money. Some people of Prestatyn if you have tried the rest now try the best you won't be disappointed x

Holy heavens ,they don't miss ya in this place ,Chelsea prices in ballyclare, hadn't been back home for a while but the price of this brekie was eye watering ,an omelette served with toast and two sausages with Americano weighed in at £15.00 each

Visited Blooms on Wednesday 17 August for a catch up with my friend. Excited to see gluten-free options. When gf toasted sandwich arrived it was on the wrong bread and when I spoke to the waitress her response was beyond absolute and total rudeness - she walked off back to the kitchen during my conversation with her.I had to get up and put the sandwich back on top of their counter and tell them I can’t eat this. I still can’t believe how rude she was and obviously totally lacking in food allergy education. Being coeliac is difficult enough when trying to find somewhere to eat but when met with a response liked I experienced it definitely makes you just want to stay at home. Change of staff and attitude seriously recommended if your business is to survive. Definitely would not recommend to anyone coeliac unless you are desperate. I actually joined trip advisor to leave this review as I’m still in shock over the staffs attitude!

Had a lovely lunch today chicken goujons with a lovely mixed salad, perfect, staffed by lovely young girls, very friendly, definitely worth a visit.

Needed to find somewhere for a late lunch before we hit the motorway and this place came up on Tripadvisor. Great food, lovely selection. Fab apple tart. Very friendly staff. Word of warning, payment is cash only, as we only had cards with us. All the dining areas are set up like rooms in a house, so very homely feel. Everything served in old fashioned chinaware, which adds further to the charm of the place. Great to be back indoor dining again.

Went with my daughter 1st time for coffee ,.have been back again for lunch the scones and tea/ coffee was lovely. Had the curry rice and chips for lunch big portion couldnt finish it all .The staff are really nice and the decor seating etc are lovely.Really clean and 5 stars on the door.

Visited Blooms with friends initially just for coffee and a scone but decided to have brunch as had missed breakfast. Had a filled soda and WOW it was massive couldn’t eat it all nice and warm and latte was delicious only negative was that it was very cold while sitting waiting on food and ate my food with my coat on definitely in need of some heating but decor beautiful and lovely ambiance but severely lacked heat

Lovely scone and flat white. This place is beautifully decorated with different rooms to sit in with cosy settees and chairs in each room, nice atmosphere. Food is beautifully displayed, lovely tray bakes, cakes, cheesecakes and also lunch. Staff very friendly and a lovely gift shop downstairs. Well worth a visit.

This is a fab place for either a meal or coffee and bun. The food is lovely and good variety. Difference specials on each day.

Lovely surroundings and pleasant friendly staff. Food was just ok. I ordered quiche and chips and got just that. No garnish, tomatoe or anything to colour the plate at all.

What a lovely Saturday afternoon spent here with my friend for her 30th Birthday. The food was plentiful & delicious & the staff went over & above to make sure it was a special experience. I highly recommend the afternoon tea if you fancy a nice treat, it’s probably the best one I have been too baring in mind I have experienced quite a few The Merchant hotel being one of them. Definitely worth a visit, I can’t wait to go back already.

This place is very comfy - great sofas. It has a relaxed unhurried atmosphere. The food is fine. Carryout sandwich was ok. Scones are pleasant. Staff are very nice and do a good job. It isn’t claiming to be anything other than what it is. Somewhere that is warm, comfortable, with pleasant staff and fare that appeals to most people.

I have been to a number of venues for afternoon tea but so far this one tops them all. The staff are so friendly and helpful and can accommodation special requests for sandwiches. We were shown into a small cosy room with a tv and offered Apple juice or procecco. At time of booking we were offered the £10 or £15 tea and we chose the latter. Our afternoon tea consisted of vegetable soup in a China cup with Guinness bread. Followed by well filled sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, vol u vents, cream scones and a small pale of chips! Then there was another cake stand filled with delicious mini cakes and cream buns! It was amazing!

Pleasant coffee shop/restaurant. Staff were lovely and food all looked very nice. Was in just for morning coffee and a scone which was beautiful. Layout of the shop is quirky and lovely furnished throughout. All in all a very good place to visit.

An upstairs coffee shop with lots of little rooms to sit in. Very friendly staff serving delicious food. It is open until 8 or 9pm for dinner and snacks too.

Ballyclare has so many great places in the town centre for lunch, blooms is a great we spot but the lack of car parking lets it down.
