Blanco's Hotel Restaurant & Lounge in Neath Port Talbot

We booked a family get together here for my aunt's 90th birthday and what a buffet they laid on !!! The staff could not do enough for you . The food was lovely a mixture of cold and hot including lovely hot cod goujons and tempura prawns! There was a lovely atmosphere and would like to thank Clive and his wonderful staff for a lovely afternoon.

breakfast was not great and the probably the worst I’ve had, it was a shame as previously had in Great breakfast at blancos hotel. The Christmas dinner was very good, rooms were clean as normal.

Beware - card payments only - didn’t get to sample the food as they wouldn’t accept my cash. Bit of a poor show for a larger establishment and not very inclusive 🙄

Stayed here before, so booked again. Very disappointing. Breakfast 🤮 will not stay here again, something must have changed in the last 6 months???

So normally stay at the Premier Inn, stayed here this time, the room was fine, clean etc the bed was comfy. The breakfast buffet was functional and hot. Would I stay again, yes👍

Arrived at blancos after a busy afternoon of shopping in Cardiff and Bridgend called in last min for food! Great welcome from all staff, seated with friends! I had the gammon and an egg! Beautiful hot fresh food, service second to none! Big shout out to Christian for looking after us!!!

My partner had steak which was excellent however I had lasagne which was disgusting and would say it came from a supermarket packet. It was supposed to be vegetarian but had one green pepper and the rest was runny and nasty. I had glass pop which was flat. Never again!!!

When i entered the establishment i had a woft of that can only be described as poo and piss.The young lady with brown hair she was rather small had bad breathe and was also accompanied with a chip on her shoulder.When i said that my food was cold she simply told me to sit on my food to warm it up.

Stayed here to visit family as I have lived in London for many years. The first thing I was taken back on was how friendly the staff were. They were polite and couldn’t do enough. The beds were very comfy and the food was delicious. Big thanks to Macie and Ollie (sorry if I have spelt the names wrong) but they are a credit to you guys and couldn’t do enough at table service. 100% would come back and be excellent cooking from the chefs.

My sister in law booked a family meal here for 18 people payed her deposit and they askes us all to book the meal from the menu before the visit and of course we all did she again confirmed this on another 2 occasions when we arrived the staff had set up tables for only 8 people then they rushed around for tables and chairs after sitting down the manager came and again we had to say what we ordered to eat , the tables were dirty and tacky to touch and the placemats were so dirty i dont think they had never been washed at leased the cutlery was clean. meals finally arrived after a 25 min wait and this is when we all gasped the meals were terrible we had people having their meals first and getting chips or potatoes last so food going cold no condiments ie vinegar had to ask my meal i ordered twice a burger this is the first time i have ever ordered a burger in a restaurant so had it medium cooked i expected a nice home made juicy meaty burger but what i got was a still frozen quarter pounder from iceland so i sent it back it came back just minutes later still uncooked i know i ordered medium cooked but not from frozen i could have got food poisoning the waitress was not pleased and said ill bring the chef to speak to you and im still waiting for that needless to say i did not pay for my dinner as did a lot of my co diners

We recently celebrated our engagement with 14 members of our family. Firsty I'd have to say how beautifully decorated the restaurant is. The staff that looked after our party were professional and very attentive. Our drinks arrived quickly after ordering and once all our party were seated the young man looking after our table asked if we were ready for our meals... They soon arrived very well presented and absolutely delicious. Well done to the chef on that evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed. My fiance and I are looking forward to visiting again soon.

We have been coming here for years and understood post covid that things were different. We went to Sunday lunch today and as a vegetarian had nut roast, boiled potatoes, carrots and peas. People who had meat had roast potato, roast parsnip and yorkshire. We ordered cauliflower cheese at an extra £1.95, but this did not arrive. There was plenty of staff but we had to wait ages for them to take our order. Profiteroles were supposed to be served with cream, and we had to ask for it. The cheese cake just came on its own. Two courses was £16.95 which in all honesty was not really worth it. We do not even have peas and carrots at home. What was supposed to be a celebration, was not one.

Visited for Sunday lunch with family. The conservatory restaurant was airy and the tables were well spaced out. Service was very good and staff were friendly and professional. The beef was absolutely amazing; so soft but the vegetables were nothing out of the ordinary, boiled potatoes, carrots and peas . It would be nice to have something different, mashed swede or cabbage. There is cauliflower cheese but there is an additional charge. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend.
