Blaenau Takeaway in Gwynedd

Called here for a couple of kebabs. One Shish and one Doner. Must say they were generous and flavoursome. Must say things are different in this area, no yoghurt dressing or jalepenos, so we settled for mayonaisse and chilli sauce. Nevertheless, two good kebabs.

Moody man on the phone , complete your order and he just Just hangs up the phone. No indication of how long your food is going to be, and its impossible to understand him as he just mumbles and grunts at you, food was below average, will be making the extra 8 mile trip to the one in the next town next time , Probably will not return unless drunk and was going to throw it up anyways 🤷🏽‍♂️

After a long day at work I went to my local kebab shop for a take away for myself and my family including my 6 year old son. I had Donner meat and chips, with cheese, X2 sauces and a nan bread. I got home and ate a piece, and thought it smelt funny. Assumed it was the sauces. Checked the nan bread over and there it was, mold. I took this back to my kebab shop and asked for a refund as I didn't feel like eating another kebab from there, and they refunded me £5. The cost of the kebab would have been at least £7/£8 as the Donner meat and chips alone is £6.60 before X2 sauces, cheese and the NAN BREAD. I'm just glad it was my food and not my son's.

Ordered two pizzas and garlic bread to share with young children. Pizza average, and the garlic bread was just a bit odd , overcooked on top and undercooked underneath.

The kebabs we had were so tasty, it was exactly the food we wanted. We had lamb kofte and doner kebab with garlic sauce and chips. Quite salty but that's exactly how it's done in Turkey.

Used this takeaway twice while we was away first we had a burger and fries we've been traveling so didn't want to cook was excellent very tasty and filled a hole, Quick service and very plesent staff, Second time we ordered two 9" pizzas very tasty and well worth the money excellent value for the money. Would highly recommend this takeaway. Thanks.

Pizza, a Veg, was very good at a good price. Staf was friendly and food was ready quickly. It is too bad that there is no delivery option but the take away offers the option to order food by phone and then collect.

Waited ages for my order only to get home and saw that i got the wrong order.. think there is a big difference between chicken and doner and ham and mushroom.. how can someone get that wrong.. guted

Well. What can I say?! It's a fast food takeaway. It's not gourmet food, but it does what it says on the tin. HUGE portions of fresh chicken in my kebab. Crispy chips, and doughy cheesey pizza. We're on hiday, so won't be back next week, but we wih our kocal kebab shop/ takeaway was as good as this! Must be popular with the locals (always a good sign) as the shop was full and they were queuing out of the door 👍🏻

I had a chips and cheese last night and it was put in the microwave by the kebab and I wanted to take it back but the kebab was closed and might go to the chippy or Chinese next time because the chips were like rubber 😡 😤

If you value your money don't eat here, I'm not racist but being served by someone that can't understand or speak a word of English is outrageous. not once since I've lived in Blaenau have I ordered a meal from here without it being wrong or cold... Sort your sh*t out Blaenau kebab

Always a cheery welcome, in a style that is truly Blaenau, mixed with an Eastern twist. With a great choice, as you might expect from a kebab shop, there's always something to tempt the taste buds. But it's the friendly welcome and quick service that keeps us going back.

With most pubs and restaurants not serving food on a Monday evening, we were lucky to find the Takeaway open: great food (fish and chips, plus a pizza), and very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, too...

Stayed in the area for a few days and needed a quick meal on the first night. Cheesy garlic bread was really nice, doner meat wasn’t great but definitely not unpleasant and the chips were, well chips.

Decent little takeaway, all the usuals. Pizzas are tasty and deep pan, enough toppings to pick. Kebabs are tasty and fresh, the place is your standard popular kebab house

I have had the misfortune of having to stay in Blaenau-Ffestiniog, I’ve tried this kebab house a few times now and I’ve never tasted different types of food that taste the same - pizzas, kebabs and even burgers - just so you get a flavour of the taste - go outside and lick your window and that will taste better - stay away unless your blind drunk and you have no respect for backside

Called in here after a long day of walking. Easy to order and freshly made food. Lots of vegi options. Reasonably price aswell

By unforeseen circumstances I ended up in Blaenau, I thought it would be a safe bet going to the kebab shop for a good old doner meat and chips, but oh how wrong was I, luckily I didn’t have to eat it and ended up buying a pizza from port kebabs. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews on here, my dog will eat sheep poo but hasn’t looked at me since I tried feeding it the doner

We ordered portions of large chips that were not very large and were quite greasy. We didn't think they were too bad but then had chips in Porthmadog later in the holiday that were the real deal and made us realise that the Blaenau Takeaway chips weren't great.

we go here off and on for a few years always found food very nice some thing in the take away a bite prices. good for kids meals

Had a chicken kebab as we had a one night stay in Blaenau Ffestiniog and we were to late to eat in the near by restaurants The chicken was fresh coated in a lovely spice salads and pitta was also fresh

Thoroughly appreciated the delicious and very filling (and well priced) kebobs and friendly service offered at Blaenau Takeaway. If you're hungry after a long day's hike, this is a great place to go!

We went here after taking the kids up Snowdon...well, half way up Snowdon. Service was quick, kebabs were good, the chips were a bit cold though. Wouldn’t put me off going again, but would probably opt for trying a pizza next time.

Went one night when we were being lazy with the cooking. Generous portions, everything well cooked and hot - even gave our little one a free large bottle of coke!

We ordered chicken kebabs and chips which were cooked well and the staff were cheerful and chatty. The shop was also very clean and tidy.

my whole family have used(and stil do)use this take away,it is good for kebabs,garlic bread,burgers etc,the food is very tasty,and i would recommend it to anyone who likes take away food

Me sirvió un chico muy genial que me dijo que él venía de Capadocia en Turquía. Por desgracia, la comida no alcanza el servicio. Pedí gambas y patatas fritas, pero cuando llegamos a nuestro aparcamiento picnic pintorescas descubrí que me habían dado algo que ciertamente no era pescado, nuggets de pollo es más probable, que había sido preparado en aceite que era meses. Las patatas fritas no estaban mucho mejor. No pude comer nada por 8 horas.

Had takeway from here as unfortunately were too late to eat out. The pizza we had was okay but nothing to write home about.Also the kebabs etc on display did not look overly appetising. Staff not very welcoming.

Amazing food amazing people I'm there I would recommend it to friends and family pizza is to die for and the burgers are amazing as well

Used to go here regularly when we lived in blaenau. Always had delicious food. Very friendly staff. Often gave us free bottle drink with our food too. Definitely recommend.

Food was hot and ok but what else do you expect from kebab house. Fairly price considering it's got most of the business on a Sunday as it only one of the places we found open for food

Amazing takeaway. The guys in there are so chatty and have great customer service . My favourite is garl8c bread and cheese

Turkish guys that run the place are really friendly - they gave us a free bottle of coke. Would recommend the take out pizzas - ours were delicious. Didn't try anything else as were only staying in the village for a short period.

The lads serving were friendly and premises were very clean. Good varied menu giving a great choice at reasonable prices. Open till late unlike the rest of the village.

After a long day walking up Snowdon the special kebab ticked every box. I haven't eaten a kebab in a long time and this one really did not disappoint. It was quite honestly the best kebab ever!

Cheerful efficient staff, consistently good takeaways, be it kebabs or pizzas, been a customer for ten years and have no complaints. Simple menu no frills you get what you ask for. Open all year till late.

One of the nicest pizza's I've ever had! We were in Blaenau Ffestiniog for the weekend and on the evening we arrived we didn't really feel like a sit down restaurant meal and decided to have pizza, so glad we made that choice as the pizza was out of this world! Lovely clean takeaway, friendly staff, the pizza was cooked to perfection with tasty toppings in abundance. I would thoroughly recommend trying them. It's well worth a visit to this little town even if it's just to try the pizza!!

Went to get some dinner last Sunday. It was good especially with the limited choice. More over the food was halal according to them. A bonus. Would go again if I am around.

WE have been getting our take away from the Blaeunau takeaway for every week fo ralmost 9 years. We have never had anything to complain about. Food is always served quickly and tastes great. The pizzas are always generously topped with ingredients, I actually have to ask for mine with less cheese on! This takeaway is a real asset to Blaenau, keep up teh good work guys :-)

Best place to know in Blaenau, as opens late-until midnight during the week, and not much earlier of the weekend, which is brilliant when everywhere else shuts by 9:30-10 otherwise. Strongly recommend the pizzas, delicious and decent size for not too bad a price...just what's needed after a long day's exploring of the local mines :-)

Yes it's only a pizza restaurant but it was a good one. The food was freshly prepared. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble, my daughter especially liked the fuss that was made of her.

I went to Blaenau for lunch and it was the cleanest chppie i'd ever been to! I ordered a 1/4 cheeseburger and it was delicious! Worth going to!
