Blades Hotel in City of London, Westminster

will not go back here - dusty old carpet not very pleasant! Below the owners replied that the rooms are hoovered daily - well, they probably need to get new vacuum cleaners! I hate to be negative about experiences , if they had bothered to have a customer feedback card at the hotel I would have gladly told them directly. Its a shame that the standard was shabby - no need for this despite the price class

We stayed September 2024. If you plan on being out experiencing the city all day this is perfect. The rooms and bathroom are very small but clean. The service is minimalist. BUT, the location is great...short walk to Pimlico underground station, mini markets, coffee shop, and key bus stop going to Westminster. Very convenient and safe. Overall great value given sky-high London hotel rates.

Great location, very friendly, welcoming, and patient staff! Rooms are fairly priced for the area, clean and charming. It’s a quiet street, but still very walkable to anything a solo traveler or couple might want to see.

Walking distance to Nine Elms and Pimlico Tube station.

Very good hotel. Room very clean and bathroom clean. I did have to go up 3 flights of stairs to my room no lift as building his old. I stayed 2 nights. Very busy road out side on the Friday night therewas noise at 3 am with some one arriving in the room next to me.10 minutes walk to London Victoria coach and train station bus 24 is nearby to take if you have aheavy suitcase. I would stayagain

The room size is ok. Unfortunately no hairdryer as described. The bathroom takes some getting used to. Since we were here for a city trip and didn't spend much time in the room, it was ok.

shame about the many stairs without a lift and the absence of breakfast. Nice area and close to the Metro.

Ce n’est pas un hôtel. Mais une maison transformée en plusieurs chambres. Pas d’insonorisation.. chambre sale, douche avec moisissures.. nous sommes restés 1 nuit sur les 4 de prévues. Pas bon rapport qualité prix. Sur les 4 nous avons été remboursé de 3. Mais avons tout de même été prélevé de 180€ la nuit.. un peu chère pour une telle chambre! *** Réponse à votre commentaire : Une attitude étrange ? La moisissure est dans la douche, si vous regardez en levant la tête, vous la verrez. Les grosses poussières se trouvent sur les étagères (les seules même de la salle de bain), au dessus des toilettes, ou se trouve la bouche d’aération. Et les toiles de poussières sont au coin des radiateurs. Dans la chambre, nous avions une coiffeuse sur laquelle les taches de thé ou de café n'étaient même pas nettoyés. Soyez un peu honnête, nous vous avons envoyé un mail avec tous ces éléments, et le lendemain lorsque nous sommes revenus pour partir, vous aviez fait en sorte de tout nettoyer. C’est un quartier cher, on l’entend. Mais pour 20€ de plus la nuit, nous sommes allés dans un autre hôtel, le nouvel hôtel était vraiment un hôtel, propre, sans moisissures et sans nuisances sonores. Donc à 180€ la nuit je pense que vous devez recevoir vos convives dans un minimum de confort et de propreté. Ce qui n'était pas le cas, bien qu'à 10 minutes, au « Wellington Hotel By Blue Orchid », tout était propre, et pour le même prix nous étions à 10 minutes à pied de Buckingham, alors que votre logement à vous, de trouvé à 20 minutes à pieds de Buckingham. Donc votre rapport qualité prix est bien mauvais étant donné que pour le même prix, nous trouvons plus proche des monuments. Mais aussi plus propre et plus confortable.

Bien placé à proximité du métro, la chambre est confortable rien à redire si ce n’est le lavabo qui est un peu petit. Le quartier est calme, même en donnant sur la rue.

Be aware that the rooms are very small and there are extra charges for changing towels and bed sheets, which is really odd. The toilet flush was very noisy and the sink was clogged . Very bad experience.

Jeg havde en force majeure og det til trods, var det ikke muligt at ændre reservationene, ikke en gang mod et gebyr - det var så dårlig service og jeg vil aldrig bo et sted der behandler sin gæster så dårligt

Perfect for a quick overnight stay - upgraded our room for free as had a better one going spare which was great!! Well worth the money if you’re looking for somewhere in walking distance of main theatres, service was cheerful too 😀

very convenient location. Quite a quiet hotel on a not very busy street. This is an old house that needs renovation, the doors and floors creak. cleaned up quite clean, no bugs) There weren’t USB ports for charging, they should already be in hotels. Plus an incomprehensible requirement for additional payment for late check-in, which we only learned about from a letter after paying for the hotel. It would be nice to have a handing sign “no service today”.
