Lovely little cafe/deli on the main road in Abersoch. Full of wonderful speciality food items to buy, including freshly made food. Opted for a slice of quiche & sausage roll. Neither were cheap, but both absolutely delicious. You certainly get what you pay for & these items were worth every penny.

This place is now I believe called Blades Deli and Bakery. Fantastic deli has a selection of organic/handmade/local items. Brought a couple of chutneys, pickled onions. But the real star of the show was the homemade vegetarian quiche and also had a home made vegan pastie for my daughter who has various allergies all for a fantastic price. Can’t find places like these where I live in London. On top of that was giving away free fruit and veg because was unable to open shop during the festive period . Went to the ‘Deli’ down the road no offence it’s not really a deli it’s a coffee shop. Run by 4-5 teens. Hey they’re baps are freshly made but in terms of character, service and quality doesn’t have an iota on Blades - keep up the fantastic vibes and ethos.

This is a great place to eat, too small but we were able to sit outside, yes the price of the quiche and salad it a bit dear but you get a lot for your money, big thick slice of home made quiche and a very large portion of salad with soo many different ingredients, very filling and tasty, would not hesitate to visit again, wish I lived nearer.

This is a small cafe in the centre of Abersoch. When busy it is too small with people blocking the door when trying to order. Unfortunately when we went we encountered an embarrassingly bad experience. In front of us trying to order at the counter were a very nice French family with 2 teenage children but with rather poor English who tried to order food. The way they were treated was shameful I am sorry to say. The person behind the counter was inpatient and felt that shouting at them would give a quicker result. We spent 8 days on the Llyn Peninsula and were amazed by the friendliness of the people - this was the exception that stood out. Although it did not involve us directly, it left us very embarrassed. The food was OK which is a shame that this is a tiny comment on a cafe review

I can only presume the cafe has changed ownership. Used to be a frequent patron but after todays visit I will find alternative establishments. Ordered a quiche with a salad garnish. Whilst the quiche was tasty the portion was small and the salad garnish consisted only of a few salad leaves and one cherry tomato cut in half. Under the previous owners the portions were very generous. Not worth the money.

If there is one thing that annoys me more than anything, it's people peddling average goods at hugely inflated prices. I've just had my associate buy lunch, 3 chicken and bacon sandwiches,£14.50 for this, I'd expect to pay that in Central London. And yes it might be extreme writing a review about it, but it really gets my back up when people blatantly rip people off. If I had gone in myself I'd have flatly refused them. It's quite easy to charge almost £5 for a sandwich, so why not actually offer value for money and make it a £5 sandwich rather than a £1 sandwich you can buy from a fridge in the spar.

Stopped in Abersoch, and back away from the harbour just out of the main retail and eatery area, is Blades Cafe. Has a small entrance and on this day it was unpleasant outside. Had small eating area inside, which was very warm. Ordered 2 sandwiches one with Crab and other Ham/Cheese and Pot of Tea for 2. Excellent Service, sandwiches of exceptional quality. Various other meals available and appeared to also of high standard. Not expensive. WOULD RECOMMEND as place to eat, just short distance from main retail area. Parking at front and around corner. PS this area has same narrow streets however good width near Cafe.

Called into this lovely little café for brunch and had a gorgeous bacon, brie and caramelised onion roll on the most amazing sour dough bread (slightly salty properly cooked bacon, creamy brie and melt in your mouth caramelised onions), Mother had smoked salmon and scramble on a proper doorstop size slice of toast (with lovely soft eggs rather than the rubbery specials you can get, plenty of tasty smoked salmon and tasty toasted bread) . We were both enjoyed our food hugely and I was lucky enough to have room left for a piece of coffee cake ;o) . Now Mother has made amazing coffee cake for years so all gets scored against hers and Blades coffee cake easily equals to Mothers except when she fills it with rhubarb and ginger jam that is. We will be visiting Blades next time we visit Abersoch.

After researching a good breakfast near where we were staying, we stumbled upon Blades. My partner ordered a normal breakfast but after being given less than a few vegetarian options, I eventually ordered the granola. This is the place to go for a healthy lunch in Abersoch. The food is all good and the salads really healthy and fresh. The coffee is also of a good standard. Too many cafes in Wales serve a very poor brand of coffee which tastes of chemicals and is bitter...(I won't name it here)! Blades serves a different brand which is of a very high quality. Infact, Two Islands and Blades were the only cafes in Abersoch which we found that didn't serve the other, dreadful brand! The staff are friendly and helpful. Sweet little cafe with great food and drink. Good prices and quick service. Outside seating for people watching. Dogs welcome outside. Only complaint....I disagree with previous review comments regarding the American waitress. Without doubt the most annoying service I have ever encountered. I dont need telling where the salt and pepper is (on the table, in front of me) neither do I require the 'salad menu' to be described to me, Nor should that response be uttered when asking for tomato sauce. And ordering a cup of tea should never elicit the response 'that's perfect'. Its not. Its a cup of tea being ordered. If this is typical of service in America, it should not be exported to us. The owner manages to be charming, friendly and helpful without the patronising immature attitude adopted by the American.Dont let this put you off mind; probably the best cafe on the Llyn peninsula despite this.

We stopped here for lunch on a sunny afternoon after seeing that it was highly recommended on TripAdvisor. Initially the menu looked a little sparse, but to our relief, the chef came over and described all the dishes in useful detail. We chose the Brie and apple tart and the ham and leek quiche. These come with a 'side salad' - but not like the side salad you get back home! On a large plate: a good sized slice of quiche, coleslaw, fresh broad and kidney beans, beetroot and more that I can't remember. It was delicious, and unexpected after the understated menu.To finish I had a lovely cappuccino and a coconut and raspberry tray bake. What makes this five stars is that the food is very tasty and reasonably priced, with excellent friendly service.

A lovely friendly cafe in a beautiful Welsh Village. The owner couldn't do enough for us. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Cyclists and walkers welcome. Highly recommended

Perfect place to stop for lunch after a lovely coastal walk in the area. Yummy soup, great Welsh rarebit and super friendly service.

Excellent food, freshly prepared, and a great salad bar. Seating outside on the wide pavement adds to the feel of 'being abroad'....weather permitting!Avoid the tragically trendy in some of the other cafes and enjoy good food in clean and tasteful surroundings. Lovely friendly staff and owner, dog friendly outside.Good selection of drinks outside the usual hyper sugar junk, and really good coffee. And cakes...!

They give you a very good amount of ice cream and addition addings aswell, however, the ice cream was pretty quick to melt even though it was a cold day that day 😅 but overall very delicious

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

Great fish & chips supper here this week! And, most importantly, friendly service with a smile! We'll be back!
